It's been a while (D1 LM closed - Qareme's place)

[Verse Aura]

"Out of curiosity, which ones did you and your master save? It'd be nice to know if anyone I knew managed to make it. Although... well, I guess I might reveal that information if I ever got tortured by this inquisitor, so maybe it's better I didn't know."

[Qareme Torth]

"There are some here that I know you will meet. It is the Way. However, I ask you not judge them for their decisions, Verse. Not everyone wants to continue fighting."

Qareme looked back at Verse, adding. "Why did you come to Bankor?"

[Verse Aura]

She resisted the urge to roll her eyes. She totally wasn't going to judge anyone or whatever.

"Well, it was really just another planet on my grand tour of the galaxy, you know? No special reason, least not as far as came from me. Just seemed like a good place to lay low for a while before moving on again. It's getting more and more dangerous the farther coreward you go, and I've done nothing but strike out on stuff I was doing in the mid-rim anyway."

[Qareme Torth]

Qareme nodded.

"Interesting. You have seen much of the worlds then. What is the situation like outside of Bankor? I have heard very little, and none of it good."

[Verse Aura]

"It isn't. I mean, most people aren't feeling the Empire's boot yet, but there's a lot of places where people buy into the lies completely. Thinking we're traitors and all. And where they don't, well, that's where the boot comes down."

[Qareme Torth]

"And so you come to Bankor, where the seeds of a resistance are starting to starting to sprout and thus where the Empire will target next."

Qareme smiled.

"You have not changed. I am thankful for you being here, even if you have picked a poor planet. The Force works in mysterous ways."

[Verse Aura]

"I've actually changed a lot. I changed my clothes, and I've started listening to some new bands. There's this one band that does this throatsinging thing, mixed with rock? I think they might be a Hutt band. It's pretty whizz."

She finally took a sip of her water.

"But yes, very mysterious. But still, we have to trust it'll all work out, right? I still believe that, despite everything."

[Qareme Torth]

"Outwardly appearances and taste in music do not replace the soul inside."

There was a small frown.

"Although the notion of throatsinging with rock music sounds very unusual. Ah, nevermind. I acknowledge I have very little taste for many things, perhaps music is just one of them."

Then Verse asked the question. and Qareme nodded.

"Trust in the Force. Everything will work out, I believe it. These are very dark times, but at the end there is light, even if the light seems so far away now it will not be gone forever. Hold onto your hope and your belief. Guide those who have lost hope. Every one of us, big or small, has a part to play in restoring peace to the galaxy."

[Verse Aura]

"Still, trusting the force aside, we should probably establish a way to exchange information and the like, when we come across it. I have a feeling things are going to heat up around here pretty quickly, and we shouldn't stumble about in the dark when it happens because we can't communicate."

There was an awkward pause.

"Though, I don't have a commlink, so communicating is pretty hard."

[Qareme Torth]

"If I'm completely honest, I have just walked to where I needed to go. It is perhaps not the best method of communication though" Qareme nodded "I am wary of commlinks, so perhaps a more primitive approach? A secure location to leave notes?" Qareme suggested.

[Verse Aura]

"That works, a dead drop or something?"

[Qareme Torth]

There was a nod.

"Somewhere out of the way. Hmm. I know of a spot here in the slums, if you go under the bridge to the north, there's many broken parts of buildings and other things that have been left to rot. It would be ideal."

[Verse Aura]

"I'm sure I could find it," she said with a nod. "Easy!"

[Qareme Torth]

"I know" another nod "if I have any information to pass on I will use that method unless the Force deems to bring us together. Take care of yourself, Verse. I will keep an eye out, but as one can tell by the situation here I sadly cannot be everywhere."
