He paused. "And for the record, I am cool with following your lead when you feel it makes sense to lead, Lyla."

Even the busy life of a burgeoning spy master had to make time for live music. Dak left the armor in his dorm and was sporting something more comfortable with some sturdy dark pants and a plain shirt with a leather jacket over it.

He sat and enjoyed the sounds of Trion and the band playing while sipping a kaff.

"So," Jenna said, coming over from the main counter with two bowls of an appetizer and set them down, one in front of Jurdak, and the other for herself. Pulling off her light brown jacket she'd hung it over the back of the chair, leaving her in a tank-top and slim pants combo, with a belt! Sliding into the seat opposite him she rested one of her arms on the table, her elbow at the edge.

"What's the big word around town, there was a meeting today. Anything you're willing to trickle down?"

Ria'la had ordered something colourful and strong. Perhaps with an umbrella in it.

Leaving the bar, Astin made his way over to Xanna with a pair of beers in his hands, offering one to the blue woman when he got near. "Does the Mistress of snacks wish for some refreshment?"

She gave him a smile and took the offered beer. "Why thank you Astin, that is very thoughtful. Yes I can allow myself a drink with friends." She raised it and said something in very high Pantoran. "To our good health."

"Well, why dont you tell me what you think would cause an emergency department head meeting?" He asked while tilting his head to one side, his tail lazily flicking side to side behind him."

"I uh, I guess? I was just talking to an old nemesis earlier today and I think that.....yeah, I'm in until the galaxy is a better place. I don't really think of myself as an insurgent...or someone who wants to die."
Floats quickly orders another two, as well as some skin grease

"After the last war I don't think there are many of us just raring to go for round 2. But you know, leaving the galaxy in the hands of black wearing bald humano-centric weirds...that don't sit right with me. I even gave 'em a chance, but they took my shop and then started massacring folks twice! And that was just on one little backwater planet!"

"What about you? I mean, you could probably get a good job somewhere. You got a good brain, the looks, personable. You could be professor Vaya somewhere nice, if you wanted."

Which, considering," she leans back into her chair and picks at her own appetizer a bit, "that I don't hear alarm klaxons going off, and didn't all day, and we're all still sitting here and relaxing and enjoying music. There's some kinda plan, and being I was there at the start of some of these plans being formed, and what we've got access to now, I've got something of an idea on what they entail."

"It is good to bring some joy to beings in these uncertain times Astin. I do hope that my friends in the Slums of Rygor are able to be keeping the kitchen running." She sipped at the beer.

"So, yes I do like it, even knowing it is a temporary arrangement. Every person I meet reminds me that we are all in this together." She nodded at the diverse crowd and smiled.

He shook his head. "Though i should likely put that from my mind and admit the fact that we can't be too picky about our allies."

"I would be lying if I said I have not experienced the same thoughts. But we have the allies and resources that we have." She shrugged lightly and tipped the beer back. "And the time for action approaches. I believe that the force is with us Astin, but I would also take a healthy dose of luck." She winked at him and watched the band for a moment.

He fell silent as well listening to the band, it was a good performance. "You think if we get em to play again sometime it could be on the beach?"

Renowned as a hotshot pilot Maxxy had been trying to listen but this last bit just made her blink and look at the man saying with a rather offended tone, “Are you serious? Who says that, the Force loves little tiny weenies as much as I do hahahaha, I’m a sexist bantha.”

She adjusted her glasses and closed her eyes and then tried to watch the music but she was distracted now by her poor mood. She added, “I… what… the kriff.”

Meanwhile the band continued with another song. Trion introduced it with a smile and said, "This one goes out to the Resistance, we believe in you and we are thankful."

Dak smiled Jenna had her issues but he had been right about her being smart and perceptive, she would make a fine spy "and there you have it, I'm afraid talking about much more than what you have already figured out would breach operational security but you've ascertained the core parts of the operation." Dak's way of speaking had reoriented back to intelligence and military chatter since taking up his new post.

"A big op is incoming and we'll need to be up to optimal operational efficiency in the next few day." He paused and gave Jenna a smile but one with an edge of apprehension to it "Enjoy tonight Jenna, things are about to get rocky."

Djanik slinked into the bar, listening to the music wearily. Taking a drink, he slouched in a booth in the corner, looking moody and tired.

Rubbing at his brow, he gazed into his drink, looking at his reflection in the glowing beverage.

Finished with her meal, and a little bored, Zerras got up and danced.

He signalled a waitress and looked to Jenna "Two days, I'm gonna enjoy myself tonight, prepare tomorrow and be ready to go when it hits the fan. Join me?" He asked, referring to the drink he was about to order.

At the request Jenna took a moment, it wasn't all that long ago really he'd offered to actually buy her a drink before and she turned him down. How much had changed since then. Taking a glance around the room she saw them, rebels, members of the resistance just like her, it was.. nobody here, at least, most people here wouldn't accept a bag of credits dropped on their counter if they were asked to shoot her for it. Made things different, different than the usual haunts she'd frequented so often of late, here maybe.. in a sense, she could feel safe. So..

"You buying or just expecting me to follow suit?" she said with a smirk, but was already pulling out a few credits enough for drinks and then some.

He waved her credits away "What kind of gentleman would I be to invite a woman to drinks and then make her pay for her own? Besides I believe I still owe you a drink I offered to buy you a few weeks ago." He replied with a smirk of his own remembering how distrustful and on edge she had been the last time he made a similar offer.

He smiled as he ordered a set of drinks for the two of them, it seemed thing were smoothing between them over the past weeks which made Dak happy "So you starting to trust me Karath?" He asked grinning and raising one eyebrow.

Putting her credits back into her pocket, neatly tucked away, she smiled, "This is where I'm supposed to say something cool, maybe get a bit of an edge going and tell you how I don't trust anyone and that's what keeps me alive?" she shook her head, "I might have, when I was a bit younger, made the little teen running around with the crooks seem like she might have the moxie to actually make it. Things change, grow up, figure things out.."

"Yes," she answered, finally. "I think.. despite the odds, you've earned yourself a measure of trust."

He smiled "Thank you Jenna, trust is a precious thing, I'm glad you've extended some of it to me."

Dak nodded as drinks were delivered thanking the waitress "yeah, it's a tough life, especially for a kid to be involved with. Do not reccomend especially for a girl like you, smart, lots of potiential no business running in those circles. Hopefully we can get you out though, cut any of those pesky strings Vandil has left tied to you."
