[Day 2 - LE] The Money Shot

[Djanik]

Djanik was about ready to try and dance when he saw Dak head out to chat up Ela.

With a faint sigh, and a shrug, which he regretted when it sent pain shooting up and down his body, he headed to the bar, setting down his empty cup and waiting for Vuxia to be free.

[Jurdak Surt]

The song had just wrapped up, and Elaranu brushed some hair out of her face as she looked at the approaching man. She gave a slight bow of her head, "Do you keep good track of who you have seen at this establishment then?"

Dak grinned a little and ran a hand through his hair "No nothing like that but you just kind of stand out you know? We dont get too many chiss around these parts." He paused as if that would be all the explanation and then added "Plus I mean you're gorgeous."

[Dapper Dog]

Vuxia had just finished wit a customer and said, "Djanik, need a little pick me up?"

[Elaranu]

Dak grinned a little and ran a hand through his hair "No nothing like that but you just kind of stand out you know? We dont get too many chiss around these parts." He paused as if that would be all the explanation and then added "Plus I mean you're gorgeous."

"You know my kind. That is unusual for around here, from what I have experienced. And you have good taste. I suppose I owe you those things."

She motioned to the table where her drink was waiting for her before starting to walk that way, quickly finding her seat again.

[Dapper Dog]

The band of jawas finished that eerie set and some took acoustic instruments and then one started looping digital music while the rest of the ensemble played on this odd acoustic instruments. It was a bit chaotic at first but then things meshed together...

[Jurdak Surt]

"You know my kind. That is unusual for around here, from what I have experienced. And you have good taste. I suppose I owe you those things."

She motioned to the table where her drink was waiting for her before starting to walk that way, quickly finding her seat again.

He followed her to the table "Well it comes with the territory in my line of work, Well former line of work I suppose. Been a lot of places in the galaxy, met and learned about a lot of different species. I haven't seen a Chiss in oh well probably 5 or 6 years though. You're a lovely example of your species." He said with a smile.

[Elaranu]

"Not many leave Ascendency space, no. For good reason. I left it, also for good reason. It is rare, but it happens, in other words. ...what is your line of work, where such things come with it then?"

She took a sip of the drink, large ice ball only partially melted in it, thankfully.

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak sat in the chair next to hers leaving on the table "I used to work as an intelligence operative during the clone wars for the Republic. So ya know had to travel all across the galaxy and know about all the potiential allies or enemies that could pop up. The Chiss were certainly on that list. We were very concerned what might happen if the ascendancy joined the war."

[Elaranu]

"An intergalactic spy of sorts for the Republic? That seems an odd thing to bring up casually these days. Or is the new government not interested in bringing you in?"

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak shrugged "The empire is the Republic, as far as they are concerned I'm a disgruntled ex employee." Mostly, there was that pesky bounty they put out for him "Besides not many Imperials come to the Nerf honestly most of them go for fancier places in the industrial region or up on their fancy command station up in orbit. Why do you think criminals use this place for a meeting spot?" He said motioning with his head toward the area with Vandil and others planning the heist.

[Venator Praedae]

"Maybe we should find oud wa da pardy schedule is. So we can make sure all the guesds are busy somewhere else." Venator adds.

[Elaranu]

"Criminals? So open about that too. You are a curious man. I am not used to such a laissez-faire attitude about many such things. I shall have to be more careful, no?"

She gave a glance over to Djanik; Was that one a criminal too then?

[Daunt]

Seeing how details on the hits would come later, Daunt also nodded off for a stroll to the counter. While he waited for Vuxia to pick up his order he turned toward the Jawas and the conversation between Dak and the Chiss.

[Jabber]

"Okay"

Jabber sweeps his eyes around the table.

"From what I've got, this is the outline of the plan...knowing that stuff all can go to bantha poodoo at any time:

Plan A for getting the prize is that we get a recording of the captain's voice, either from getting a tour of the vault, or we mock up something with our slicer, and that this gets us in. I pull a "freaked out Jawa" to be a distraction while the others slink into the vault and loot. Plan B is that we slice through security. Plan C is that the distraction gets the Captain and crew below deck and we make him give us the clearance at blaster point."

"For getting out, if all goes well, no one is the wiser and we walk off as guests. If not, we take a lifeboat and make for shore at a close spot. Finally, if all else fails, we swim? I think that's everything..."

[Dapper Dog]

Seeing how details on the hits would come later, Daunt also nodded off for a stroll to the counter. While he waited for Vuxia to pick up his order he turned toward the Jawas and the conversation between Dak and the Chiss.

"How can I wet your whistle, sir?" she added while she waited for the Pantoran.

[Daunt]

"It's late enough for something strong, your recommendation."

[Dapper Dog]

"I make a mean Coruscant Sunrise, I make them strong too," she said with a wink.

[Daunt]

"Let it rise over the tall spires of Coruscant then." Daunt chuckled. "Hope it can pierce the smog."

[Dapper Dog]

She prepared the drink carefully and by the end lit the top layer, allowing a small blue flame to rise before she handed it the Zabrak.

[Daunt]

"This is gorgeous, Vuxia." He accepted the glass and stared in the fire before he extinguished it by cutting off oxygen with his hand and drank into it. "Care for some gossip by the way? I got interested in the story about a singer and an officer. Do you know that one?" He put some credits on the counter that well exceeded the price of the drink.

[Dapper Dog]

Vuxia smiled and nodded, “You must be talking about Trion, she and Captain used to be a thing for more months than I think is healthy. I guess he was good to her, way I hear it he wanted to take her to the Core introduce her to some of his friends and make her a star but things fell apart.”

“Not sure over what exactly but he didn’t take it well… still hasn’t taken it well. One of them types that takes this as a personal slight to him and his reputation I guess, it’s been hard on her this is one of the few places she can still play.”

[Daunt]

"He has an adult daughter, maybe it was something between her and the father's girlfriend. It's a common story. Or, there may have been a third someone? Wonder if anything the Captain is onto right now is personal. I guess if Trion were meeting someone, it'd be around here then?"

[Dapper Dog]

"I am not sure he would allow Trion to meet anyone else," she added.

[Daunt]

"Nothing like an obsessed ex, eh?" Daunt sighed. "Poor girl. Guess if she has someone, she keeps it a secret."

[Dapper Dog]

Vuxia shrugged, she had seen all kinds.
