You Worry Too Much [D7 MA]

[Sinnya]

Sinnya spent as little of her free time inside Varo's Sword as possible, which meant that when she was down here, she was usually looking for somebody. In this case, it was Yusandr.

She'd run into Dove on the way, heading for the same destination. What Sinnya wanted to talk about wasn't for everybody's ears, but it seemed Dove might be on the same trail and maybe knew some things Sinn didn't, so she didn't mind joining up with the pale human(?) for now. If nothing else, they'd take up less of Yusandr's time this way.

[Dapper Dog]

She finds her in an observation tube looking at the ocean drinking a beer.

[Sinnya]

"Yusandr. Hey." Sinnya smiled, a little nervously. "You, uh... got a minute? Something I wanted to ask you about." She glanced over her shoulder at Dove.

[Dapper Dog]

She turned, "Hey Sinnya, what did you need?"

[Dove Gray]

Dove gave a wave (ghosted in by Sinnya earlier with permission), but gestured for Sinnya to go ahead. "You first, Tails, though I suspect we might have a similar intention here."

[Sinnya]

The aforementioned tails twitched slightly at the tips. "Yeah. There was other stuff that had to get done at the meeting this morning, but... what's going on with this 'CIS' business?" Sinnya frowned. "Do you know? The more that guy Gunray--I thought his name was Coppa, but anyway--the more he talked, the less he actually said about it. "

[Dapper Dog]

“He has a band of misfits, people that either would not work well with the Resistance or just get along better with his way of doing things. Like the King or the Aznuri we work with the allies we have,” she said honestly.

“Do I fully trust this CIS, not completely but they have been effective.”

“General Gunray is an opportunist, maybe that’s an old CIS quality from the Clone Wars, but for now we are on the same side. Good instincts though, Sinnya.”

[Sinnya]

Sinnya crossed her arms. Started to chew her lip. Made herself stop.

"Don't. Please." She shook her head. "Compare them to the Aznuri, I mean. Aznuri are who they are... that's not a choice. We haven't held anything back, information or resources we could spare or anything. And we're fighting for our lives, not... using Bankor people's fight for freedom as our chance to build up some kind of private power base."

[Dapper Dog]

“I didn’t mean it like that, I just meant,” she frowned trying to find the right words. “We have a lot of different groups with their own reasons for joining the fight and ultimately this is a volunteer effort. I am not naive, I know Gunray is using this for his own reasons, we’ll have to cross that bridge down the road.”

“It’s not ideal… I don’t want to deal with it, but it is the army I have to go to war with.”

[Sinnya]

"I know it's all hands on deck, but..." Sinnya shook her head, one lek flipping forward over her shoulder in her agitation. "It's like with Vandil, right? Help is good, but not if it costs us more than we can afford. Gunray and whoever's with him are running their own game, and he got way too cagey about saying what it is." She tugged gently on the tip of her lek. "I don't want to see resources and intel that could be making the whole resistance stronger getting funneled off to some politico's private pockets. I bet I'm not the only one who feels that way."

[Dapper Dog]

"I hear you, and I am with you," she said to the young Aznuri.

"I am trying to balance that with keeping them on board as they have provided good Intel even if I am sure there involvement is only to advance themselves and not the greater mission. I am not ignorant of that, but right now we need them. Later, we shall see. I need all hands on deck for this coming operation, I don't have the luxury to be picky if we want to take down the Dictator."

[Dove Gray]

"It's much my concern as well that this... NuCIS is looking to score more for themselves, rather than this growing movement as a whole. I dunno, it just seems petty and juvenile to me, but so far they've been cooperative."

Dove tapped her chin. "I'm mostly suspicious of the interest in the Foundry. Not that I deny its importance, but the push for it seemed to have ulterior motives. My guts are saying that it's not something that would betray us as such, but I wouldn't be surprised if whatever they were to find there is something they'd use as bargaining chip with the Resistance."

[Dapper Dog]

"You know Dove the Foundry is important to the Resistance too, we better send a team along with them to make sure everything is okay; the new CIS is going to need our support," she said.

[Dove Gray]

A knowing smirk. "I quite agree, ma'am. Can't be too careful."

[Dapper Dog]

She gave a weary smile at that, that was minor relief.

[Sinnya]

Sinnya chuckled at that. "See, this is why I'm not in charge of stuff. I would have just said, screw 'em, we're going to do it without them." She nodded to Dove. "But if you think it's okay for them to see whatever's in there, as long as we do too..."

"I think that's the better course of action because, firstly," she held up one finger, "we are supposed to be allies. It's only fair that we share it. And secondly," another finger, "I'm not ashamed to admit that they seem to have more of the smarty-techie folks on their team to pull off that kind of slicing-job."

Dove gave Sinnya a smirk. "I may be talented at a lot of things, but slicing was never one of my specialties... too used to relying on gadgets to do that job for me, but those are hard to get by."

[Dapper Dog]

"You have to make... compromises to keep this all working," is all she said.
