[D7 - LM] Who Am I?

After his confrontation this morning, Ru'ni hit up Astin on his new commlink, arranging a meeting for this afternoon. It had been a while since he'd seen anyone from the resistance and he missed the company and comradeship. One other thing he missed was his people. He hadn't been excommunicated entirely, but the path to an elder was looking unlikely. The path he had been set upon for most of his life.

So he came here, it wasn't the Calm, he wasn't allowed back there until he cleansed the darkness from his soul. But it was still a place of his people, a place that many of the exiles were evacuated to after the Razing. Sitting on a tree branch overlooking the primitive barter marketplace the Aznuri had he let his thoughts run, open and receptive to anything.

OOC: Is he reaching out through the Force or just calling them?

He's thinking of them as the light to the dark of his upcoming mission, so probably subconsciously reaching through the Force or at least opening himself up to it...

And that's entirely appropriate, maybe someone senses his fear and anger?

He feels her, well two life forces it was her and one that was still manifesting within the Force... potential.

"I feel the shadows around you," she whispered. "Ru'ni?"

[Ru'ni Wayne]

"It's that obvious is it? I mean I feel it, but is it apparent to all the sky touched as well or just our connection?" Ru'ni doesn't dare look at her at first until he senses something more than just her there with him.

His hands wring in his lap as he wonders how to explain, or if he even could lay that burden upon her.

"I know you, as well as I can know my heart, it is plain to me perhaps hidden to others," she said kindly.

"I carry your burden, your anger, and your vengeance."

[Ru'ni Wayne]

"I cannot ask that of you, especially not now that you carry something far more important I think." Ru'ni smiles up at her, the genuine elation forcing its way through the doubt in his soul.

"But I hope to lay down that burden, and anger soon. I don't like what it's doing to me, to us."

[Dapper Dog]

"Where one is slowed by a burden, two can carry with ease," she said simply.

"Our people deserve to know rest, I fear for your path but you do so with good intentions."

[Ru'ni Wayne]

"My path will soon be over, and all our people, including myself can rest." Ru'ni answered. "And then our path can begin. Officially. If you still want to, if I haven't changed too much for you. The end of this path may leave me a long hill to climb, to be the man worthy of you once more."

[Dapper Dog]

"Then I pray you have swift revenge and shed these shadows," she said warmly.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

"Me too," he mumbled softly.

"How are the others doing? Has Sister Hulia fully recovered yet?" Ru'ni asks, hoping she wouldn't need to be avenged as well.

[Dapper Dog]

"She is up and aiding the Resistance, I think she needs more rest but I have relented and focused on helping our people," she responded.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

"She is stronger than I am then," Ru'ni shakes his head slightly. "I can't work with them right now."

"You heard that they took her in? They adopted the woman who obliterated the Enclave? Like some sort of pet project?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Jedi... they are strong but foolish, one does not take a viper into their home," she responded.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

"I agree, so I must help to show them. Many of these warriors came to help us in our time of need, it is time for me to return the favour." Ru'ni squeezes Viati's hand gently in his own.

"I need you to get word out to the people. They will listen to you more than me, you have been their rock. Ask them to stay away from Rygor tomorrow, there will be an...incident and I can't know how it will turn out."

[Dapper Dog]

"What do you mean, have you foreseen the future?" she asked.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

"That was never my gift, my love. There is another of the Sith here, searching for his student. He is strong with the Force, and found me in Rygor this morning he told me he would find her tomorrow at the old Enclave."

Ru'ni knows he is omitting details, but hopes that Viati won't read between the lines of his words.

She frowned but said, "Dangerous but I will spread the word."

OOC: She trusts him, so no roll needed. 1 Conflict.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

"Nothing worthwhile is ever easy. Except for me." He grins and presses his lips to Viati's forehead.

"I want to ask you something else, more personal and more important. I want to ask about us."

[Dapper Dog]

She nodded for him to ask, quiet and eager.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

"Tomorrow night, I plan to return here. I will speak to the Elder Council and will ask permission to be your man, to bond with you in the eyes of our people as well as our hearts."

"But, if this conflict tomorrow goes poorly, then I'm not sure how they will respond. I want to ask one last time, what do you want from this, from us."

[Dapper Dog]

"You are my heart, the rain to my blooming flower, you should know my heart by now," she responded.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

"I do, or I think I do. There is just," Ru'ni sighs in frustration with himself.

"So much doubt in me lately. So much...I was not meant to be a warrior, my life was to be one of peace, of contemplation. Then this Empire came and...I have spilled too much blood, so much I wonder if my hands will ever be clean."

"I would not make you choose between me or your duties, your life here. I...don't know if I'll ever truly be welcomed back."

[Dapper Dog]

"Then your fate will be mine," she said to him.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

Ru'ni nodded and let out a sigh of relief. "You and I then, together forever. No matter what."

The peace and calm of Viati washed over Ru'ni, and he knew everything would be okay.
