What's your feelings on... (Day 7 LA, The Coyote)

"Yeah. I think I'd say my requirements are simple; no weird entanglements that can disrupt the team, and applicable skills - for the plan we discussed earlier, if we're going with that."

If Ru'ni stayed on, with his baby mama, and a kid... they'd have to change plans, but they could also do some good with that. Maybe some Aznuri-aligned crew could be useful to the Resistance somehow?

[Astin Denive]

"I'll keep that in mind if I do some poking around." Not that he had too many people he trusted enough to ask along. Most people didn't like him much or vice versa.

"I suppose we'll make the adjustments we need though, if we need to."

[Dove Gray]

"Yeah. Besides, I don't wanna fill up too much either... for when Mia comes back." If she came back. Dove was in truth worried if she'd see her best friend again.

[Astin Denive]

"Aye, we do need to keep room for Mia.... That means we're only looking for one." Two could likely work too, but that might make the place a bit cramped.

"We can likely manage that."

[Dove Gray]

"Yeah... and well, it's only for one position, so... it's not like I can't do that one." Dove shrugged. She was about a good a shot as she was at being a co-pilot.

"You and Floats already fill two of the most important jobs."

[Astin Denive]

"I suppose if it comes down to it we can always look into a droid too." They often times weren't as good as a an actual person in the same position, but they could do the job.

"Hell, if it came to it Floats and I might even be able to make a droid out fo scrap."

[Dove Gray]

"Hmmm... droids do have their uses," she agreed, tapping her chin gently. "Could you make it into those fancy combat droids?"

[Astin Denive]

"Possibly? Never tried anything like that before." It'd be pretty hard he was sure of that. "Would be pretty pricey, with the weapons and armor plates needed to make it too."

[Dove Gray]

"Ugh, you're probably right."

Getting up, Dove went to pick up something stronger to drink. "Well... here's to hopin' that tomorrow doesn't go too terribly. I'd prefer it if we don't get screwed over even more for this upcoming confrontation with the Imps."

[Astin Denive]

"I'll almost gaurentee that we will be." AStin replied finishing his beer, and placing his plate on the table so he could go fetch another.

"But you know, luck or something could actually be on out side. You never can tell."

[Dove Gray]

"I'm countin' on it to be," she chuckled dryly. "Because we need all the luck we can get these days. As if challenging the Empire isn't hard enough but this NuCIS-thing is like... ugh... I'm getting tired of them acting like they're the only ones with tactics or knowledge."

She poured herself a glass of whiskey. Sadly, only the local sort. Not as smooth as the Corellian kind. "Kriffin' males thinking with their inflated heads."

[Astin Denive]

Astin smirked. "And here I thought I was supposed to be thinking more with my head, and less with my penis." He replied jokingly, as he moved to claim the bottle of whiskey after Dove was done

"I can get what you mean though, I'm guessing that former general is as arrogant as ever?"

[Dove Gray]

"Arrogant?" she scoffed. Judging by the doubleshot in her glass, it was probably accurate.

"He talks as if the rest of us are kids running around with toy-blasters. Like he's the only one with a plan, or experience. Pretty big talk from one who was merely a posterboy back on his homeworld thanks to nepotism."

[Astin Denive]

Astin was probably guilty of a little bit of that himself, and he'd need to at least try to rein it in. Pouring himself a single short he shook his head.

"Sounds like he thinks he has something to prove. Like he doesn't want to be the same old figurehead, so now is just making a mess of things."

[Dove Gray]

"Could be. I'm no psychologist. But it's an annoying mess." She sniffed the whiskey first before taking the first big gulp.

"How can there be a united resistance when you have a rogue group running around calling the rest of us useless and dumb."

[Astin Denive]

"Good point." Though in his mind the Jedi weren't far off. "We need to figure out if we're allies or enemies and commit to it."

"Better yet would be to be just one faction, divided loyalties may cause problems down the line."

[Dove Gray]

"That they have that secondary base? Fine, that's only smart to have some small cells scattered about. But the whole oh we're our own thing is just dumb. We should be part of one group."

She sighed, and took another sip of whiskey. "At least the Resistance is getting connected with other Resistance groups on other worlds. There's some ships comin' in for the big night."

[Astin Denive]

Astin was rather pleased that he wasn't the only one convinced that they needed a lot of changes in the future. But then again, dove wasn't as brightly optomistic as many of the other members of the resistance. Even if occasionally she did seemed to get carried away.

"Yeah that's a plus, the Mahon is a nice vessel but on her own she doesn't have much of a chance. Hell even launching her, without a distraction we risk giving away this bases location."

[Dove Gray]

Dove would probably be best described as a good-humored realist. At least if one were to ask her.

"Probably, but... well, if it succeeds, then we shouldn't have to worry about that, right?"

[Astin Denive]

"Probably not, with a few good distractions they won't be watching the surface." Or at least that was the hope.

He shook his head. "Honestly I'm still more worried about what comes after. Not that there is much to be done about that now."

[Dove Gray]

"What about it worries you?" she asked, feeling it was partly her responsibility to hear out such thoughts. Not only as a fellow crew-member, but as a leader too.

[Astin Denive]

"I'm worried about the Imps response, I know we aren't the only ones making moves, but what happens if they send a whole battle group here?"

He shook his head. "After all, this planet is plain full of jedi, and they're putting a lot of effort into killing all of them."

[Dove Gray]

"Eh, probably Jedi elsewhere, I'm bettin'. Force bringing 'em all together, or something." Dove waved a hand. "You worried their presence is going to draw a lot more attention?"

[Astin Denive]

"If it was just one or two of them? Nah, I think we'd be okay. I'm pretty sure we have a half dozen or more so and that's probably close to enough to found a new temple."

At least it seemed like enough, how many people did you use to really found a temple though?

Well, if no one had told Astin about the moon-temple then Dove wasn't going to be the one to break those news to him. He didn't need to know that she knew.

"Huh. Maybe," she said at first, sloshing her whiskey around in the glass for a moment. "Though a lot of the stuff that's happened hasn't had much to do with them though. Like the Aznuri, or the Mandalorians, or the arrival of The Dictator. It's been other things at works, and I think the Jedi have just been... I dunno, a bonus for the Empire?"
