[Day 8, EA] Adventure? Excitement? Well maybe a Padawan craves these things

[Xanna Teevou]

Xanna frowned at the question. "I...I think yes, just that one voice. Back when I was the rich girl, on Pantora, I used to see what I thought were ghosts. One of them spoke to me. This is what I am reminded of."

She followed the story as it continued, starting to identify the players. "So. The Togruta is a Jedi who was a Sith at one time. This 'Zash' must be the Darth. I am sorry Liua, but I think she must be the blonde woman we saw. Soth, not Jedi. The dark-skinned human woman seems to be the Jedi leader, and Lunda Mae was turned, but these Jedi have just brought her back to the light?"

She gestured over at the armless figure and the dark haired Jedi standing over it. "That must have been some legendary warrior. I have never seen skill like this outside of perhaps Master Oraka, or Master Kenobi?"

Her gaze was drawn to the direction the Jedi leader had been looking. "And the Senator? I wonder where all of this is leading us Liua. The force has clearly led us here for a reason." Perhaps this was her chance to make up for the Trial of Insight. She led Liua onward, deeper into the wreckage.

[Dapper Dog]

Liua nodded as the duo come upon a ghostly figure crouching over a wispy shadow of a body. It whirled on them with menace and evil in the eyes... the phantom attacks Xanna and then fades leaving a cold chill in the air... left behind was a broken piece of a crimson clay mask on the sand strewn floor, old and dusty.

[Xanna Teevou]

Her lightsaber was in her hand but the ghostly attack was over before she could activate it. The chill would have been something she wished for on most days. A respite from the oppressive heat. This was something else though, it seeped into her bones.

"Curious... Is this the source, or simply another part of this riddle?"

Xanna cast her eyes around the room for any sign of recent disturbance before approaching the piece of crimson clay. Squatting down she reached out for it carefully.

[Dapper Dog]

The broken mask is cold to the touch and she hears dark whispers around her.

[Xanna Teevou]

"I do not know what this is Liua, but it seems to have a connection to the dark side. I would if we could purify it somehow?" She reached into her pack for a strip of cloth to wrap the item up. "Either way, we cannot leave something like this lying around for anyone to find. Perhaps there are more pieces or clues nearby?"

[Dapper Dog]

Liua nodded and said, “I can feel it… it’s evil like the High Inquisitor sleemo.”

“You think it was responsible for the visions or did those bring us here to it?”

[Xanna Teevou]

"It is strange, and you are right. I have never felt anything like this from an object before." She finished wrapping it and placed in her pack. "Did you see that last figure? I wonder if it was the after image of the person who left this here? Perhaps it belonged to this Darth Zash."

She thought about Liua's question. "I think maybe the visions brought us to it. We did not see a mask like this in them, perhaps they have more to tell us? Either way, we should look for any further fragments."

[Dapper Dog]

Liua agreed and searched around but the rest of the structure was bereft of anything of much value. Rusty decrepit walls and dark sand was all they found inside.

But the whispers continued and the feeling of being watched.

[Xanna Teevou]

This was creepy, and the sort of thing a Gangster would probably find and leave well alone "Well, at least we checked. Now I am thinking this mask was broken elsewhere. It seems the force meant us to find it though, rather than a Gangster's treasure hoard... But Liua, I can feel something or someone watching. Do you hear the whispers too?"

[Dapper Dog]

"I don't hear them... it's like a weird sound that I can barely make out," she admitted.

[Xanna Teevou]

For the second time that day Xanna wished she had paid more attention in Lore class. "At least it is not just my imagination then. They sound like whispers to me, but I do not know what they are saying." That was probably a good thing.

"Let us leave this place and see if the force gives us any further guidance. Perhsps there is more to be found nearby. But if our force vision guides do not return... I am thinking we should leave before we push our luck."

[Dapper Dog]

Liua nodded, "Yeah I got a bad feeling about this place."

[Xanna Teevou]

"Trust your feelings Liua." As the Knight and older, wiser 20-year old, Xanna led them back through the old wreck. As they approached the entrance she looked around for any signs of physical trouble before reaching out to the force again.

[Dapper Dog]

"My feelings say this thing is bad news," she replied.

[Xanna Teevou]

"So it is much like how I feel about your little smoking habit, yes?" She raised an eyebrow at her friend. "But seriously, we should get this to the Temple. There may be a way to contain it, or purify it, or destroy it safely. I do not know how to do any of those things here, but I do know we cannot leave it around for anyone to stumble upon."

[Dapper Dog]

"Thanks mom," she murmured.

"I say chuck it into a star and call it a day."

[Xanna Teevou]

She smiled at the response. "You know, that may not be the worst plan. Come on, let us get out of here Liua. We can find the King's treasure another day, yes?"
