[D4 ME] A Night Like Any Other

[Sacha Ordo]

She let out a dry chuckle. "You don't. Not only would they betray us as is their tendency, but they destroyed our oldest and best enemies without honor. I won't be party to that. We don't need further staining of our name."

"If we can get support when the time comes to fight, it would be good. I know the Resistance owes us nothing, and you in particular owe us ill if anything, but... It's the only thing I can think of. I talked to Juri about this, as well."

[Jurdak Surt]

"Anyone who fights against the empire is worth helping in my book. It's not gonna wipe the slate clean, doesnt mean I'm suddenly cool with everything but if they are willing to stand against the empire then I'll stand with them."

[Sacha Ordo]

"Of course not... I wouldn't expect it to. But I'm glad you see things that way," she replied with a nod, taking a sip. "I'm glad we got to know each other. Not just because of this."

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak nodded with a smile "Yeah me too Sacha, never thought I'd hang out with one if you but I guess that's why they say 'never say never' right?" He chuckled a bit and sipped his drink "you're good people."

[Sacha Ordo]

She held up her drink toward him. "You, too, Dak."

She settled back, taking another drink. "... What a day."

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak chuckled as he relaxed back into his chair "yeah....what a day indeed. Things are going to get real interesting around town really fast. Big things happening in the underworld."

[Sacha Ordo]

"Oh? What's happening in the underworld?" She asked curiously. "My bailiwick doesn't actually have me in contact with it much, unless like some of my brethren."

[Jurdak Surt]

"Dangerous people in town, you heard of Crimson Dawn?" He asked studying her helmet carefully. "Well one of their agents is here in town, saw her while I was tracking a bounty. This is no ordinary agent shes a crime boss that reports to one of the highest ranking members in the organisation. A big play is coming, I can feel it."

[Sacha Ordo]

"Damn... That's going to be trouble. Like we need more." She shook her head.

[Jurdak Surt]

"Just a bit but if it's done smoothly it shouldnt disrupt the area much. At least those that arent part of that world." He paused and glanced at Sacha for a moment "just uh...just stay alert. I wouldnt want anything to happen to you." He said before taking a drink and studying some spot on the wall very closely.

[Sacha Ordo]

She couldn't help the smile that crossed her face under the mask, that was obvious in her voice. An appreciative tone. "I'll stay safe. Thanks for the head up."

[Jurdak Surt]

He nodded and cleared his throat "good and if you need anything, well you have my number."

Dak took a deep breath "so besides galactic fascists threatening your people how have you been?"

[Sacha Ordo]

"Actually not bad... I've almost completely saved up for my armor components, aside from the beskar," she replied, sounding a little more cheerful about it.

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak smiled his posture more relaxed as they fell into a normal conversation "That's great! Though I imagine the beskar is the hardest part for you to find."

He snapped his fingers and sat up a little straighter "Oh i forgot i actually have some work for you when you have time" he stood and moved to a small door that opened into apparently a closet inside was a full suit of what appeared to be stormtrooper armor. "I want to make this not look like stormtrooper armor but dont feel comfortable doing the work myself and I mean actually change it while keeping its core functionality the same not just like a paint job." He looked to her "think it's something you could handle?"

[Sacha Ordo]

"Naturally," she replied with a chuckle, then got up to examine the armor, looking at it critically. "Pretty basic construction. Shouldn't be too hard. Did you have some ideas about what you want the final result to look like?"

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak thought for a moment "well obviously the most iconic things are the color and the helmet shape something more angular would be cool maybe more...feline" he said with a grin "no that would just be a dead give away but yeah changing the helmet shape to something more streamlined...more sexy I think, less curves, a flat plain seems good. And I want it to be a stealth armor so a matte grey would be good, I'll supply the parts and creds and all that obviously. And I'd like to tailor it to my shape better as much as possible without compromising its protection."

He smiled at her "sorry I get very particular about my equipment. I should have enough cash to cover the initial stuff but I honestly have a ton of work I need done on my weapons and armor, easily enough to keep you busy for awhile. Hope you dont mind working o- with me." He said with a little grin.

[Sacha Ordo]

She fished around her pockets and pulled a black marker out of one, starting to make little notes and dotted lines on the armor itself as he described what he wanted, added before he could comment, "Don't worry, this'll wipe right off if you need to."

"As long as you don't mind my hands all over to measure you, I don't mind tailoring it," she replied, tone light and joking. "Nah, it sounds fun. Besides, work is relaxing. I don't like being bored."

Dak raised an eyebrow "Now ms. Ordo is that flirting I hear from you? You just get more exciting every time I talk to you." He bared his sharp teeth in a sly grin "maybe I'll get you out of that armor yet." He teased.

"But yeah good to hear, I'm happy to keep you working as long as I have the credits to fund it." He smiled watching her mark up the laminate.

[Sacha Ordo]

"I know, it's almost like there's a person under all the armor," she replied with a laugh. "I'm happy to work with you as long as you have the work and materials. Some of the reshaping I should be able to do with scrap from some of the helmet cutaways, but we'll see how it goes. We'll at least need some extra plasteel, I expect."

[Jurdak Surt]

He nodded, following along with what she was saying "Well whatever you need I'll provide it for you. I'm excited to see what you will come up with."

[Sacha Ordo]

She stepped back and glanced over her work, nodding to herself as though she could practically see the finished product. "I think you'll really like it. I hope you'll really like it, anyway."

[Jurdak Surt]

Jurdak smiled "If you're half as good as I get the feeling you think you are I'm sure I'll love it." He said clapping her on the shoulder giving her a toothy smile.

[Sacha Ordo]

She laughed. "I'm pretty well skilled for an apprentice, how's that?"

[Jurdak Surt]

"Haha well I wouldnt have asked you to do it if I didnt trust you to get it done Sacha. You're welcome to come by and work on it here or I can bring it to you somewhere if youd rather do that."

[Sacha Ordo]

"I'll work on it here," she replied with a nod. "I can start as soon as you want."
