"Hello there," she said to the Nautolan. With a tone of... country twang? "I'm Jiam Sarcav. And you should be careful around this one." She wiggled her fingers toward Astin, suggesting some disdain. Then she turned back to him and it was clear why: "Do you remember my sister's name any better than mine?"

With that he glanced back to Floats. "That just means you're not showing em off to the right people. Best to look for someone that's interested in seeing you topless, they're likely to want to have a good look at your scar then..."

She said this last part almost in response to all the talking about stab wounds.

"You know, bacta could probably heal that up anyways. And if not, synthflesh is always a solution. If scarring is a problem, that is."

"Well then I think you've got a pretty good union and bacta based future....although I'm gonna take a wild guess and say you're not from around here, and by here I mean this part of the galaxy? Looking to floats he smirked. "I suppose the trick is to find some one like that then" He looked the Nautolan over for a moment. "I mean from my point of view your tits are pretty nice, but them I'm a humans not really a expert on your species "

She started to speak with careful control: "I'm sorry to interject... Actually, I'm pretty happy to in this case. If, Floats, you're ready for this hustler to take advantage of you for his own fun, then just carry on. He's very experienced in just looking out for himself. On the other hand, if you'd like to avoid his drama, I'm going to sit over there and have a drink. I'd enjoy hearing about your troubles without trying to get you out of your clothes. Country girls gotta stick together in this crazy galaxy," Jiam said with--was that a wink at Floats?

As she started to walk away, she spoke up so the blue woman could hear: "Good luck to you, too."

Ela nodded to the woman with the wavy hair before turning to Astin, crossing her arms, "Was that one right that you intended to take advantages? I may not be from around here, as Miss Floats suggested, but I know when something is a roguish thing to do to someone."

Astin shrugged. "Honestly I was going to suggest that me and Floats get together and try to find her a fella sometime soon. Don't really have to be me."

He nodded his head towards Jiam. "What our friend over there doesn't know is I only stood up her sister on that last date because I was in jail at the time, apparently Imperials dont like it when you drive people around at a high rate of speed."

Taking a swig of his beer he smirked. "Still you are both welcome to join her at her table if you like. I won't deny that I like pretty women and i think sex is the second best thing in the galaxy." He paused thoughtfully. "Maybe third, depends on how you qualify things."

But what I really remember is I was such a good shot, and my sister was such a good shot, that our tooka-cat started getting real lazy from that day forward." Jiam chuckled, recalling how chubby the tooka had gotten and how much Prenny had loved that lazy old thing.

Elaranu sat at the table, glancing at the departing Nautolan before turning back to the dripping man, "A fiesty response, but not unexpected, I think. First time yu have gotten a drink to the face or no?"

AStin reached over the bar and picked up a towel, pausing to wipe of his face. "Honestly I would of prefered getting slapped. Throwing drinks around is a good way to get yourself cut off." He replied with a shrug. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a few credits and slid them towards the bartender. "For the mess T."

"Do you think the barperson would blame you?"

She tilted her head curiously, hands on her lap as she sat up straight.

"That's probably something best asked of him." He gestured towards T, who was finishing cleaning up where liquid and ice had hit the bar. "Either way I'll tip him because of it. I Was at least have responsible for giving him more work after all."

[Elaranu]

"I suppose I would not have even thought about that. I usually just assume such things would be part of the job. Cleaning spills and such. I promise not to also get your face wet then, so as not to cost you more credits. Would you like a slap?"

He smirked at that, and paid for his drinks.

"Just because it's his job to clean up messes doesn't mean he should have to clean up the one's people intentionally make. Either way, if I offended you a slap would be the prefernce." He rose to his feet. "You'll have to owe it to me though, I have places to be and need to catch a shower now. See ya later, Miss." With that he dipped his head and made for the door.

As the blue woman approaches, Jiam waves to her to join them. "I didn't catch your name but you're welcome. Floats and I are talking about childhood." As she speaks she smiles, and her head tendrils float very gently in the air around her head.

She took a seat, "Your childhoods? Whatever for?"

Taking a sip of the citrusy drink she still had, Ela leaned back into the chair.

"Boarding school, huh." Jiam looks a little pensive. "Is that common for Nautolans? I'm not sure I entirely understand how that works."

"It ain't uncommon, some folks figure it's good for the little ones to get some experience dry land way. It's simple enough, the kids go off to study somewhere else and live there for a while. It was a little scary at the start, but you soon warm to it."

She beams at Elarnu as she takes a seat, maybe her better didn't have boarding schools either?

Jiam tracked Floats' description of boarding schools, although the concept still made no sense to her.

Ela's comment, though, completely befuddled her. Jiam's face probably looked like she'd just tasted something sour, and several of her head tendrils went still and curled slightly at the ends. "Because... childhoods are very important," the Mikkian said slowly, as though the blue woman had asked why she would breath air or walk on her feet instead of her hands. "Young people learn things... and it affects how they life their lives." Jiam continued speaking slowly, wondering if perhaps this was a joke that had gone over her head tendrils.

[Elaranu]

"I see. And you were... comparing notes, as it were. Interesting. Perhaps just unusual to me to bring up so quickly after meeting, unless there was some prompt. I am not against the idea."

She she shrugs slightly before looking at Fathynyu, "When did you go off to school on your own then? A young age, or more recently? I will admit, that piques my interest."

"Uh way back. I was 6 I think, knee high to a waterhopper."

Jiam nods with understanding as Ela speaks. "It can be easy to share stories when you know you have something in common. I knew by Floats' accent she's a country girl like me," Jiam said, her voice drawling a little over "country girl." She shrugged. "It felt right to talk about being a kid in the country."

"Aww screwy, my accent that strong? No wonder folks get right confused when I'm explaining my boat passion."
And she felt she'd done such a good job hiding it.

"Well if we're both good salt of the Crait, where were you raised Miss Elaranu? Y'all folk got country where you come from?"

Jiam just smiled as Floats speaks. It reminded her of what Uncle Prozlo had once said, about writing news stories for rural communities... Jiam sniffs and crinkles her nose, and two of her head tendrils quiver as she tries to fight off the memory. No, I'm not doing this right now.
