[Day 7 - MM] Resistance Meeting [Closed]

[Dapper Dog]

"You have been bringing all these people together, thank you, Master Jedi," Rayne replied with a smile.

[Djanik]

Djanik sighed, going over the data sent to him.

He'd done what he could. Now he just had to try and help everyone get ready, as best they could.

Sometimes it was very lonely, being responsible for people.

He sometimes wished he had another flight lead to compare notes with - at least when the Mahon had a captain, he could confer with them.

With nobody else wanting his opinion, he just focused on his work.

[Bowze Coppa]

Djanik sighed, going over the data sent to him.

He'd done what he could. Now he just had to try and help everyone get ready, as best they could.

''You look tired my friend.'' Said Bowze moving closer

[Xanna Teevou]

"You have been bringing all these people together, thank you, Master Jedi," Rayne replied with a smile.

Returning the smile she then looked around the table and back to him. "Many beings have joined us, some from unexpected quarters, and now we have a plan. It is good to see hope where it had not existed before, and to have played a part in that."

[Djanik]

Djanik chuckled. "I am."

Scrolling through the status of all 12 headhunters, he added, "I've done what I could, but I was hoping to get my squadron some experience before throwing them into the crucible..."

A soft sigh. "But they aren't wrong - we have to do something big enough to galvanize people. We need your long term planning, but we can't ignore the moral needs of the people."

With a faint sigh, he looked back to his datapad. "I just wish I had a few more months... or years."

[Bowze Coppa]

''It is a difficult balancing act.'' he agreed ''I don't think we will ever totally see eye to eye in the ways we operate but that will not stop us from cooperating.''

He tilted his head

''I though you would seize on the scouting mission. It is a valuable opportunity to work as a squadron and get used to all the machines involved.''

[Sinnya]

Sinnya smiled when Yusandr invoked the Force to close the meeting. It wasn't exactly the way her mother's people invoked the benevolent spirits of the planet, but it was close enough to feel homey, almost like family.

She caught Xanna's eye as the Pantoran looked around the table. "Good luck with that Inquisitor. I get why it needs to be Jedi that go after him, but... he's a threat to the Aznuri wise ones too. The forest people won't be sorry to see him gone."

Djanik pondered.

"We'll need to fly cover for the Mahon - Arqittens are good craft, but they are not well equipped with point defense."

Looking through the details of his own ships, he added, "We have some strengths of our own, but we'll have to be careful, all the same."

[Xanna Teevou]

She caught Xanna's eye as the Pantoran looked around the table. "Good luck with that Inquisitor. I get why it needs to be Jedi that go after him, but... he's a threat to the Aznuri wise ones too. The forest people won't be sorry to see him gone."

She gave the Twi'lek a nod in response. "Thank you. It will not be an easy task, but we will do what we can to end this threat to your people."

Xanna was not yet sure how, but the force would find them a way.

[Sinnya]

"If there's anything you need..." Sinn trailed off. The Jedi had lightsabers and team training and... she wasn't really sure what the Aznuri might offer that would be useful to them. Swoop wings? Good wishes?

[Bowze Coppa]

Djanik pondered.

"We'll need to fly cover for the Mahon - Arqittens are good craft, but they are not well equipped with point defense."

Looking through the details of his own ships, he added, "We have some strengths of our own, but we'll have to be careful, all the same."

''Yes, squads of mixed fighters have problems of their own.''

[Xanna Teevou]

"If there's anything you need..." Sinn trailed off. The Jedi had lightsabers and team training and... she wasn't really sure what the Aznuri might offer that would be useful to them. Swoop wings? Good wishes?

"...I will of course let you know. The High Inquisitor is arrogant. He may not even consider the Aznuri a threat. But he is powerful, so we Jedi will attempt to neutralize him before Inquisitors can do any further damage to the peoples of Bankor." It seemed like the sort of thing that Jedi should do.

[Dove Gray]

As the meeting came to a close Dak turned to Dove "Have time later to have a little operational meeting? Maybe over drinks?" He asked with a small smile, the two did have plenty of business to discuss but also a chance to at least semi relax wouldnt be bad.

Dove picked up her datapad. "Some light drinks could be nice. Not too much, as I think I will be working tonight."

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak nodded curious but they would have time to discuss matters later obviously "Bistro a bit too public, meet at my ship in the hangar?" Dak had requisitioned a small scout ship that came with even smaller living quarters but plenty big for two people to just have drinks in for a couple hours and Dove's crew seemed to have rules about guests.

[Ria'la Tu'roth]

Ria'la was going back over his notes.

"Dataspikes in the comm network . . . . why can't we just do that ourselves? We must have a Slicer somewhere on the team. Won't have to pay Vandil a thing then."

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak heard the reporters question and turned toward them "Well for one Rygor is closed up tight right now, we have to be careful just being in the city much less trying to get close to data entry points that are likely being watched closely. It was difficult to do the first time with less eyes and a distraction going on. It's much easier and safer to just get access to what Vandil already has set in place."

[Ria'la Tu'roth]

Ria'la put both hands behind his head and grimaced.

"So much we should have done before they ran us out of Rygor."

[Djanik]

Djanik pondered.

"We'll need to fly cover for the Mahon - Arqittens are good craft, but they are not well equipped with point defense."

Looking through the details of his own ships, he added, "We have some strengths of our own, but we'll have to be careful, all the same."

''Yes, squads of mixed fighters have problems of their own.''

We have a consistent group, the main issues are that they outnumber us and beat us in the turn." He scowled up at the holographic Dictator, floating over the planning table. "The main issue is the numeric disadvantage - we'll be leaning hard on either spreading the enemy out or bringing in sufficient help... if we don't, my squadron will go out in a single savage furball."

[Sinnya]

Xanna held up her hands. "I apologise, I did not mean to offend. The Inquisitors appear to believe that everything is beneath them. This is what I was referring to. They wish to destroy or subvert all force users in the galaxy. The Jedi, the sky-called, the Baran-do sages, the Gand Findsmen. They would remake them all in their own image."

[Sinnya]

Sinnya sighed. "Yeah, okay. Just... too much time around beings who talk like my Ma's people are just poor helpless savages. Or a cute little costume club, or something." Her eyes flicked around the other people in the room, and then she shook her head, dropping her gaze with a slight apologetic shrug. The Jedi almost certainly hadn't meant to poke her right in that sore spot, and others had been infinitely clumsier about it. Which, of course, was why it was sore now.

[Xanna Teevou]

Xanna nodded in understanding. "Four years ago there were perhaps 10,000 Jedi. Our people became friends thousands of years ago. As far as I am aware there may be 90% of the Galaxy's last remaining Jedi here, on Bankor, now. So, I do believe the force means for us to stand with you. Beside you. Together. " No matter the cost.

Suddenly she felt drained. As though the weight of the galaxy was on her shoulders. Against the Inquisitors. Against Lord Vader. The Jedi would not leave the Aznuri to their fate. It was the fate of them all. Better to stand and die together than alone. But she decided it was better not to express that that thought. With a bow to those assembled she

''But if the Mon Cala carriers have ships of their own and good point defence systems we can turn the tide. TIEs are fast and can do damage...but they can't really take it.''

[Djanik]

"Trust me, I know TIE fighters. I flew one for a while."

He shrugged. "It's going to depend on what comes - last I heard the Mon Cal didn't have a huge navy lying around - so I won't get too excited. We're going to be fighting uphill, either way - not willing to let my guard down just because I'll have some backup."

[Bowze Coppa]

"Trust me, I know TIE fighters. I flew one for a while."

He shrugged. "It's going to depend on what comes - last I heard the Mon Cal didn't have a huge navy lying around - so I won't get too excited. We're going to be fighting uphill, either way - not willing to let my guard down just because I'll have some backup."

"Ah! Of course...an oversight on my part, my apologies." He scratched the back of his head

"I assumed you piloted an ARC-170 last. Now, that was a good versatile ship."
