[Day 7 - MM] Resistance Meeting [Closed]

''What is your suggestion then?'' he asked the brat, keeping his tone neutral

"If I may," Dove looked to Sinnya.

"It's in our best interest at the moment, for now, to keep Vandil around - alive and satisfied enough. But Sinnya has a good point in that we are wise to avoid becoming too cozy with her... before we know it we become a crime syndicate rather than a resistance, running mobster-errands and not fighting the Imps."

She looked around. "I suggest we don't take any approaches to do her dirty work - as the Resistance. Or the CIS --- well you guys do your thing, I guess. Anyway, it could be better if people with plausible deniability take the hit-job on the Disciple, just because it's in our own interest that they don't eliminate our current ally. Not the Resistance. Don't make it an order either..." Dove had belief that there were enough crazies in the ranks here who could think of taking the job just for the cash being offered. That way the Resistance could keep their hands clean, and some people would walk away with a cash prize, while Vandil stayed alive to do business with the Resistance.

"We could potentially offer her something else in return. Which I'm all ears to hear suggestions for. She seems like a lady who enjoys intel as much as money herself."

“Yeah, that’s safer.” Sinnya nodded. “Not that she isn’t useful, but we can’t owe her favors. Especially not big ones, or we’ll regret it. And we’d better be real careful just which info we share with her. As little as possible.” Sinn’s smile was edged. “Just don’t forget how she got to where she is now. It wasn’t by being loyal to her friends.”

Let somebody take on the Disciple if they wanted to; this new gang boss really did sound like bad news, and Sinn wouldn’t shed a tear for her. But that was the business of whoever chose to try it.

"It is a better option, Bowze," Dove agreed, but she didn't hide that she was undecided on the matter.

In the end, she looked to Yusandr. "This is my opinion anyway, commander. It's your call. We don't have the resources to be conducting multiple ops at the moment, while also trying to prep to take out The Dictator."

''Controlling communications and information is primordial no matter what we do.'' He retorted ''We could lauch the operation at the foundry while the Dictator is occupied''

Still leaning back in her seat, Dove crossed her arms as she looked at Bowze thoughtfully. In her mind, something was balanced on the edge of a knife, waiting for something to be a determining factor in which side it would fall.

"You seem awfully interested in launching this operation into the Foundry's database."

''I am'' he simply replied ''I am not one for flashy victories so I prefer high value strategic targets. I do not say it will be easy but it will be easier and we could gain from this asset on the long run.''

Plop the thought went on one side of the knife, and Dove decided not to push this issue further. At least not here. And it was too early in the morning for this stuff already.

She smirked briefly and waited for the meeting to move on now.

“We are not in bed with gangsters, but we can benefit from her help, that’s it. I am not going to give her another opportunity to get more hooks in this operation if the CIS has less cruples have at it, but that’s my line.”

She thought hard and said, “We will begin the attack with a ground assault on key locations in Rygor meanwhile we insert a group into the station to make their way to station controls and disable defenses. This will hopefully draw the Dictator into orbit and then we spring the trap with our Mon Calmar allies, this should allow the real strike team to strike the ship disable key systems and either disable the craft or put it in a position that will either force them to retreat or allow us a chance to destroy it.”

“I’ll fully break out roles of what is expected and relay to our cells on the ground. This is the plan, I appreciate the input and perspectives. Our goal is the Dictator, we keep it simple and focused. Understood?” she finished.

''If we can get starfighter superiority in the battle ahead we may very well pull it off against the Dictator'' Bowze said ''What are our targets on Rygor?''

"I need to consult with our field agents but I am hoping it will be the Hypermatter Foundry and key Imperial posts around the city," she said.

Djanik kept his expression bland.

What a hell of a first battle for his squadron.

Tapping his datapad, he began scheduling more drills.

They'd need them.

He nods ''I will take part of the groung assault and see what else we can provide as support for your fight against the Dictator and the Bex infiltration team.''

He scratches his chin

''It won't surprise you that I wish to strike the foundry myself for all prior reasons''

[Dapper Dog]

"We want to minimize damage to the facility, Rygor will need it," Rayne added.

''I understand the need.'' he assured

''Now what is the evacuation plan?''

[Dapper Dog]

"Talk to Weggs, she has a better handle on what we will need to get people out of here," Yusandr replied.

[Bowze Coppa]

''Very well. It might have been missed earlier but a CIS lieutenant got hold of old star maps containing several hiding spots and disused, perhaps forgotten, hyperspace lanes. This is quite valuable for us.''

[Dapper Dog]

"Let's scout them first," she responded.

[Bowze Coppa]

''Of course. I am sending them to Captain Djanik'' and he did ''If there is any old CIS relic in those place, though old pirate and smuggler's den is more likely, get me informed as I might be able to reactivate those with minimal problems.''

[Xanna Teevou]

"The Jedi will deal with the threat from the High Inquisitor, preferably before the fighting begins. Then we will assist you however we can in the operation against the Dictator. " Those of us who survive the encounter.

Bowze restrained the cringe he felt.

At least the meeting was over

He rose up and reached for a donut.

I will inform HYDRA and the rest of the CIS to get their opinions...but we really could use that access

As the meeting came to a close Dak turned to Dove "Have time later to have a little operational meeting? Maybe over drinks?" He asked with a small smile, the two did have plenty of business to discuss but also a chance to at least semi relax wouldnt be bad.
