The call to action (EM, D3)
Djanik was in the local diner of his choice, enjoying a steaming cup of kaff, along with a breakfast of egged toast.
It was a simple pleasure, but a consistent one.
Pondering the twists and turns of life, he wondered if he'd made a horrid mistake, turning down the offer of a ship the other day.
He wondered if Elaranu found him even half as interesting as he found her.
He wondered if the rumors he'd found were true... and if so, would it make any difference? Was there anything he could do? Could he stand to sit by and do nothing?
Taking another long sip of his drink, he pondered, a man alone in a sea of thoughts, adrift.

Re: The call to action (EM, D3)
A slummer runs into the diner and glances over his shoulder before the door is blown, showering primitive glass and metal across the floor and nearby seats. In walked the Inquisitor who reached out a hand and pulled the slummer into his grasp, his other hand igniting the crimson lightsaber impaling the poor soul.
Two storm troopers followed and started asking for papers.
The Inquisitor added to the staff, “Apologies on the mess.” He then added to the room, “I am looking for a criminal, Oraka Hin of the traitorous Jedi Order any information that leads to his… arrest could earn you five thousand credits.”

When the explosion happened, Djanik was drinking his coffee.
Once it was done, he was coughing on his coffee.
Then the Imperial troops were moving through the diner, asking for papers, while he looked down at his toast, now decorated with small bits of glass.
A waste of a perfectly good breakfast.

Djanik dug through his pockets, finding the work card he had - it listed him as a mechanic.
Handing it over, he pushed the plate away, sweeping some of the glass off the tabletop and onto the floor.
"Did you get your man?"

“Would I be asking for any information on a criminal if I got my man,” the Inquisitor said approaching the Pantoran.

Djanik gestured to the still sizzling body.
"I couldn't hear... my ears were still ringing, your eminence."
Looking up at the inquisitor he wondered when the Republic has become... this.
"So who are you looking for, if not him?"

The Inquisitor pulled Djannik from his seat across the room into his grasp and then said in his cold metallic voice, “Can you hear me now?”

Djanik banged his knees on the table as the force pulled him along, not particularly fighting it.
As the man got a good grip on him, he wondered why the force saw fit to give power to people like this.
Fate was a bitch, he guessed.
"Perfectly, your grace."

Djanik glanced at it, and then said, with absolute honesty.
"Not in my life, your honor."
Taking a breath, with some difficulty, he added, "If he's one of those jedi traitors... I doubt a mechanic like me would survive if I did."

He dropped him and said, “Thank you for wasting my time.”
“Pray we do not cross paths again, mechanic.”
He departed, his retinue following.

"I'll tell you if I see him, your grace."
Djanik managed, before getting dropped unceremoniously on the floor.
He waited until all the storm troopers had filed out before getting slowly to his feet.
Well, that had ruined his breakfast.
Limping back to his table, he passed the plate and cup to the owner to get the glass shards out.
"If you want, I can help clean up. Pass me a broom."

The owner was thankful and got to work.
