Verse was back at the cave, doing a final pass on her lightsaber crystal. She'd gotten it upgraded a bit the past few weeks, but after today she thought... well, why not keep going? This time, she focused her improvements along different lines, hoping to make it easier to disable an opponent quickly. Rather than focusing on pure damage.

After a rather eventful evening, Qareme had much the same idea as Verse; go to somewhere peaceful and prepare for the trials coming up in the next day. They had even met at the same place entirely coincidentally to travel to the Cabin. Or as Qareme would say, as the Force decided.

The two of them sat near the hut, cross legged, sharing the tools from the kit. Qareme had her crystal out, and was carefully working on it, but it didn't seem to be going as well, which was annoying her.

By the Force can't I get anything right?

Her annoyance seemed to weirdly help... although it was clear she was getting frustrated, which was unusual for her. While the modification was complete, something felt wrong about it.

After Verse had finished her modding, she watched Qareme work in silence for a while; before she too had finished. Then she was quiet a little while more.

"Sooo... I meditated with the High Inquisitor today," she said, as casually as one would explain they'd tried the new menu at McRodians.

[Qareme Torth]

"I see" Qareme commented as she carefully returned the crystal into her saber, only to pause.

"Sorry, what did you say?"

[Verse Aura]

"I ran into him in town," she said, sitting cross-legged. "He was very polite. I mean, ignoring the part where he said he'd break me and ripped apart someone's house with the Force. But I thought, you know, Qareme meditated with Neela and now Neela is a Jedi again, so why not offer to meditate with the High Inquisitor?"

[Qareme Torth]

Qareme went to speak, only to stop and think. Then went to say something again but paused.

"I truly cannot think of a moment where I have been so speechless."

Another pause as she gathered his thoughts.

"Did you get through to him?"

[Verse Aura]

"Yeah, I was pretty speechless too when I bumped into him. I mean, not really, I actually blabbered on a bit, said my name was Axy Halo, I bid you good day sir and... but yeah he wasn't buying that, so he got upset, and then I said he was probably afraid of Darth Vader, but he doesn't have to be and I could show him how by meditating. And he agreed. And then we meditated, and he was impressed. But... he also said my strength would serve the empire well, so... maybe it didn't go as well as I wanted it to."

[Qareme Torth]

"I would say it means he respects your abilities. Which of course means he may single you out as a key target to capture or kill" Qareme said thoughtfully "either way we may be able to use it to our advantage. Not that I would want to use you as bait."

[Verse Aura]

"Well, I've already been excellent bait before," she said, "I wouldn't mind being bait again. Apparently I'm really good at it."
