[D5 EE] Aftermath and Recovery

[Sacha Ordo]

"I always thought the satisfaction was the best part."

She nodded. "I think we can find a way to make room for the way our people want to live, rather than splintering over every disagreement. I still think Satine Kryze was wrong, but I also think Pre Viszla was wrong." She ran a hand down her helmet. "I know some teenager doesn't know everything, but there has to be a better way."

[Jurdak Surt]

That perked his ears "Teenager? Goodness you're a sight younger than I imagined I figured you were in your mid 20s. You mandalorians mature up faster than most people, how old are you?"

[Sacha Ordo]

She chuckled. "We tend to be... focused. I'm eighteen."

[Jurdak Surt]

"Well that's a trip, would have never guessed you were that young. Huh. Interesting." He took a drink "color me surprised Sacha."

"Gotta be a hard way to grow up through right? I mean I doubt you really get a chance to be kids do you? It sounds like it's all training and fighting from a young age."

[Sacha Ordo]

She nods. "I imagine I'd get that a lot if anyone normally found out. It was, I suppose, though I don't have a point of reference to judge. There's some similarities to the Jedi there, aside from the kids we take in being orphans and not usually Force sensitive. We're adopted and train from an early age."

[Jurdak Surt]

He nodded "yeah but I also think Jedi dont get much of a childhood but I dont know those are like weird monks. I guess it's not that different just seems that way."

[Sacha Ordo]

"I have a hypothesis that we've been at it so long that there's been some cultural cross-pollination," she replied.

"But yeah. It's easy to see it as a harsh upbringing, I suppose. But it's not as thought there's any lack of love during it."

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak raises an eyebrow "really? The mandalorians never struck me as an overly affectionate bunch. Not saying they lack caring but do they often express love often? I dont know the doting parent isn't something that jives with my image of a mandalorian."

[Sacha Ordo]

"Whether they do in the way most people think of it depends on the individuals involved. A doting parent by our estimation is one that does their best to care for their kid and prepare them for the rest of the world," she replied with a shrug. "But we're close-knit. If I was in trouble, everyone would try to help if I needed them. We feel each loss deeply. It's why my choices are weighing so heavily on me now."

[Jurdak Surt]

"Hmm I just suppose being raised a different way than what you were just seems strange sometimes. Have to remember other places just do things differently and that's ok."

[Sacha Ordo]

"How were you raised?" She asked curiously.

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak shrugged "I was raised on Cathar for a while until I was about 8. Me and my 5 brothers and sisters mom did a lot of the raising feeding and clothing us. Dad was a travelling merchant so wasnt around all the time but always brought us things back from planets he visited. Cathar are sort of a 'takes a village' kind of people, other hunters would teach us how to hunt and survive, daily tasks, history of our people."

He took a breath a touch of melancholy to his voice "but we also had time to just play and have fun messing around with eachother and other kids in the tree city. Mischief, pranks, maybe a few stolen things here and there. It was nice. Life changed a little when we moved to the core worlds different culture, different kids and not as much community but still had family."

[Sacha Ordo]

'Wow... Five siblings? That sounds busy." She mused. "We're also that way... It takes a village, I mean. When we're not moving around with our caretakers."

"Sounds nice."

[Jurdak Surt]

His smile was a little sad as he took a sip of his drink "It was."

Then the Cathar clear ed his throat "but anyway yeah." He took another drink and then he chuckled "ok while we're talking about each other's cultures I got a question about yours. So you never take that helmet off in front of other people right? So how do you, like, have sex?"

[Sacha Ordo]

"In front of outsiders," she clarified. "And the answer to sex with them is either helmet on or blindfolds are involved. Which some people are into."

[Jurdak Surt]

"Huh." Dak thought forbade moment his eyes lingering on Sacha, his tail moving slowly "interesting, so I wasnt too far off that day I mentioned you being able to keep the helmet on." He said with a slight chuckle.

[Sacha Ordo]

"I mean, I don't think anyone actually does the helmet thing, to be honest," she laughed. "I'd probably prefer to blindfold someone." Sadly the pause and the way her face slowly turned red was invisible.

[Jurdak Surt]

"Shame it's quite the mental image" he said with a wink and the relaxed back a bit thinking "blindfolds huh, can be kinda fun, unfortunately lose out on a lot of visual aspects obviously."

[Sacha Ordo]

"I mean, that is sort of the idea," she replied, laughing off the initial embarrassment.

[Jurdak Surt]

He chuckles "I understand the utility but I simply lament the loss of visual....stimulation." he says with a flirtatious grin.

[Sacha Ordo]

She chuckled. "On the other hand, you can't be disappointed in the looks of a partner you can't see."

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak paused and mulled it over taking a sip of his drink "True I suppose letting the mind fill in gaps is exciting but.." he trailed off and the foot that had playfully kicked her earlier returned to gently stroke her leg "I highly doubt I'd be disappointed." He said mischeviously his tail moving languid back and forth as he gave her another grin.

She chuckled. "I know, I know. Unfortunately, this is for Mando eyes only."

[Jurdak Surt]

He looked at her in a way that spoke of desire his voice was soft and had the slightest hint of a purr to it "Well you could always take the helmet off last couldnt you?" He asked suggestively as his tail continued its languid back and forth motions.

[Sacha Ordo]

She couldn't help but smirk a little under the helmet. "I've heard some people find what's under the helmet the least interesting compared to the rest of the armor," she noted.
