[Day 7 - MA] The Council

[Jedi Master Surro]

"They want vengeance, not punishment. They want people to pay for what they believe is justice, it is short sighted and justified," Master Surro replied.

"Historically any time the Jedi have acted as executioners things have one horribly wrong, this will be unkind to say but they will forget in time. For now we owe it to Neela and Valus to give them the support they need to redeem themselves. They will have to live with what they have done until the Force reclaims them, that is punishment enough."

[Oraka Hin]

Oraka added, “We are not blind to what they have done, but I see what they can do, what they can be if given a chance. It will not bring back what was lost, and that is a tragedy. There is no easy path forward but I agree with Master Surro in principle.”

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus listened carefully, nodding as they finished. "I understand, masters. Thank you." He let out a slow breath. "I will do my best to explain it to those who ask."

He grimaced. It was a hard question to answer, though, on more than one level. He could see the flickers of disappointment or anger in people's eyes.

[Fathynyu Kurrek]

Floats crosses her arms but says nothing. The real test would come when they had to apply the same rules to non-jedi.

[Xanna Teevou]

“I have had dreams… visions that the Elder Brother would come for me using a member of the Resistance or one of their allies. I can never see the face clearly but it is someone I have wronged surely of which there is no shortage and use that rage as a weapon to draw me into a trap. I believe it will happen soon… it must happen and when it does we can remove his evil, even if I must die to make it happen,” she said calmly.

“There is no death, there is only the Force.”

A look of concern crossed her face but she nodded when Petrus replied and spoke about the questions. "Yes. I have also been asked. I was planning to raise this later. The Aznuri in particular have been quite insistent." Understandably.

"So. We will take our trials tomorrow, and remain alert for a message from Neela. If anything unexpected occurs, please contact one of us. It may be our only opening," she nodded to Sacha and Rannek, "to trap the Hunter."

[Neela Takee]

Neela nodded, "It sounds like we have a plan of action."

[Oraka Hin]

Oraka then said, “We have one more concern, as Neela mentioned, Darth Vader is coming to Bankor. I know some of you have considered these Inquisitors as Sith, but they are only products of their teachings. Darth Vader is a Sith and my only advice is to flee, run.”

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus frowned, concerned. "We're planning to face the Inquisitor. Is Darth Vader that much more powerful?"

He raised his hands. "Believe me, I'm not arguing. If your advice is running, I can do that. I just want to know."

[Valus Mal]

"Darth Vader trained the Inquisitorius, or at least most them... us," Valus said.

"He has been hunting Jedi since Order 66, he is a master of the Dark Side."

[Sacha Ordo]

"He's right, Petrus. If there's one lesson one can take from our history, it's to avoid anyone with 'Darth' as part of their title," Sacha noted, tone darker and more serious than normal.

[Fathynyu Kurrek]

Floats pales so hard she turns pink.

[Zerras Blume]

"I've heard stories." The newcomer spoke up again. "Terrible, horrific stories. He's unstoppable. Inescapable. Inevitable. He is the death of our heroes and the fall of our belief. He is everything we should fear."

"But, we cannot." She added. "We cannot let fear take us."

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus let out a slow breath. "Okay. Message received. We'll run."

He looked around. "So... does that mean we're all going to need to leave Bankor soon?" His tone was just the slightest bit wistful; it had been his home for years. But, ultimately, that didn't matter as much as his family and friends.

[Xanna Teevou]

"It may be wildly optimistic to suggest this, but if we defeat the High Inquisitor, somehow take the Dictator without destroying it, and control the space around Bankor... Can we not simply tell Lord Vader to leave?" She raised an eyebrow and looked at Oraka.

You had better be prepared to take your own advice Master.

[Rannek Nire]

Rannek coughed a bit and replied, “Not to be a Negative Neela... uhh I mean... Neebah but... one ship vs. the Imperial fleet doesn’t give us all that much leverage. I’ve seen the Imperial fleet completely destroy the surface of the planet Caamas with more Dictators than one could count.”

[Qareme Torth]

As the topic of Vader came up, Qareme closed her eyes. Both to hide the feeling from her trial before, and to keep a slightly annoyed feeling away.

I already brought this up before... the thought was gone as quickly as it came.

"If we defeat the High Inquisitor, take the Dictator, and send a message to tell Vader not to arrive...I feel that would hasten his arrival, due to the inhabitants of this planet returning two Inquisitors to the light, defeating a High Inquisitor, and defeating those on a very big and important ship" Qareme commented thoughtfully in her sitting position "he is coming. The only unknown is how soon."

[Oraka Hin]

Oraka listened and then said, “When Darth Vader comes, you should run. I do not want him to try and capture you to try and turn you but you are correct we will have to face him.”

He then fell silent thinking.

[Lucinia Malvik]

Guardian Malvik then spoke, “Darth Vader is a Sith and they are strong but not unbeatable and it may be best to do as Master Hin says, but I would say that we can use his zealousness against him. Guide him away from where he may do the most damage.”

“It is dangerous, all Sith are, but it may be the best chance you have short of dropping some capital ships on him. I have seen you all train hard and more importantly the Resistance has trained hard, this is not an impossible fight.”

She finished with, “It may sound optimistic but the very reason why victory is possible is because the Empire will believe that it is impossible. The Force is with you, you will find your way even if you are afraid.”

[Xanna Teevou]

Seemingly unfazed she replied: "Then our options are to lead him away from Bankor, or find a way to defeat him." Xanna looked at Lucinia and Master Surro. "Is there anything in the archives about how Jedi have defeated powerful Sith Lords in the past, or is there anything in the Temple that could help?"

[Jedi Master Surro]

"I can create scenarios, based on past data," Master Surro responded.

[Xanna Teevou]

Xanna nodded. "That would be most helpful, thank you Master. Perhaps we do have to run, this time, but eventually we will have to face him. When that day arrives we are going to need a plan."

[Oraka Hin]

Oraka agreed, "The time will come."

[Zerras Blume]

"Regardless of how we fight, we need to prepare to do so." Zerras nodded. "May the Force guide each of you through your trials. I'll be ready to support you all, in any way I can."

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus smiled, nodding to the newcomer. "Thank you, Zerras. And yeah, you're right. The Force is with us. All of us."

He smiled at each of them, his friends and family, although his smile on Neela was touched with concern.

[Qareme Torth]

"Are Sith predictable enough to create scenarios for?" Qareme asked, curious.
