[Day 4 -EN] Parental Guidance Suggested [Closed]

Being a Jedi can prepare one for many things except actually being a parent despite raising a padawan they are not children they are little Jedi who are learning to live by a code not teenagers trying to adapt to new changes within themselves and the world around them and trying to find their own identity.

And that was the place the old man found himself as he knocked on the door to Veras’ room.

Veras sent a text message to Liua, <Dad’s at the door, talk to you later.>

She had wanted advice on what to wear tomorrow but figured out quite quickly that Liua wasn’t exactly fashion conscious, but she meant well. She called to the door, “Hey, come in.”

The old man entered and said, “Veras, I wanted to say I am glad you have handled all these new changes so well. I know this has not been easy on any of us. This isn’t what I wanted you exposed to, the dangerous aspects, but I am proud of how you are handling it.”

He paused and looked to the ceiling and then added, “Still there are things in motion, the Force is drawing the Inquisitor closer and I am concerned he will use you to get to the Jedi. So I need you to promise me… no, we need you to be safe and stay near the cabin for the near future.”

“Okay?”

[Dapper Dog]

The young Pantoran threw her blanket over the outfit as she frowned and said, “I will be fine, I promise. Those Imps couldn’t catch a cold. Plus, my dad is a Jedi, right? You’re the heroes in the stories.”

[Oraka Hin]

“This is serious,” he said calmly trying to impress upon her the severity of the request.

“The Inquisitor is dangerous, you won’t be safe if you leave the cabin.”

[Dapper Dog]

Veras nodded and said, “Fine… I promise.”

[Oraka Hin]

The old man felt a burden off his shoulders and said, “Alright, good night, little light. I’ll make us breakfast tomorrow, your favorite.”

Pleased at the outcome he closed the door, parenting was hard but he felt he was getting better at it.

Veras waited a moment and then looked at her messages, there was just one from Liua:

<What did the old man want? Did he tuck you in?>

She rolled her eyes and then tapped back:

<Nothing, just being a dad, I’ll be free after lunch, want to meet up?>
