With the delightful music giving him all the excuse, Daunt invited Lyla onto the dance floor to appreciate the repertoire with physical expression.

Rather unceremonious, Jenna kept to tending the drink and relaxed at the bar for a time. Listening to, and enjoying, the music.

Vaya moderated her intense appreciation of the music to give Fathynyu a considering look. That was a deeper answer than she had expected from the, well, floaty young woman.

“Mostly in the past. Those first few years at the University it was practically a distribution requirement.” She smirked. “I’ve moved on to make my dumb decisions in smaller increments, most of them in the light of day, until,” she gestured at the bistro, and by implication the facility beyond it, “I’m on the run from the galactic government and hanging out with insurgents.” She offered a toast to Trion on the stage. “At least the music’s good.”

Zerras sat at a table and listened to the music. She was slowly picking at her dinner, simply enjoying the idea of taking her time and savoring it. She looked about, watching the others in the bistro and idly wondering who they were. What song would be sung about them?

Eventually Xanna emerged from the kitchen at the back of the bar and grill with trays full of assorted snacks. She was enjoying the music and it was good to see the mood lightened. They all needed some positivity before the days ahead.

Ria'la slipped in with the annoyed look of someone who had just realised how long he'd been working. A quick scan of folks told him Rayne wasn't here and they had both said 'no commitments' so let's just see what happens.

Or he could just get totally smashed.

The pair moving to dance was a oddity to Astin, but he couldn't blame them, and his eyes scanned they area one more time before he refinished his beer and rose to his feet.

Xanna and RIA'la both received polite nods as he made his way to the bar and ordered another drink. "Don't think I've seen anyone dance in a Cafeteria since I was in School." He mused as he waited.

"Sure," she said following him. "What's so urgent?" She added once they had privacy.

He held her shoulders, looking straight at her with grim expression, a change from an earlier tease. "I was ordered to kill you, Lyla. And I won't do it. You defied your father for me. I defy my master for you. We have to discuss what comes next."

She is still feeling the music and then did a double take once she realized what he said and said, “Wait why the kriff would someone want me dead?”

“Well don’t answer that… Daunt we fight, and we live. If someone wants you dead then they have to get through me. My blades and my life, you know this baby. We are death together, back to back… that’s how this goes down.”

"That's how it goes down, Lyla." He kissed her fiercely. "But we won't be waiting for someone to go after us. We act now. We take on the Crimson Dawn, both the Disciple and Vandil. We kill one as a bounty, and the second on its delivery. Then you and I take over and keep killing until their bosses come. First probably Drynden Voss. Then the real leader of the organisation, Maul, the Nightbrother who has made me, and the Nightbrother who's given the order." He grinned. "Or we die somewhere on the way to that. Which is fine by me as long as it's you by my side."

"And they say romance is dead," she said enjoying his bloodlust.

"Then let's write a story in blood that will make cynics shut up." He kissed her again. "We could use some backup so I'll ask a few of my friends. Can you prepare us for the hunt your usual assassin way?"

"Of course, which do you want to go for first?" she asked. "More importantly is either greedy enough to turn on the bosses?"

"You did seem like a big fancy school kinda gal. If it helps, I don't think it's you on the run personally. I was Bankor's most wanted for a few days and it was real bad, wouldn't want that for a nice lady such as yourself."

She shudders at the memory of her poor store

Even the busy life of a burgeoning spy master had to make time for live music. Dak left the armor in his dorm and was sporting something more comfortable with some sturdy dark pants and a plain shirt with a leather jacket over it.

He sat and enjoyed the sounds of Trion and the band playing while sipping a kaff.

"The Disciple. I've worked longer for Vandil, so it's more plausible I'd like to resolve it in her favour. Plus, we visited them together, so you showing up won't raise brows." He mused. "As the other thing goes, Vandil is the turncoat type. I wager the Disciple answers to Voss who knows how to enforce loyalty."

"I will follow your lead, but let's make sure we leverage every advantage we have," she responded.

"Maybe we kill the Disciple and convince Vandil to flip on Voss, she is already a turncoat once, right?"

Leaving the bar, Astin made his way over to Xanna with a pair of beers in his hands, offering one to the blue woman when he got near. "Does the Mistress of snacks wish for some refreshment?"

"You did seem like a big fancy school kinda gal. If it helps, I don't think it's you on the run personally. I was Bankor's most wanted for a few days and it was real bad, wouldn't want that for a nice lady such as yourself."

Vaya snorted before taking another drink, and then starts singing, quietly and not very tunefully. "Fight fiercely Bar'leth, fight fight fight! Impress them with our prowess, do... That was our gravball fight song." She shook her head. "Anyway, I think I heard a little about that. What did you do to get in so much trouble, anyway?"

"At least you got enthusiasm, that war cry was real intimidating."

Puffing out her cheeks then mumbling
