[Verse Aura]

Verse, when asked, answered to the best of her ability.

"Auratera. I'm not sure of the spelling, but that's the name I remember. It's... I know there were... two suns? Maybe more. It was never night there, from what I remember. And, it's not on any modern charts. But I think it was a very important place, once. Oh, but not because I was born there. I mean, I was born there, I think... but that's probably not why it was important. Although being born was of course pretty important to me."

[Vaya Mer'darrow]

"I'm an open book," said Vaya, while literally opening a book. Her antennapalps twitched as she suppressed a sneeze. Physical media. “Born on Balosar in… hey, did Tirali fix your chronometer? … anyway, undergraduate and graduate education at the University of Bar’leth….” she went through her CV, too busy to try and remember if the University claimed to date back as far as Surra’s time.

Vaya asked Verse a bunch of follow-up questions, some of which she could maybe answer (“What was the climate like? Did you have seasons?”), some of which were maybe tricky (“How do you spell it in aurebesh? High Galactic?”). Their search took a purposefully convoluted route rather than going straight for the star charts, because to Vaya that was part of the point, but she didn't give Verse more than the highlights unless she showed a great interest in library science.

Eventually, she went hmmm, and tapped her stylus on her datapad (she had checked with Surra, only a little sarcastically, about what degree of detail in note keeping was allowed).

“Good news or bad news first?” she asked Verse.

The good news: “Auratera is renowned as being deeply connected to the Force. That means that it’s important and people have had reason to keep track of it.”

The bad news: “The Temple doesn’t have records of where it is. It must not be near modern hyperlanes, and not near any ones that were current with the star charts the Temple has records of.”

Softening the blow of the bad news: “That narrows down our search area, and also gives us a follow-up.” Vaya spread her hands. “What sort of people try to avoid major hyperlanes when they’re getting around?”

[Verse Aura]

"Uhm... fleeing Jedi padawans?" She ventured a guess.

[Vaya Mer'darrow]

"Okay, but who's actually got enough practice to be good at it?"

[Jedi Master Surro]

"The Hutts," the Master said.

Sinnya paused with the palm of one hand pressed flat against one of the fake windows. A fake bird, beautifully detailed, fluttered in the space between her thumb and first finger.

"They locked themselves in a cage." The words were for Master Surro (#4) and anyone else who happened to be nearby, but mostly, it seemed, for herself. "Then they painted on the walls and pretended it was real. How horrible. What a sad way to live."

It was possible she wasn't only talking about the windows.

Having explored plenty more, Jenna finally looped back around with her own projection of the Master in tow. Wondering, when getting closer, just how close she had to get for the one to just disappear and which one it would be, probably hers, she figured, but it was an interesting premise.

To her, at least. Probably Vaya too.. maybe no one else would be entertained by this as much as either of them might be.

After the projection spoke to Sinnya, Jenna finally got close enough to say, "Hey, you're uh.. well.." she paused, having the distinct feeling she might have waled into the middle of something.

[Verse Aura]

"You had Hutts in your time too?" Verse asked holosurro, before turning to Vaya. "But they... why would they know about it though? There's nothing there they'd be interested in. At least, I don't think there is?"

[Jedi Master Surro]

"There are people there, the Hutts exploit people," the Jedi Master responded. "They might at least know of it, or have access to people who might know."

"I am also catching up on thousands of years of data. Done."

[Verse Aura]

"What do you mean, done? You can catch up that quick? That's pretty whizz!"

[Jedi Master Surro]

"Thank you, it's mostly just organizing and tagging information," she responded.

[Qareme Torth]

"It seems the technology used here is extremely advanced. Grand Master Zyn must have been extremely talented. It is curious no technology like this has continued to this level" Qareme commented curiously

[Vaya Mer'darrow]

"The Hutts," the Master said.

Vaya gave the hologram a Look frequently given by teachers when a student answers a question without raising their hand and being called on first.

"You had Hutts in your time too?" Verse asked holosurro, before turning to Vaya. "But they... why would they know about it though? There's nothing there they'd be interested in. At least, I don't think there is?"

"Hutts have been around almost as long as anyone," said Vaya, and glanced to the hallway, and by implication to the forbidden area with the stasis chambers. "The Gree are an exception."

"Smugglers end up going all sorts of places, also," she continued. "And if it's as liveable as you say, and off the major routes, it might have be cataloged as a possible depot or similar." She looked around, her eyes shining. "Now, what should we try to figure out next..."

Left to her own devices, she will happily burrow deeply into the archives, seeing what their breadth and depth are. She hasn't found the enlightenment that she wouldn't maybe even admit she hoped for, but she has found plenty to hold her attention.

"I didn't say it was a prison. You people decided to box yourselves up in here with your code and your pretend world, I guess. I wouldn't." Sinnya shrugged. She lacked the poetry to really explain the odd feeling the facility and its inhabitants gave her. Something about a temple to the living Force dug into a dead moon and papered over with lifeless holos of life, a secret order who tried to protect the Republic by burying themselves away from it and going outside its laws... her language faculties hit a wall there. She could only twitch her lekku in a complicated rhythm of uncertainty.

She turned away from the false window with a subconscious sense of relief. "Oh, hey Jenna." She seemed relieved to have another living person to talk to. "I'm what?"

"You seem, I'm not really sure how to put it I suppose. You alright, and everything? Coming here seems to have hit you in a few rough spots, here and there, and you don't quite seem totally," she shrugged, "guess I'm just concerned, is all."

[Sinnya]

"I am fine." Sinnya flicked a glance at the hovering Surro (#4, or possibly #2 if her iteration and Jenna's had consolidated). "Isn't this place... weird, though? Vaya talked about it like it was going to be some kind of spiritual place. Or full of traps and treasure, or something." She shrugged uneasily. "It's pretty. But, I don't know, it's more like a corp headquarters filled with management drones. Crossed with a library. And a public sandstorm shelter."

[Jenna Karath]

"Crossed with a military base, or..." she waved a hand in front of her face, "something like that. I was expecting some long dead tombs, stone pillars.. something with some spiritual nonsense I wouldn't understand and maybe a jeweled crown on a pedestal but this seems more like," she shrugged, "a place to turn people into weapons? It feels as clean as an Imperial installation but just painted brighter," she thought, did that make sense?

Maybe, anyway, "Not sure how much I like the sound of that, saying it out loud. Fly-by Jane over here won't even let me poke around in her systems for a weakness," she said, sending a casually pointed thumb over her shoulder."Which I respect!" she called back, as if to waylay the natural retort that would come to that statement.

[Jedi Master Surro]

The Jedi Master listened, it was unclear which one had remained.

[Sinnya]

"Right? Where's the... I don't know. Higher purpose? Ancient wisdom?" Sinnya groped for an explanation of what she'd been expecting. "It's good the Jedi will have someplace to practice, I guess. I just hope they don't pick up the wrong lessons."

[Jenna Karath]

"Ominous humming?" she tagged on at the end, smirked, and then nodded, "I trust some of them to know better than others, "Though I worry about traffic, moving forward it may help as a place to train more Jedi, or something like that, but the ones we have now? Can they really spend so much time here with everything happening on the planet, and if they can't, coming here... I'd worry the Imperial's would pick up on the ship traffic."

[Sinnya]

"There's other orbital traffic in the system, at least. But, yeah, we can't start treating it like a public transit stop." Sinnya frowned to herself. "Those two Masters, the real one and the holo, they've had nothing else to do for three thousand years besides think about security. Maybe that will be enough."

[Jenna Karath]

"Maybe, but, unless they can cloak incoming ships," she rubbed her temple for a second, sighing, "doesn't matter, I trust the Jedi know all too well what they stand to risk. No sense worrying over it too much. I'll just.. deal, I guess," she shrugged, turned it into a half chuckle.

[Sinnya]

"They're adult beings." Well, except maybe Verse. "They won't do anything stupid. If they don't want to bring back this Sixth Line thing, there might not be too much they need up here anyway. Books, I guess, but otherwise...?" She shrugged.

"Worst case there's probably electronics that could be ripped out, sold off for some nice excess cash, re-purposed, whatever," she side eyed the image, it was an honest thought but the projection surely wouldn't have liked it, if she said anything was another matter entirely.
