[Day 7 - MM] Resistance Meeting [Closed]

The news of the extra ships was welcome and she nodded at Rayne. It really did change things.

The riding Vusa on a Star Destroyer plan really was crazy. She had to stop herself from laughing at the image. "If anyone can manage to ride Vusas onto a Star Destroyer it is that man. Whether it is sensible or not." She shrugged. "Perhaps we could lure the Dictator over the Ocean with the Mahon?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Guessing at best a third of that, as most will be stationed planet side," she responded. "We could draw more if we threaten key points around Rygor."

[Djanik]

"If the admiral is as smart as Miss Gray claims, I doubt she'd miss the chance to yaw her ship and dump any riders onto the ground... I'd consider it an absolute last resort."

Knowing a little more about the coming forces, he just nodded, "If we can communicate with the reinforcements, we could time it so that the Mahon draws out the fighter complement - if we offer a good, yet elusive, target, they may send fighters to catch us. At that point, reinforcements could come in."

A grimace. "Turn the tables real harshly on those eyeballs. That'd create a vulnerability - an opening where landing boarding teams might be feasible - they'd just have to get a few decks in, plant the bombs, and get out. We'd need to keep the battle short - we don't have the endurance to fight an ISD, even a crippled one, for a long brawl. If we did it and then visibly retreated from Bankor, we might draw the heat away, at least a little."

[Dapper Dog]

"This was never planned to be a brawl, we hit them hard and get out. The longer we stay engaged the more the fight will turn against us," Rayne replied.

"There are no great solutions here and Admiral Yulani is smart, we have to expect she is going to do something we have not considered. More importantly her people believe in her, they will fight hard. Our advantage is that we have nothing to lose, they have other options."

He looked around the table, "Don't get any illusions, we are going to lose people, lots of people. They all signed up for this, we just need to make those sacrifices count."

[Bowze Coppa]

''If we infiltrate the station and sabotage it's defenses we could strike at it with the Mahon from afar, thus needing the response of the Dictator and it's fighters. If the Dictator gives chase we can lure it into a trap and have our allied fleet strike at the rear where there is little to no defenses.''

He sat back looking over the station

''I do not think we can hold the station but we could sabotage it's main power supply and steal what vessels we can from it as we escape.''

[Ria'la Tu'roth]

"I know we're not all coming back from this kind of thing . . . but the Dictator and Bex . . . I also don't want to sound timid . . . but those things are big and if they come down, even partially on an inhabited area . . . well no matter how I spin it we're going to be branded the same if not worse than those we're trying to throw off."

He nodded to the Neimoidian.

"During the Clone Wars a lot of folks changed sides due to massive collateral damage the other did to their homes. Both sides."

[Dove Gray]

Dove nodded in agreement as Rayne confirmed the Admiral's intellect. She had managed to trick an Inquisitor for weeks, but not Yulani. The woman had set up quite the deadly trap for Dove and it was through pure luck that it didn't succeed as Yulani had hoped.

But there was something that had caught her attention and curiosity (which she could not adress earlier due to another realm's interference). "CIS? I wasn't aware that the Confederacy is getting the band back together...?"

[Bowze Coppa]

''Thus why The Dictator needs to be lured elsewhere'' he replied ''The station should remain in orbit even if we partially disable it.''

He then turned to Dove

''It is not, not the way it was anyways. Since we mostly come from it we took the acronym for ourselves.''

[Sinnya]

"Who's we?" Sinnya twitched a skeptical lek. "Aren't we the Bankor resistance?"

To Djanik, she added, "I don't know what the Bone King is thinking exactly, but some riding beasts fly, you know."

[Bowze Coppa]

''By we I mean me and those who joined me. We support the resistance but we are our own entity.''

There was a blip on his notepad

''Well now, that's good news. We may have a few places out system to build new bases and hide our fleets.'' he said after checking it

[Sinnya]

"And... we're all okay with this?" Sinnya flicked an uneasy glance at Yusandr.

[Bowze Coppa]

''Why would there be a problem?'' Bowze asked

[Sinnya]

"What's the problem with just being part of the same Resistance as the rest of us?" Sinnya glanced around at the others. "Are you here for Bankor or not?"

[Bowze Coppa]

He frowned, clearly not liking where this was going but keeping his cool.

''This war is bigger then Bankor. I will fight the Empire but fighting this fight may very well mean leaving the planet.'' he began ''I do not see why it is a problem that we are our own entity, you are still Aznuri and the Jedi are still jedi. Why would we be different?''

[Jurdak Surt]

Dak cut in "hey folks, this is a strategy meeting, we can discuss policy and affiliations and all that after this is over. Let's table it for now though ok?" He said looking between the two.

[Sinnya]

"Aznuri is what I was born. I chose to join up with the Bankor resistance." The tips of both lekku were twitching rather like a wary nexu's tail. "So did most of the people here, because we want the same things and we're going to work together to get them. If you're not part of that, if you've got another game running, then, yeah, I think we need to know what and why. That's pretty important to strategy, if you ask me," she added with a glance at Dak.

[Bowze Coppa]

Dak cut in "hey folks, this is a strategy meeting, we can discuss policy and affiliations and all that after this is over. Let's table it for now though ok?" He said looking between the two.

''I am quite glad to do so, we have enough to do as it is.'' Bowze said, nodding

''One another note...any action from us will require not only good communications and coordination but we need to negate this from our enemy. I may have a way to do this.''

[Dove Gray]

Dove sighed and leaned back in her chair. The twi'lek did have a good point, but right now she was willing to humor the kids who insisted on having their own treehouse-club. She partly wondered if it had a sign outside of it with something like No Girls Allowed.

"Sure, let's hear it."

[Dapper Dog]

She agreed with Dak and then focused on Bowze saying, "What's your plan?"

[Bowze Coppa]

''Like some of you know Vandil as access to imperial communications. She did this by introducing prepared dataspikes into several communication towers around Bankor. Doing the same thing ourselves would be very difficult at this point but if Vandil can grant us direct access to her data we could use it to worm our way deeper.''

[Dove Gray]

"Not a bad idea. But it would depend on what Vandil wants in return," Dove mused. "She's already working with the Resistance, but she might decide to ask for something more out of the deal."

[Dapper Dog]

"She won't do it for free," Yusandr said.

[Bowze Coppa]

''We can offer to take down her competition'' he said ''Or if we procceed with Operation Bad Blood we can share juicy data''

[Dove Gray]

"This plan would rely on Vandil not being wiped out by this Disciple then," she thought out loud.

"I've heard she's already put out a price on the Disciple's head, and the Disciple responded in kind by placing a higher reward on Vandil's head. I'm all for keeping our current underworld contact though, as Vandil at least seems to have an interest in not having the Empire interfere in her business."

"Anyone got anymore info on this Disciple?"

[Sinnya]

"Or we could not climb into bed with the Hutts and anybody who operates like them." Sinnya shook her head. "So this Vandil's sympathetic, for now. Fine, her choice. But if we start working for her we'll never get those chains off again."
