[Day 2 - LE] The Money Shot

[Jabber]

"Well, I don't shy from any work, but I would prefer-"

Jabber stops as he sees a human approach Vandil. He recognizes the desperation in the man's eyes. Jabber had felt something similar when he had approached the Hutts when he first arrived.

"There's a third job then?"

[Vandil]

“Oh my, look what the vinecat drug in and here I thought I would never see you again after that beautiful sculpture to add to my collection,” she said to Mahon.

“You were always my favorite,” she said rising and then produced a custom blaster and put the barrel to his forehead which caused Mahon to close his eyes. She continued, “On your knees, and beg and you might walk out of here, old friend.”

[Mahon Jiut]

Mahon complied slowly getting to his knees and said, “I am begging you… I… need access to Imperial… Imperial ciphers, it’s important. I have… I can pay!”

[Vandil]

“You don’t have any money you drunk, so what can you offer me that I would possibly want,” she clicked the safety off.

“Make it quick you sleemo schutta, I have business to finish.”

[Mahon Jiut]

“I’m… I’m working on a new painting… it’s gonna be my best work, you… you can have it, I swear,” Mahon blurted out.

[Vandil]

“It better be,” she removed the blaster and then used the butt of the weapon to leave a nasty shiner.

She took her seat and said, “We have an accord, I want that painting before the end of the week or you won’t survive it. See my man, Gusto, he will set you up.”

She looked at the jawa and added, “There is no third job.”

Mahon scurried away with his life.

[Jabber]

The Jawa shrugs. "Sorry, when someone is that desperate I thought they might owe a big favor, and favors to you...well, respectfully speaking ma'am, well they don't come cheap, which speaks to the quality of your services. And big favors usually mean big rewards."

There was something nagging Jabber, but he couldn't quite place it. "I'd prefer the "requisition", unless anyone is battering down the door for a spot. Work is work."

[Daunt]

"Colour me interested." Daunt remarked, having waited out the interdiction. "However, if they aren't your friends any more, Vandil, then whose. All the gathered here have very diverse friend networks, with little overlap."

[Bowze Coppa]

Bowze followed the drunk with his eyes. Only a few things could need what he just asked of Vandil.

And with his despair palpable...the nemoidian did not believe he would make it

Vandil shrugged and said as she put away her blaster, "I don't care, they just need to die."

[Djanik]

Djanik sighed. During that entire show he'd had one hand in his pocket, wondering how nasty things were about to get. Once it went back to business... well of course the zabrak would be looking for blood.

"I'll help get that case off the boat."

Rising stiffly to his feet, he gave a little nod to the rest of the 'team' and added, "It's been a long day, and I'd best get some rest."

Stepping out of the VIP section, he made his way to the bar, looking for something to ease the ache he felt... just about everywhere.

Then, drink in hand, he moved to where he could listen to the music, still trying to make some sense of exactly what sound they were going for... it was interesting, and unusual.

Lately he liked both.

[Bowze Coppa]

Bowze did not like this...Vandil already had plenty of goons to deal with whatever ploblems she had. Her hiring outside possibly meant that she did not want the hit to be linked to her.

And they were expendable...and he did not trust any of them...

Further more he had a drunken painter to follow

''I am afraid I am no...expert in these kind of matter. With your approval, Lady Vandil, I would retire from this project and let the more capable of violence handle it.''

He rose from his seat and get the woman a long bow

''I thank you Lady Vandil. I will gladly help for the heist but for the other one I leave you to your privacy.''

He thus exited the VIP booth

Venator listens to the jobs up for grabs. He is not really a hitman but could do the job if needed. "Pardon me if I ask a quick queshion lady Vandil. For that heisd, who are we gonna pilfer?"

"People that have things I want, does it matter? If you do it right they won't even know," she said with mild annoyance.

[Venator Praedae]

[Vaya Mer'darrow]

Vaya watched the interplay between the new, desperate "VIP" and Vandil while trying not to visibly flinch in anticipation of a blaster bolt in close quarters. The sound, and the not-quite-total flash-vaporization of a skull and associated organic matter... Yup, savvy self-made businesslady, that’s Vandil. She quietly let out a breath when he left unharmed.

Drifting closer to Jax, she spoke up. “I’m on the boat,” she declared, hoping no-one contested it. She did want work, and she didn’t want to go on this vaguely described murder for hire, or with with anyone who would volunteer for such a thing. I guess I’ve learned something about my hardbitten criminal persona.

[Venator Praedae]

Venator nods. "Good 'nuff for me. I'm in darl'n."

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak looked around "Well Vandil you have my contact info let me know the time and place for this boat job but if that's everything I'll enjoy the band for a bit."

[Vandil]

“So let’s break it down for the Vrakul Trident, the captain has what I need which will most likely be kept in their primary secure vault. There are two secondary vaults, one in the cargo hold and one near engineering besides the one on the captain's deck. The captain typically is the only one with the key to that primary vault outside security which is an option,” she said to the group.

“You’ll need a voice imprint of the Captain and the First mate to access the secure area where the vault is held and hopefully disable security. Typically on these luxury ships if security goes down there is an immediate distress beacon so… keep that in mind.”

“Otherwise the rest is up to you, I want the case unopened. Steal what you want, but I want that case. Without the voice imprints you better have a world class slicer,” she finished.

[Vaya Mer'darrow]

“So let’s break it down for the Vrakul Trident...

Vaya leaned in, listening intently with her antennapalps while casting her eye over the others in on the score. Jax, Dak, Jabber...*

“Otherwise the rest is up to you, I want the case unopened. Steal what you want, but I want that case. Without the voice imprints you better have a world class slicer,” she finished.

"Any world-class slicers?" she asked ironically, looking around. "Otherwise, let's see if we can break this down a little..."
