[Petrus Karath]

Petrus settled back into his chair. "Tell me about your old life again." He said, sighing pleasantly. "I mean, I know you have before, more than once. I just kinda like hearing it."

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"As you know, most of my town was stationed in farms," Mia said, "Prepared to reap profits from crops." She smiled faintly. "It made me pretty strong for sports. I'd often overwhelm them, them being the enemy team."

[Petrus Karath]

"Yeah, I remember." Petrus sank back a little further into his seat, relaxing. "But tell me more about it. Like, what was it really like? I don't know." Petrus shrugged. "I've been thinking a lot about the past, and my life today. I guess I just want to hear about someone else's."

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"Well, I guess day to day was checking the fields and then going to school. I was never quite good at school, so I looked forward to going home afterwards to farm." Mia smirked. "Our sports coaches wished we all had more time but honestly we had to work. Well, not all of us, but for the most part we couldn't train for sports constantly like on some other planets."

[Petrus Karath]

"Huh..." Petrus put his arms up, resting his hands behind his head. "Does growing up in the Order sound that strange to you? I know it does to Dove, she's always joking about it. But I don't know, it feels like there's as more than enough difference between how you grew up, and how I would have on Coruscant, if I hadn't been taken in by the Jedi."

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"I dunno. All I ever heard was study this, meditate this, whatever," Mia said, "Who knows? Do they play sports there?"

[Petrus Karath]

"No..." Petrus paused, "well, not really. I mean, from time to time we'd get in a game of grav-ball. One of the younger masters... actually, I think he never attained the rank of master. Anyway, he'd play with us from time to time. That was pretty cool."

Petrus shrugged. "But the Clone Wars started when I was about fourteen. That sorta dominated normal life. And then..." He spread his hands. There wasn't really any need to say what happened next.

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"Do you think he deserved to be a master?" Mia asked, curious about the whole process. Sometimes, it seemed a bit arbitrary, perhaps even unfair.

She then pursed her lips. "Say we get rid of the Empire before we get super old. Would you go back to the Jedi or would you try out the simple, farm life?"

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus shrugged. "Not my call. I'm just some guy. I never even became a knight myself." A gentle sigh.

"That... is a very good question." After a moment, Petrus shook his head. "I don't know. I just don't know. One of the masters once told me that the future is always in motion." Actually, he'd said 'always in motion is the future', but never mind. "I guess it depends on what the galaxy looks like. How many Jedi there are. That sort of thing."

He hesitated a moment, then went on. "But even if I go to a farm... I'd still be a Jedi."

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"So... It's like you'll always have a Warrior's Heart or something?" Mia then smirked. "Alright. Well, let's make sure you get that chance to make that choice soon."

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus lips quirked. "Something like that. But more, I've been realizing lately that the past is always with you, one way or another. You can't really escape it, so maybe it's better to face it."

He nodded, smiling. "Yeah. Me, and you. And everyone really. Let's do it." He raised his hand for a fist bump.

[Mianerra Tavvos]

Mia bumped hands and then exploded her fingers upward, full with sound effects. "We have our work cut out for us," she said on a more serious note.

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus followed her example, chuckling.

"Yeah, we do." He said, as serious as her. "Guess we'll just have to keep at it, huh?" He smiled at her.

"Oh I'm not worried about us. I'm worried about this growing rebellion. You've seen how they bicker among themselves?" Mia shrugged. "I'd love to form the council myself. Mom Mothra... sorry, Mon Mothra, no, Mon Mothma would get us all to work together so well."
