"Do... do I even want to know what a Big 'Ole Opee Sea Killer is? And why it might mistake the base for prey?" Dove asked, suddenly really wary about any bikini-plans she might've had.

"Oh they're cute actually, they got tentacles, like myself and-"

"Can't get up on land though. And he'd mistake the base for prey because he likes to gnaw on Medusas, you know, the big jellyfish? We're trailing so may bits of wiring and what not out there, and being the same colour..."

Handing his comm to Floats he nodded. "It makes us look just like em, to a giant sea monster at least." He sighed. "I guess it's best we get you outside and try to remedy that."

She takes the commlink and drops it in a little bag she ties to her wrist.

"I'll head back out and we can coordinate now. You just point the way and I'll see what's what."

Dak had just woken up after a fitful sleep this morning when they arrived at base. He was in a foul mood from watching his cabin burn the night before that place had been a year of his life that was literally up in smoke now.

He decided to work off some of his anger by hauling parts around. He had been working out some lately but apparently not enough to actually be useful in this kind of manual labor.

Verse hadn't been awake for very long herself, but there was a lot to do around the place; she couldn't stay in bed the whole day! There were people to help direct, stare intensely at with steely-eyed discipline and take charge and inspire!

Which she was not very good at, to tell you the honest truth.

But a few people found it amusing and endearing, which helped lift spirits!

"It's really quite fascinating, we got several hearts and enhanced lungs that let us strip oxygen from water. Won't believe how long people able to swim indefinitely underwater has come in handy!"

"Alright... out you go then. Keep us updated about the situation. And hopefully none of us have to swim out to save you against some seamonster." She glanced between the two of them. "... Lightsabers don't work underwater, right?"

"I guess we got quite a bit of work on our hands then. If I can put something together in here though you can likely install it outside."

He glanced at Dove then back towards where floats was working. "I didn't think those could really bite through part of this station. Seems we might have to find some way to keep em away."

"Well, a Sando Aqua Monster will actually eat a Sea Killer. They grow to be about 200 metres long, so the sizing seems about right. Pretty rare to find one out here though, if you do spot a Sando, give me a holla. Never actually seen one in the wild before."
