Kneeling cross-legged on the floor she sat in the middle of her apartment. Liua had seemed to be passed out asleep in the bed and she had wanted some moments to reflect. Rather than meditate on the state of the galaxy, which had worked out so well before, she focused instead on her lightsaber.

The crystal was removed and held, cupped in both hands. She focused her perception and intention into it. With luck she would not need to even draw the weapon, but if she did it should be as strong as possible. The light side poured into her and used her as a conduit, channeling itself into the Ilum crystal's matrix. She could sense how it would change and enhance the blade.

Carefully she reassembled the whole device. It looked exactly like a glow rod.
