He finished his kaff and added to Xanna, “Just my two creds. Oh and you ever do any modeling?”

"My modeling session with Mahon was quite pleasant. Standing in the nude for 8 hours proved to be an enlightening task, and a bonding experience at that." Sloan wondered sometimes where that life size statue of him had ended up.

"I have heard it said that The Force is in everything. That it binds everything in the Universe together. That it has darkness and light, and that some beings, like the Jay's, could sense this."

"Well..." Petrus frowned thoughtfully, leaning his head to the side. "There's light and dark, but then there's balance and imbalance..."

"What more do you two know of The Force?" He addressed his new companions calmly, wondering how high the stakes were for each of them personally in finding the jedi.

"...and the Jay Birds?" He added with a slight chuckle.

[Xanna Teevou]

Having once again made sure no one was listening too closely Xanna clenched a fist and nodded. "As you say: Kriff the Imps." It sounded a bit weird with her unusual accent. "Ah yes, good suggestions Liua."

She was considering how best to answer the question about modeling... Well, they tried to make me stand for one of those awful wall-length family holoportraits when I was five ... when Sloan provided additional information relevant to the conversation.

Raising her arms, elbows propped up on the table, her chin rested on her hands. "Not exactly, Mahon. What was it that you had in mind? I cannot imagine having eight hours to spare for art."

"What more do you two know of The Force?" He addressed his new companions calmly, wondering how high the stakes were for each of them personally in finding the jedi.

"...and the Jay Birds?" He added with a slight chuckle.

Choosing her words carefully Xanna replied: "In Pantoran society it is, or was, considered a great honour to have a family member join the 'J-crew'. There is history of this in my line, so I have always been interested in these things." Also I was a terrible student, so there is much I have left to learn.

[Petrus Karath]

"Uh, you know." Petrus said airily, waving his empty cup. "You pick up things, here and there." One last imaginary drink, and he set the cup down with a sigh, freeing himself from the burden of pretending.

But that answer probably wouldn't suffice. "I, uh..." Petrus cleared his throat, "One of my favorite holoprograms had this stuff in it." He said, his blue eyes downcast. Well, that was an answer that they'd probably accept, even if it was embarrassing.

His eyes flickered back up to look at Xanna. "... line?" He asked, his tone gentle.

Liua listened and then said, “Cool I guess, but they are gone and if one is even alive what’s the big deal anyways? One wizard versus the whole stupid Empire isn’t going to do much. Probably just gonna get a lot of people hurt or killed for nothing.”

[Mahon Jiut]

Mahon shrugged and said, “One person can do a lot, kid, but point taken.”

He then looked at Xanna and said, “I don’t need eight hours… it just took that long to get the full majesty of the mighty Sloan. An hour maybe two tops, you don’t even have to be nude… I won’t dissuade you but you can be fully clothed-ish.”

“You would be the perfect model for a project that has been nagging at me. I can pay of course.”

Looking at Petrus she nodded. "My family history is... extensive." Pantoran noble houses were obsessed with such things.

Liua listened and then said, “Cool I guess, but they are gone and if one is even alive what’s the big deal anyways? One wizard versus the whole stupid Empire isn’t going to do much. Probably just gonna get a lot of people hurt or killed for nothing.”

Raising her head again she spread her hands. "Sometimes people die when you stand up for what is right Liua. If even one remains, that would be inspiring at least. But you may be right, and perhaps if one survives then it would be best to find a better place to hide."

A quizzical expression crossed her face. "Well this place is so damned hot, but I do not understand... What is this 'project' that has you looking at me in this way?"

Mahon said, "Come by my studio and I'll show you."

"Easier that way."

[Petrus Karath]

Looking at Petrus she nodded. "My family history is... extensive." Pantoran noble houses were obsessed with such things.

"Yeah? Huh..." For a moment, it looked like Petrus was going to ask more, but he shook his head, subsiding with some reluctance into his seat. Still, his blue eyes lingered a few more moments, curious.

He chewed his lower lip for a few moments. "I don't know. I think if I needed to hide to stay safe... but if I could help others if I stood up... I don't know." Petrus shrugged, his shoulders slumping as they fell. "I just don't know." He'd been struggling with the answer for... wow, years.

[Xanna Teevou]

Mahon said, "Come by my studio and I'll show you."

"Easier that way."

She thought about arguing but in the end gave a light shrug. "Very well. I suppose I am curious enough to pay you a visit... if the Empire has not arrested us all for standing in the vicinity of graffiti by then."

Petey was clearly struggling with a personal burden of some sort so she touched his hand again to distract him. "Well, maybe if we find someone from the J-crew, we can ask them about this?"

It worked. Petrus (or Petey) shook his head, and apparently his funk away, with it. He offered Xanna a gentle smile. "Yeah, maybe. And if nothing else, well, knowing that they're not all gone means something, right?" His hand half-turned in hers, his fingers giving hers a little squeeze in return.

He took a deep breath, his shoulders rising and falling, a casual smile on his lips again. "So, tomorrow huh? Maybe we should be heading our separate ways. Things to do, people to see and warn, that sort of thing?"

"Wee space wizards," she said with a spin of her finger in mock celebration.
