[Day 5 - EA] The Horus Heresy [Combat Event]

"Then remake it, after we get our kin to a safe place," he said gruffly. "We have another camp in that sea of trees."

She set her jaw and nodded firmly, tucking the hammer away. She would reforge it once they arrived, as requested. She stepped forward to speak to the remaining Mandalorians. "Gather what you can. Bring our fallen - we will build pyres and honor them when we arrive at the Sea of Trees. This is the Way."

With that, she stepped in and began to help. It helped focus at the same time as it helped them. She hoped that, despite the losses, they had some sense of pride in what they'd accomplished. They hadn't bend, and the Empire couldn't force them to. Maybe others would see the hope in that. They needed to start rebuilding their numbers...

"You can help." She nodded, silent for a moment, then swiping at something under her helmet. "You and Floats... I'm so glad to have friends like you."

He clapped her shoulder and smiled giving it a gentle squeeze "I told you I didnt want anything bad to happen to you. I meant that. I uh I care about you Sacha as weird as that is to say to someone like you." His hand shifted to over her heart "you're a good person here. That's what matters, I'm seeing that now."

"Indeed, we have work to do now that we are done hugging each other like Dantooine fish wives," Horus grunted.

"I want nothing left, empty the homes burn them... we move and we move quickly."

"First time General, but I can do recon and try to get better information. Just give the word," he said crisply.

"We'll see about that, don't want you getting hurt and me having to come to save the day, can't throw a grenade like you can. I'ma thinking those are like, special Inquisitor troopers. Probably all elite and evil, not conscripts at all."

Sacha rolled her eyes under her helmet. Yup, can't have emotion or sincerity. Much scarier than Imperials.

"Right." She nodded toward the houses. "Let's do this." With that, she went toward the houses and got to work.

Dak glared at Horus for a moment the man seemed to embody more of what he thought about a stereotypical Mando but he shook his head and followed Sacha to do what he could to help the relocation efforts.

“Watch them eyes boy, I may have a hole in me but I am still breathing. Plenty of time for cheering later, I got kin to save and a people to protect. Send them to the clearing,” he grunted.

“We lost many foundlings today, many brothers and sisters, me and mine are thankful but we are still mourning,” he finished. Walking was difficult for him but he wasn’t going to stop just because he had a life threatening injury.

He hefted what was left of his hammer and went to gather what kin he could. A transport came into view as the Mandalorians started loading up what supplies they had. Horus went to give them a hand.
