Halp, a Star Wars story [D6, MN]

An underwater facility constructed by Mandalorians an age ago, slowly being refurbished by the King. Now Resistance HQ.

Bowze, in a custom made improvised hazmat suit, walked in the clinic sweating like a mobile sauna.

''Hum...hello? I heard Miss Juri was here?''

Djanik glanced at Bowze and couldn't suppress a laugh.

"She's actually pulled it off."

He gestured to the now dormant black lines. "Stings a bit, but it should put an end to this mess."

"You're gonna make it." She whispered to Djanik, smiling at him. Patting his shoulder, she then saw the self quarantined Neimoidian. Retrieving another dose of the cure from her kit, she slowly moved to him.

"I am here. Please. Remove your covering. This will sting... quite a bit." She responded to Bowze, looking through the viewing window of the hazmat suit.

"Oof... thanks, lady." She gave the arm a few moves to test it now. "Glad to get that fixed."

She listened with interest to what Juri was saying, and it seemed to her the Jedi weren't the only ones who needed to rebuild and reinvent.

"In that case, you got a long road ahead. What do we owe for your assistance?"
"Whatever you feel is proper or what you can spare. I don't do this for profit. Seems I'll be bust tending to the wounded and anyone else in this little resistance of ours." She nodded as she watched Dove flex and test. Glad to see she was able to provide aid when needed.

"It will be worthwhile to walk my path. To learn the lessons of the past to emerge something more."
Dove felt it was only right to give something in return. Returning a favor for a favor so to speak.

So as she fished out a cigarette to calm her nerves, she put a credit chip on the table for the pretty nurse. [100 Credits to Juri]

"Yeah, I think more people could stand to learn more the mistakes of the past..." she murmured as she fumbled in her pockets for a light.

Verse was still just hanging out, recovering on a cot. Still a bit out of it, but seemingly getting better by the minute...

...perfect time to badger her with Jedi stuff, one might suppose.

"Hey," she said, sitting up a little straighter. "Yes, she's had to fix me up before. Wasn't as bad as this time, though. Actually, apart from that one time about... five years ago? Apart from that time I've never been this hurt before."

She looked at some of the burn marks. They *should* heal, given enough time, but for now they looked pretty nasty.

"Oh, you mean the war? Yes," her eyes went up as her brain accessed the memories. "A mission on Drongar. Nasty slugthrowers, no clean hospital, deadly spores everywhere. The Force was pretty kind to me that week, I guess. Probably shouldn't have tried catching those landshrimp for dinner though. Or maybe just shouldn't have tried it in the middle of enemy territory, I guess."

Dak heard talk of the war and floated over "Never did much agree with them sending children out to the battlefield. I mean you had to have been what 14 or 15 during the war. It's insane even if you have special powers."

Dak raised an eyebrow briefly at the response "Not necessarily saying that all the padawans were scarred from the experience but just dont seem right to me. But I dont really know all that much about the order." Except everything in the intelligence files about it. But not much first hand.

A little defensive
"I'm sure the order had its reasons for what would, on the face of it, appear a rather horrific warcrime."
Doubtless it was related to the incestuous force babies

Djanik followed Jurdak, expression bland.

"On that, at least, we are fully agreed, Jurdak."

He still hurt, he would undoubtedly hurt for days, but the relief he felt flowed through him, making him feel remarkably amiable.

Pausing, he didn't want to override the man's questions.

"How did they justify it? I mean the jedi were on the surface a peaceful order who used combat training as a meditative tool. Their previous conflicts all involved fighting the sith empire but the separatists were a political movement which while they had some sith influences they were not the sith. How did the jedi find themselves as generals in a political war." It was a question that could obviously go way over their head but they were the best options he had to ask at the moment.

"The Jedi have always been protectors of the Republic. Some ex-Jedi starts a massive Civil War? Well that means you gotta step in, then it turned out one of the old masters had foreseen it all and organised a clone army which Jedi seemed almost tailor made to be the leaders of. Folks just wanted to step up and end the fighting as soon as we could. Although when they tried negotiations it didn't go so well, they ended up real short."

Blinking at Bowze's interjection
"Uh, howdy Mr? You got some insight into this as well?"
