Jabber drains a long gulp of Corellian Whiskey and motions for the bartender to give him another. He's sitting at the table of a place called The Wookie's Codpiece, known for a grim atmosphere at barely watered merchandise.

"I've earned it..."

A new CIS recruit, a party forming to murder a powerful criminal...he had been busy.

[Daunt]

A familiar size and shape of a man entered the seedy bar. He approached the bar and sat near the Jawa without a greeting. "A beer." The voice was Daunt's.

Jabber turns to the new sound and takes another sip of his whiskey. He is quiet for a while, enjoying the burn of the liquor/

"Preparing for the chance that you're going to meet your maker?"

[Daunt]

"The beer is that bad here?" The Zabrak mused. "No, nothing too violent for tonight. Maybe tomorrow."

"So it seems. You've heard about the bounties?"

[Jabber]

"Yup. I took a group over to Vandils. Im already known by her, so that's my in. And she helps the Resistance so..." Jabber shrugs. "I guess it could be worse"

[Daunt]

"Don't know about your dealings with the Disciple and her brother but they are worse." Daunt sipped on his beer. "But I think the bounty on the Wall still stands."

[Jabber]

"Yeah, I missed my shot there. I didn't know he was connected, and that would have been a bloodbath." Jabber shrugs. "The Sand Devil was a much bigger mark. And then I had bigger problems."

[Daunt]

"But with that we also did the Crimson Dawn's bidding, Vandil just hid it from us. The whole takeover was backed, and not by Dryden Voss, since the Wall and the Disciple are his people."

[Jabber]

Jabber shrugs. "It's all the same to me. I hardly trust Vandil, but she's a useful means to an end for now, and I'll be shuffling off soon enough.

[Daunt]

"Means to what end?" Daunt mused, sipping.

[Jabber]

"Pay to get the CIS set up. Probably on another planet or moon, maybe start manufacturing enough to actually build up something. And Vandil is more willing to help out the factions staying behind...at a cost of course but what isn't?"

Jabber shrugs again.

[Daunt]

"So that Gunray is remaking the CIS and you're part of it?" Daunt stayed calm, somehow.

[Jabber]

"Kinda. It's the same name, but...well, it's different. A lot different." Jabber snorts. "We have a Metallic Unity faction. A Droid Liberation activist group, along with the people who once raised droid armies. Pretty much, it's currently whoever we've found who wants to go against the Empire but who doesn't thinking that charging at the enemy at every turn in the right way to do it."

[Daunt]

"Which would make sense to me and I'd even ask for a membership card if not for the fact that a Gunray was at the helm of the CIS that was responsible for genocide on my planet. And i have yet to hear a word of repentance from his kin for that, instead of those of dismissal and arrogance." He drank. "But you're cool, Jabber. In a galaxy like this we all make pragmatic choices."

[Jabber]

"Aye, pragmatism." Jabber raises a glass. "It's a fair reason not to sign up. I get that not everyone who can help is willing to sign in full time. We all have our own problems. But we also try to find ways to line our pockets a little in the process."

[Daunt]

"Funny how I don't care about money. They come and go. Killing is a profession that never gets obsolete."
