Dak nodded "basically yeah. It's a sort of thing where I just am more guarded around them until they give me a reason not to be. Maybe unfair but" he shrugged "that's what happens sometimes. Just the way it is."

There was a nibble on his own line and he reeled in a fairly small fish but a fish none the less. He dumped it into a bucket full of water to keep it alive until he was done so it wouldnt spoil.

[Sinnya]

"Sounds like the way I feel about people in Imperial uniforms, lately." Little did Sinn know that in a few hours her opinion of people in that uniform was about to be revised from 'questionable' to 'might commit atrocities at any moment.'

She grinned as Dak made the first successful catch. "Hah. See, the fancy rod loses the race to the old-fashioned stick." She jiggled her more modern fishing rod. It was hardly 'fancy' as such things went, but no one could argue it wasn't higher-tech than a stick with some line tied to it.

Dak laughed "I suppose that's true! Though I dont think the technology in a rod makes it better for attracting fish but i bet you'll have an easier time reeling in a big one than I will. Heck itll probably snap this thing."

[Sinnya]

"Are there big ones here?"

Sinn felt another tug on her hook and tugged right back. The silvery piscine critter that thrashed out of the water on the end of her line was only about the same size as Dak's.

"Hey, this is a good spot. You got everything you need around here, don't you? If I had a place out here, I might not ever go back to the city..." well, except for the Enclave. And the spaceport. And the business exchange, maybe. Her expression probably betrayed something of those second thoughts.
