[Verse Aura]

"Well, then we just have to become Jedi Knights, right? Easy! Let me at those trials!"

She was fully back to her usual self now.

[Oraka Hin]

"In time, Verse, for now perhaps learn to match the sublime nature of the interesting lizard," he said calmly. Levity or wisdom, he would never say.

"To be interesting, without effort."

[Verse Aura]

"Aww," she said, with similar calm. "I thought I was already interesting."

As with Master Hin, it was always hard to tell whether she was being serious or joking. Or indeed, being wise.

[Qareme Torth]

"I am certain Master Hin will inform us of when we are ready, although with the current situation I am unsure of how the trials would be done" Qareme said with a nod "I believe I am prepared, but it is not my decision."

[Oraka Hin]

"Prepared to be a Jedi or prepared for the Trials?" he asked.

[Qareme Torth]

"Yes" Qareme replied with a nod. Seemingly answering both questions.

[Oraka Hin]

"The cave at the base of the waterfall," he gestured towards it. "Enter and seek your truth, Qareme."

[Qareme Torth]

Qareme had not expected it right this moment, but she had said her words and Oraka had not disagreed. The large Zabrak nodded, rising and saying "trust in the Force" quietly. Perhaps as much to herself as anyone else. Then she walked towards the waterfall, in the direction Oraka had pointed.

Calm breaths. Master Hin would not have pointed to this without a reason. I am prepared.

She reached the waterfall without looking back.

[Dapper Dog]

The cave is behind spilling waters, it is a yawning portal of darkness. The spilling water drowning out all other sound.

Qareme rarely felt fear. She had been raised that way by her master, but this darkness had a stranger, darker feel to it.

I am ready. I can do this.

She tried to push onwards...perhaps in stubborn arrogance.

She pushed on, believing in herself.

I leads downward deeper into the dark, it was chilly at first but it grows warmer until she is sweating from the heat as if she is in the desert, but now this was a dank cave with glowing lichen and vermin scuttling away from her.

This opens up into a chamber a natural cave ending with the box sitting in the center of the room.

[Qareme Torth]

Qareme hadn't known what to expect from this. IT was almost immediately spiritual in nature, which was obvious, however she pushed through the changing conditions without too much difficulty. When presented with a chamber, Qareme paused. She looked from one side to the other, but everything seemed normal. Except for the box that was clearly the main feature of this room.

She walked forward, towards the box. Stopping in front of it and looking for any inscription on it.

[Dapper Dog]

It was nondescript gray box and had a seem for for here the box opened and hinges on the back.

[Qareme Torth]

She considered what she should; meditate with the box, or open it. In the end, Qareme decided to open it.

[Dapper Dog]

There is a letter with her name on it and today's date, written in flowing Basic script.

[Qareme Torth]

Could it be...?

Qareme took out the letter, and opened it.

[Dapper Dog]

The script reads:

Qareme,

The time has come for you to fulfill your destiny. To serve your true master. I feared this day would come, but it was inevitable.

They will reveal themselves after you read this.

You cannot fight your destiny.

She hears the presence.

[Qareme Torth]

It takes a lot to make Qareme visibly confused. She was now visibly confused, and then hearing the breathing spun round, holding the letter almost like a precious artifact.

What?

[Lord Vader]

A dark clad figure stood there, and then a crimson lightsaber blade to life pointing to the floor.

It spoke in a deep voice, "This is your destiny."

In place of the note was now a matte black and sleek lightsaber hilt.

OOC: Fear check of 5, this is a Discipline or Cool check at a difficulty of 5 purple, flipping a Destiny, so 1 red and 4 purple.

[Verse Aura]

Well, that was *interesting* too. Maybe once Qareme came back out of the cave, Master Hin would send Verse in. If so, she felt as confident about her chances as Qareme had seemed. But two could not enter at the same time, and she'd already showed enough enthusiasm about the topic; showing anymore would just be pushing it, and that's not the sort of thing that a Jedi would do. So, if she had to wait an hour, a day, a week, or even a month to be given the chance. That'd be okay too.

In the moment then, perhaps because Qareme was not around to tease, Verse sat in quiet contemplation; unless Master Hin would struck up a conversation, of course.

[Oraka Hin]

"Auratera exists, I have been not there, but you are not crazy, Verse," he said.

[Qareme Torth]

For perhaps only the third time in her life, Qareme felt truly afraid. It was a different though from being a child taken from her parents, or the fear when her Master sent her away knowing she was alone. In front of her was the truest, most deadly fear in the galaxy. She felt something heavy in her hand and looked at it. The saber was so different to her own, where had it come from?

There was no time. He was walking. Talking to her in that terrifying voice.

"This is...I...no, it cannot be" she took some steps backwards, away from Vader, a slight tremor in her voice "I am of the Jedi. I...I cannot..."
