Bowze had recruited some new help... maybe. But the Neimodian, with the caution famous to his species, wanted to know more, and had asked Vaya to look into it.

She could have just gone to the Library, but the memory of earlier that day was too fresh. Instead, she paid good credits to rent a cube in an office space and began trying to find out what she could about Dredgen Huk. War record, what he'd done in the last four years, reports from Bankor... what sort of people had Bowze invited in?

OOC: Streetwise at daunting, for Trigger she is an outlaw she has murdered Imperial officials and helped rob Imperial convoys. Skilled riflewoman and shooter, armed and dangerous.

She feels something metallic against the small of her back and a woman hissed, "You're the third person today to come asking about Dredgen... you have fifteen seconds to explain why I should put a hole in the back of your guts."

OOC: Dredgen has rumored to be hiding out in the Industrial Wastes.

Vaya didn't move, and spoke very quickly. "The Neimodian sent me to check out our new friends. You can call him if you like. If we're going to be huddling together for warmth, we wanted to make sure you had all your shots." The last part was half-panic and maybe unwise, half-calculated that the woman behind her wasn't actually that interested in pulling the trigger on a streetcorner. And no stranger to rough humor.

If she hadn't yet developed a hole in her guts (technically, that's not how blasters work, there would be some of the epidermis disintegrated but most of the damage would be flash-cooking the internal organs) she continued cautiously "Uh... the third?"

"That two mouthed sleemo... Dredgen has killed folks for less," she whispered still holding the weapon there.

"You tell mister sleemo the next time he sends a schutta to check up on us he better file for a coffin."

[Vaya Mer'darrow]

"What, for making sure you're not a pack of..." murderous, trigger happy goons were going to be her next words, but then, she'd hate to be right. "You want to make friends, you've gotta open up a little."

"Also, going back, did you say I was the third? That's me plus my friend plus who?"

“This is a job, darlin’. We ain’t here to be your mates and have tea,” she said bitterly.

A beat and she shoved her forward and said, “Tell your boss that I am going to chalk this up to his stupidity, happens again and we might just take offense? As for the third… some sleemo bounty hunter looking for a quick score.”

"You greet them as warmly as you did me?" she said. "One less sleemo bounty hunter would be as good a reccomendation as any to bring home." Yes, you're so good at violence!

ooc: difficulty on Charm to make this more amiable?

Vaya was better at weaseling her way on to people's good side than outright flattery.

Replace "strain from getting roughed up" with "strain from being forced to prove I'm cool by taking shots" based on Trigger's character.

Vaya is pretty trashed but she has won over the outlaw with her willingness to drink and carouse... there was even a fist fight... she punched a dug... why, who knows but it happened.

Trigger likes this girl.
