Djanik might currently be being eaten alive from the inside out by some sort of zombie plague, but that wasn't going to stop him from doing his part. This would not be the end, not if he had anything to say about it.
Not for him, not for the rebellion.
Landing his ship at the edge of the king's camp, he exited it, locked it down, and then began across the encampment, datapad clutched in one gloved hand.
Pulling at his collar, trying to ensure it covered the black veins snaking up his neck, he headed toward the king's tent.
He had a list of ships to trade, and little time to do it.

The camp looks pretty empty but there are a few folks here.

Djanik attempts to flag one down.

"He has moved to the Resistance base, what do you need Stout Man?" a woman said.

Djanik looked surprised.
Then shrugged. "Well, the resistance had sent me to try and negotiate a trade of equipment - they had captured Imperial equipment, they hoped to get some ships that were less recognizable."
Well, this was starting to look like a waste of a trip.
"Sounds like maybe there is no need for that now."

"We were hit hard friend," she gestured to what remains and said, "These last few vehicles are in the process of getting ready to go, we could use a hand if you like?"

Djanik nodded, but inquired, "Hard hit here as well?"
A frown. "So little is left... they really caught us napping..."

"Unfortunate."
Djanik scowled.
"What's left, and what needs doing?"

"Just trying to get this damned engine to turn over," she responded gesturing to a junk heap that was a shuttle maybe?

"Well, it would take a miracle."
He whistled, looking amid the remaining 'ships.' They looked like they ran on hope more than actual engineering.
Yet, he didn't feel much reason not to try.
So he stripped off his uniform jacket, tied on a tool belt, and crawled into the antique freighter.
Shockingly, he actually saw some success.
Maintenance on ancient freighter, hard, plague setback: 1eP+2eA+3eD+1eS 3 successes, 2 threat
As he worked, bare arms, he knew he would draw strange looks, his left arm... almost the entire left side of his body now... a web of black criss-crossing veins, warped and alien.
Eventually, after a long struggle with ancient and broken equipment, he punched the ignition and the old bird coughed to life. After a few cycles to clear out the dust and grime, the engine had settled into a comfortable rhythm.
It would fly.
That was a satisfaction, no matter if his life ended tonight, he had kept up the fight.
(+1 hope)

They are impressed and bring him some fermented milk drink. "Drink up friend!"

Re: I've come to parlay (MA, D6
Djanik accepted with a wry grin, but poured it into a stout can he'd drunk water out of earlier - no way was he going to risk backwash in the cups these people drank from.
His disease was his, and his alone.
The pain didn't ease with the drink, but at least now it had a strange buzzing to accompany it.
That was... something. Gesturing to the shuttle, he added, conversationally, "Do you know if the king has any leads on where we could find fighters or transports that just need a little work? I want to hit these Imperial Sleemos where it hurts, next time they come out to party, but we're gonna need some firepower."

Djanik nodded thoughtfully.
"Well, that's good to know - I'll have to go look."
Glancing around the heaps of scrap, he added, "You mind if I take some parts to patch up my own ride? Imperial Schutta's shot it up a bit the other day."

Djanik grinned, and made his way to the scrap heap, trying to put a little bit of armor back on his ride, along with upgrading the weapons with the power cyclers that would give them a more respectable wait of fire.
