I understand things can be a bit chaotic around here and Rygor after yesterday's raid. Those poor folks losing their home and having to relocate..." she had a sympathetic look on her face as she shook her head.

"So do you live out in this village by yourself, or with your family?"

"Uhh... I live with my family but outside the village," she said coyly.

"I travel into Jaklu to sell stuff from our farm, pretty normal around these parts."

"Oh, all right."

He glanced around for a cart.

"You... don't carry all this the entire way, do you?"

"No," she said gesturing to a speeder under a tarp, "I drive into town, she's not much but she's reliable."

"I only come into town a few times a week to sell things or get stuff as needed."

"Ah, I just wanted to be sure."

Moving to help load the speeder, he added, "Did your folks move from Pantora, or has your family been here on Bankor longer than that?"

She replied with a shrug as she loaded the speeder, “I guess, never really knew my parents and I didn't even know I was pantoran until recently… just wasn't a concern where I grew up. My fa-… my family takes care of me now and they never made me feel any different.”

“Are you from Pantora?”

"I am. Probably why this heat is so much harder for me than for you."

He was sweating, though it wasn't easily noticed on his blue skin.

"So you don't live with your biological parents... I'm glad you have a family in spite of that. I've met too many who didn't find one..."

Shaking his head, he grabbed another box of fruit.

"Maybe I could meet this family some time? They sound like good people."

"Maybe," she said about meeting the family.

"Lots of kids without parents in the city, city rats, is what they called us. So what's it like, Pantora? Or I guess what was it like for you," she said hefting another box.

"Yeah, there are. I have a few that follow me around."

He shook his head. "One of them will love this jerky, I must say. She's probably a few years younger than you."

Setting down the box on the speeder, he answered her question, "It's a lot colder than here, for one. It's a moon, orbiting the world of Ordo Plutonia... a massive ice world."

He hadn't been there in... at least a decade now. "It's a very wet world. Marshes and tundra, mostly. The people are generally conservative in their beliefs - they believe in the old Republic ideals of distributed power, and are rather pacifistic. Though I hear things are getting more divisive there, these last few years."

With a faint sigh, he pushed away the memories of the fights he'd had when he decided to join the Republic Navy. It had not been a decision his family approved.

"I don't know how Pantora will be, in this new age. I hope it won't lose sight of the culture it has had for so long."

“I have never really even seen snow, just not what you get around here,” she said puting the last crate on the speeder.

“Well like I said if you want more, I am usually here a couple of times a week and we have fair prices. I might even give you a discount for being such a nice hero. It’s actually my own recipe,” she added warmly.

He offered his hand.

She smiled and took the offered hand and said, “I… uh, if you really want to see the farm, I could ask my family and see what they think. They just like to keep to themselves, you know.”

“I can give you my contact, if that is cool? If not, don’t worry about it… just uh you know forget I asked.”

Djanik chuckled and pulled out his data pad, flicking through and pulling up his comm number.

"There ya go. Drop me a line some time. I'd love to see what a farm looks like when it isn't flooded for harvest time."
