[Day 4 - LE] Dead to Me

[Jenna Karath]

"Acquisitions," she replied succinctly, casting a glance back toward Ru'ni if only to ascertain his mindset on the occurrence.

"Maybe talk to the Disciple, or keep working for Vandil," she offered.

[Jabber]

"A whole lot in a short glass." Jabber nods to himself, looking around as he turns a bit dour. "I am seeing more uniforms here than before. How are they at gambling...and holding their drinks?"

[Jenna Karath]

"Maybe talk to the Disciple, or keep working for Vandil," she offered.

"Vandil already has my number, so, this Disciple, know much more about them?"

[Ru'ni Wayne]

At the mention of Vandil, Ru'ni nearly choked on the last mouthful of his drink.

[Jenna Karath]

Jenna, calmly, placed her hand on the counter in front of Ru'ni as a calming motion yet not wanting to disrupt Vuxia from her answer.

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak raised an eyebrow at Ru'ni for his reaction at the mention of Vandil's name. Most of the people that go to the Nerf have worked for Vandil in some capacity or another.

Ru'ni thumped at his chest as the drink traveled down the wrong way. His eyes watered slightly but he waved off any concern.

He noticed Jenna's gesture, but not Dak's concern due to their positioning.

"Think I'll stick to water from here out tonight." He mumbled as some sort of excuse for his reaction.

[Dove Gray]

"Whiskey for me." Since her first one had been spoiled with water.

"Disciple is a funny name. What are they the Disciple of? Almost sounds like some cult-thing."

[Jurdak Surt]

"Or a force thing." Dak muttered thinking out loud "Only people in know that use words like that are jedi and stuff." Dak didnt know enough about sith to talk about their naming conventions or labels.

[Astin Denive]

"You're about as far from my type as a Nerf is from a Rancor."

She toasted him, cheerful and unapologetic. "Here's to that." A pause, and then, "You wanna take a crack and that hydro-guitar while I adjust the levels?"

Picking up his still untouched glass he offered it to Vaya. "As fast as your drinking that seems like you might need this one too." He glanced at the guitar. "Why don't we switch those roles up, you know how to play right? Being quite the music aficionado."

"Doubt it's something as likely to get us all arrested as that," she shot Dak a glance, "but I really do hope not. Could use a little less abnormal crazy these days, I'd really like to get back to regular crazy. Nice and easy, crazy."

[Daunt]

Zabrak waited for Wuxia to say something more about the Disciple. Internally, he wondered it it rang any bells.

"Doubt it's something as likely to get us all arrested as that," she shot Dak a glance, "but I really do hope not. Could use a little less abnormal crazy these days, I'd really like to get back to regular crazy. Nice and easy, crazy."

Dak chuckled "Jenna I think regular crazy left the station a few weeks back. I doubt we see regular crazy for a long while." He said turning to face the bar and leaning on it sipping his whiskey.

[Vaya Mer'darrow]

"Oh! It's the pretty one! And Vaya too...who is also pretty!"

Vaya's comprehension of Jabber's native tongue wasn't strong enough to actually understand what he said from the stage to the bar, but she raised a hand in friendly greeting to him.

Picking up his still untouched glass he offered it to Vaya. "As fast as your drinking that seems like you might need this one too." He glanced at the guitar. "Why don't we switch those roles up, you know how to play right? Being quite the music aficionado."

Vaya smirked and accepted the glass. "Generous. But just because I like the taste doesn't mean I know how to operate a still." She took a sip, thoughtful. "Although I think the principles are basic enough I could figure it out and not make anyone go blind." She put down the glass and put the instrument strap over her shoulder anyway. She apparently knew the literal mechanics of 'how to play' in the sense that she could produce sounds of varying kinds by moving her hands over the instrument, but she never demonstrated anything more creative.

"Vandil already has my number, so, this Disciple, know much more about them?"

"New on the scene I know they are recruiting heavily and several gangs in the slums are falling in line, hear they operate in the under city," she responded handing out drinks.

"Could be an opportunity, but if you have scruples, maybe not."

[Daunt]

Daunt said nothing. But he started suspecting something. And he didn't know how to feel about it, for many reasons. But it was something he had to look into.

"If I was interested, where might I be able to make contact?" she asked, shifting her hand back to her side of the counter and relaxing for the moment.

"Talk to the Wall or one of his people in the Trash Pit, I guess, it's a rowdy place," she responded.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

This place was too frenetic, too intense. Ru'ni felt the walls closing in, and felt the weight of his upcoming actions heavy upon his soul.

"I...need some air." He stammered as he got off his stool and headed outside.

"Thank you," she said, tossing the same few customary credits down onto the counter for the information. Turning, rapidly, she came up off her seat and followed Ru'ni out.

Once outside, she'd call out if he got too far away, "Hey, wait up," there was a slight pleading tone to her voice.

Ru'ni wasn't far away at all. In fact Jenna would find him leaning against the outer wall of the Salty Nerf a little hunched over taking in some deep breaths.

"Needed a break too Jenna?" Ru'ni asks, although he suspects Jenna's reason for exiting was something else indeed.

"Not.. quite," she said, settling her pace as soon as she saw he hadn't gone far. "Needed to.." she looked at him, paused, and then walked over and propped herself up against the wall beside him.

"So, what happened in there?" she asked, sincerely even.

"Oh, I wasn't being generous, I was just checking to see if you are as moral less as you said you were." Astin replied easily. "And let's just say I'd be careful before serving anyone any of your homemade booze if I were you."

He pondered shifting the levels so her playing turned into a unholy racket, but decided against it. No reason to piss off the others, and it'd get the job done faster to boot.

"Not.. quite," she said, settling her pace as soon as she saw he hadn't gone far. "Needed to.." she looked at him, paused, and then walked over and propped herself up against the wall beside him.

"So, what happened in there?" she asked, sincerely even.

As far as the Aznuri went, the Orosini were a relatively cautious people, but he felt Jenna was trustworthy enough from what little he had observed in their interactions.

"That talk about Vandil, the Twi'lek has...made a request of me. An unsavoury one at that."
