[Astin Denive]

"Subtle hard." Astin offered with a shrug. "I mean sometimes all you really want to say to a lady is. 'Damn you've got a nice ass, want to come back to my place and get out of those pants?' Usually you got to ask to buy her a drink though, and then casually flirt for a couple weeks running."

He took a drink from his new beer. "So I kinda understand the problems they're having."

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"What?" Mia asked, pretty dumbfounded. She eventually laughed, reminded of some old times. "Yeah,being that straightforward might have saved me some time before."

[Astin Denive]

"Glad you understand." At least he thought she did. "Subtle can be time consuming and difficult after all, and after all that it can still be a waste of time."

"Sometimes it might seem best to just slap some one in the face with it." There was a small pause as he took a drink. "Truth that is."

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"Right, right," Mia said. She traced the rim of her glass in thought. "Couldn't that come off as insincere though? I know a lot of girls who like to be, uh, romanced would be the right word."

[Astin Denive]

"I suppose it depends upon the circumstances." Astin replied after a thoughtful pause. "If all you're after is a roll in the hay once or twice. Isn't it more insincere to go about romancing a woman? Making them think it might be more then it is?"

"You do make a good point. People do want different things and have different expectations. Just makes all that stuff about communication and subtlety all the more difficult."

He smirked. "What about you though, what do you prefer. Honesty or romance? Or is it more of a circumstances thing... That is if you don't mind me asking."

"Oh I see now," Mia said. She rubbed her chin in thought. "Guess I kinda wanted both? Get straight to the hay but then have a nice time doing, uh, activities together?"

[Astin Denive]

"So like a one night stand that turned into a relationship?" Astin asked taking a sip of his beer. Now it seemed he was curious.

"Of more like friends with benefits?" He waa figuring on the first, but hey you never know.

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"Uh, the first one. Friends with benefits is more of a, well, not romantic thing, right?" Mia crossed her arms, now in more thought. This was more confusing that she remembered.

[Astin Denive]

Disappointing but it was the expected answer. "Yeah, friends with benefits is more you hang out and have beers, but when you're horny you help each other out. Not much romance to it really."

"For a second I was wondering if you and Dove might be like that, since she isn't to picky and you aren't blushing your face off talking to a guy about this stuff." He eyed Mia for a moment. "Course I suppose that doesn't really mean anything."

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"W-what? Me and Dove?" Mia asked, keeping her voice down but otherwise stammering, "No, no, no, no, no. That would be super inappropriate. Me and her, we would never, we could never, that'd just be so, so, so weird and... and..."

[Astin Denive]

That was a bit of a tell, but he wasn't going to try and corner the girl. "Yeah, I suppose you are right." He offered with a nod.

"The two of you are what, more like sisters?" He had made that assumption the previous day at least.

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"Yeah, just like sisters," Mia said, still blushing. She tapped her foot on her seat and then sighed. "We've worked together for quite a bit."

[Astin Denive]

"Yeah?" He raised a eyebrow. "Couple years then?" He would be a bit surprised if that was the case. Mia had seemed pretty young after all.

"Can't say I've stayed with anyone that long since I left home."

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"Give or take." Mia smirked at Astin. "Give it a try. It might do you some good."

[Astin Denive]

"Could end up being for the worse too. Ya never can tell with these things." He returned her smirk with one of his own.

"I'll take it under advisement though."

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"Ah, you've been on your own for too long. No wonder all ya want to do is a quick roll in the hay with a nice lady!"

[Astin Denive]

"A fella hardly has a need for anything else." He replied with a playful wink. "Though I can't imagine being around people is going to change that much either."

"I dont mind friends, but I've not got a lot of interest in settling down."

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"Too fast for that sorta stuff huh, just like your speeder bikes?"

[Astin Denive]

"Could be." Astin offered with a shrug.

"Maybe I just don't want to start something when I don't know when I'll have to leave. It's not like my career choice is all that stable after all."

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"What about after, though? Or what if this person went around on these journeys with you for your 'career choice?'"

[Astin Denive]

"Well, I suppose I'll think about that if it comes up." He offered with a shrug. "Though I don't know all that many women willing to uproot themselves and go rambling around the galaxy."

"Well you already know Dove and I. There have to be more gals out there who are already living this sorta life."

[Astin Denive]

A thoughtful expression made it's way onto his features"I suppose you're right about that." Though I would add that severely limits my options. "

He grinned. "Just to Dove or you at the moment, and your friend doesn't seem all that interested in monogamy."

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"Not an option for you anyways," Mia blurted out, raising her empty glass to her lips. She then looked around and set it down. "Maybe you'll figure something out, maybe you won't."

[Astin Denive]

"I figured that was the case, Legs." He offered with a laugh, he wasn't too worried about it either it seemed.

"You wanting another drink, or you done for now?"
