[Day 8 - EM] Aquaphobia (open)

[Zerras Blume]

"There are a few people here." she nodded. "They're helping me figure things out. How is your work on that other ship going?"

[Elaranu]

"Other ship? ...nothing beyond... well, preparatory work, I am afraid. Blue prints and measurements and tool gathering and material counts. Which is really the... important part of course... blech."

Ela turned to the potted plant next to her and leaned over it. For a moment it looked like she was contemplating throwing up, but it passed, "...it should not take long once I get down to it, barring setbacks."

[Zerras Blume]

She really had no idea of the complexities of engineering, but Zerras nodded and smiled.

"Did you come here for parts or supplies?"

[Elaranu]

"Mmm... I came here to see if I should do so. The ice base is well enough, but small and lightly staffed. I came to see if it would be a better idea... to do the install here. From what I've seen, I am not convinced that would be the case."

[Zerras Blume]

"I could help you look around, but I wouldn't know what might be helpful to you." she said apologetically.

[Elaranu]

"From what little I saw, there is not a lot of open space in the hangars... I will simply need to look more later. Still, thanks for the offer; It should not be too complicated."

She looked up from the pot and sat back again, looking back at Zerras.

"Anyways, I think I should be the one asking if I can do anything to help you, no? You... already helped me. And are the one unsure you need to do."

[Zerras Blume]

She shrugged. "I enjoy helping others. That's what I've always wanted to do. I'm still learning how to do that."

[Elaranu]

"I could say the same, I suppose. ...what were your plans then? Here I mean? Were you looking for someone or something in particular, or were you just looking around?"

[Zerras Blume]

"I just came from breakfast, actually." she answered. "I'm staying in one of the dorm rooms."

[Elaranu]

"They have dorm rooms here? ...what are they like?"

Ela was just starting to feel a little bit better; Her head was still foggy and her body weak, but things weren't spinning around her quite so much. By a small degree, admittedly.

[Zerras Blume]

"Nothing fancy." she shrugged. "A small room with bunkbeds and a desk. Each wing has a refresher. There's a clinic and the mess hall, too."

[Elaranu]

"Are the environmental settings fairly comfortable?'' she asked with a small degree of curiosity.

[Zerras Blume]

"Well, I've only been here one night." she explained. "My room was a little on the cool side, but I didn't mind."

[Elaranu]

She gave a nod, "...my new home is in a room carved out of the ice. So I was wondering if I might now want to move. Not that the cold bothers me as much as the heat anyways."

[Zerras Blume]

"I imagine this is warmer than an ice cave. It's probably dryer, too." She looked down the corridor. "I think there are some unoccupied rooms, if you'd like to take a look."

[Elaranu]

A nod, "...perhaps a moment more though. I am not sure how standing up will go at this moment, after all. ...it has been a while since I have had an attack this bad. Everything is still throbbing."

[Zerras Blume]

"Of course. Take your time."

[Elaranu]

Ela looked up at the human curiously, "And you are going to just wait? I really wish I had some way to repay you for your kindness here; It was my fault for forgetting my medication back on my ship, not yours."

[Zerras Blume]

"I'd like to make sure you're fully recovered. And, it would be nice to explore this place a bit with someone." she explained. "Maybe you could show me your ship sometime?"

[Elaranu]

That got a wide smile from the Chiss woman, "I would love to be able to do that."

Hand on the wall she stood up, legs still a bit wobbly. "I think as this point, I should probably take your suggestion from earlier and find some place more comfortable to sit."

[Zerras Blume]

"There's a lounge of sorts just down here." Zerras pointed. "We can sit and you can tell me about your ship."

[Elaranu]

Ela nodded and put a hand on Z's shoulder, "That sounds wonderful; If you know the way, feel free to lead. And do not worry too much about the water. I will manage."

[Zerras Blume]

"It shouldn't be an issue." she smiled. She led them down the corridor to an open space with a sitting area. It wasn't much, but the seating was comfortable.

[Elaranu]

Ela was kind of disappointed the seats weren't leather upholstered... but then again, when she was coming down from a panic attack her mind tended to focus on the oddest things.

Brushing it aside she took a seat with a sigh, not even bothering to keep up appearances by sitting up properly as her head lolled back on to the top of the back of the double, armless seat.

"That is much better, I will admit. Though the floor was nice and cool; There is something about being cool that makes this whole process more comfortable."

[Zerras Blume]

"It can be soothing." she nodded. "It's easier to find comfort in the cold than in the heat, I think."
