[D9 MM] Final Tweaks

[Sacha Ordo]

There was some whirring and clanking as Sacha experimentally started the engine. It was finally starting fully, but it needed some things before it was finally spaceworthy. She walked down the gangplank and underneath the ship, heading over to fiddle with where she heard the noises this time.

She found the problem right away, fortunately, and started to work finalizing the repairs.

Dak had slept in a bit after a very trying day. He got out and stretched his legs hearing the hangar in full swing. Mechanics welding and hammering away at thing preparing for the big op tonight.

Dak found a station and made himself some kaff, he turned to leave and saw a familiar metal face working away at her ship. "Hey Ordo you want any?" He yelled gesturing with the kaff cup.

[Sacha Ordo]

"Please," she called out, setting her spanner to the side. "I'm just about finished with the ship."

Dak filled another cup and walked over underneath the ship and extended an the arm with her kaff towards her "There you go Ms. Ordo will there be anything else?" He said sweetly and then chuckled.

"Ship's looking good though, you've done some solid work on it." He said in an appreciative tone looking around.

[Sacha Ordo]

She took out the straw she carried, waiting for it to cool before taking a sip. "Thanks. I wasn't sure how it would go, old as it is."

"Well that seems to have not really been a problem for you Ordo. You are certainly skilled. You'll make a great armorer for your people." He said with a smile.

"You ready for it all to go down tonight?" He asked leaning against the landing gear slipping on hand into his pocket while he took a sip of kaff.

[Sacha Ordo]

"Yup. Last thing I need to do before Ven and I take off tomorrow. Assuming we both survive, of course," she gave a small, dry chuckle.

"Ahh you guys are heading off real fast huh?" He said with an even tone but there was a touch of disappointment in his eyes

[Sacha Ordo]

"Ben wants to make a name for himself, and the Enclave here has Horus. I need to track down the Darksaber," she replied with a sigh. "You sound disappointed."

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak chuckled "Is it so weird for someone to be a little disappointed when they find out their friend will be leaving them in less than 48 hours?"

[Sacha Ordo]

"Ahhh, that's what it is," she replied with a soft laugh. "I thought you might hold not sticking around for the Resistance against me or something. We can keep in touch."

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak shrugged "Hey this is hard thankless work, risking your life every day and loving a dangerous wantedblifestyle isnt for everyone. I wouldnt hold it against anyone if they had other goals. And hey you know if you ever need anything and I'm not busy living a life of intrigue I'll be there." He said with a small smile.

[Sacha Ordo]

She nodded, then shrugged. "It's funny you'd think I'm doing it for that reason."

[Jurdak Surt]

"No you're doing it because you have other things to do, I was just explaining that I dont hold it against anyone if they decide to follow a different path as I dont expect people to do this. You've got big things going on Sacha, cant expect you to hang around forever just didnt think it would be so immediate." He said with a chuckle.

[Sacha Ordo]

"Gotta start early if I want enough clout and ability to get us to fight as a whole," she replied, tilting her head.

He nodded "Makes sense, what's your first stop you think?"

[Sacha Ordo]

"I need to figure that out... Right now, all I know is that the last person who held what I need is connected to Vandil," she replied. "Which is troublesome, since I'm not the most subtle person in the galaxy."

Dak raised an eyebrow "Her mysterious backer?" He said half talking to himself running his chin.

Then he smiled "Hey why not give me a tour of your new ship?" He said cheerily.

[Sacha Ordo]

She smiled and rose, leading him up onto the ship, closing the gangway behind them after he started heading up the ramp. "Come on in..."

Dak looked around a bit "So now that we have a bit of privacy, you wanna explain how Vandil is tied to your guy with the dark saber?" Dak asked intently it seemed Sacha might have a puzzle piece that he was missing with suspicions.

[Sacha Ordo]

"I found out from someone else. I only know that they wanted to go after Vandil to try and force his hand, and that we were talking about the same person," she replied, uncharacteristic venom in her voice as she spoke of him. "That implies that he's probably that mysterious backer, which would make sense with what I know of him."

[Jurdak Surt]

"But do you know who it is that is backing Vandil? Do you know their name?" Dak asked obviously invested in the answer "I've known there was someone pulling strings in the Dawn for awhile but I've never known their identity."

[Sacha Ordo]

"His name is Maul. He was a red-skinned Zabrak with black tattoos and the worst yellowish eyes. His entire lower half was cybernetic," she explained. "I don't know if he still uses that name, but that's what he went by when he took over Death Watch." She gripped her right hand in a fist, and he can hear the creak of the material beneath from her grip.

"He should have suffocated in that damn pod."

Dak saw she was getting upset thinking about this and he reached out to hold her balled up fist gently "Hey it's alright, just trying to figure some things out. We dont have to talk about it if you don't want to." His voice was as gentle as his grip. Besides she had confirmed the name and given him a full description of the man and some past activities. Hes tracked people with less info.

[Sacha Ordo]

She took a deep breath and let it out, turning toward him. "You better believe I want to talk about it. He threw us into civil war, split Death Watch. I want him dead. If there's any chance you're willing or able to help, I want to know," she replied, voice less angry, but still very serious. "If I can be involved with it, even better."
