[Day 7 EE] Maybe You'll Find Someone Else to Help You

[Jabber]

If there is a being Jabber still feels skittish around, it's the statuesque and stern silver droid who represented Metallic Unity. However, he has someone positive to report, and even better, it's something she would directly be able to take credit for. He's let Bowze know that he's found something and to join tem if possible.

"Lady HYDRA! I think I have good news, but I will require your superior expertise." Jabber holds out the data chit he had received. "I have made contact with the synthetic being known as "Mr. Fixit", and he seems amenable to an arrangement. Even better, he is physically located in the Foundry area that you have been investigating. However, he is very based in self-interest...it seemed prudent to allow our slicing expert handle electronic security while we make contact."

[Dapper Dog]

HYDRA did not respond but she obviously heard.

[Jabber]

"He also would likely give us an avenue to acquire the equipment that you requested. After all, he has a reputation as a mastermind thief, and would be invaluable in aiding acquisitions"

Jabber steps closer with a chit.

"I feared it would be rude to go ahead without your superior intellect in this matter."

Manipulative? Maybe. But one worked with the tools they have.

[Dapper Dog]

HYDRA's voice responded, "We are superior."

"His skills could be useful to the collective and to the CIS."

[Jabber]

Jabber does his best to conceal a smile.

"Just so." He hands the chit to HYDRA. "Fixit offered this to communicate with. If those skills require any assets from outside the Collective, I am happy to organize a party to accomplish it."

[Dapper Dog]

She analyzed it and said, "This is now safe for use, simplistic backdoors and trojans, the tools of a simpleton droid."

"The General should be secure to make contact."

[Jabber]

"That is why I mentioned your superlative skills. Thank you...

Jabber pauses. "I had called you Lady as a sign of respect, but I realized that I gendered you. Do you have a title you prefer other than HYDRA?"

"But anyway, I will get the General. I am sure that he wants to evaluate the next step."

[Dapper Dog]

"I am HYDRA, it pleases me to have this form that is perceived as feminine. If that gives your simplistic mind comfort then I do not find fault in your simplistic mind gendering my form. Organic species seem to enjoy the xenopromorphication of objects and super intellects alike," she responded.

[Jabber]

I think that might be the nicest way I've ever been insulted.

Usually, it was far more overt, coming at the hand of a Hutt or someone like Vandil.

"Well, I am glad that offense was not given Lady HYDRA. I will be off then."

Jabber heads off to find Bowze and help him make contact.

[Bowze Coppa]

Bowze was in the command room, looking things over.

''Yes Jabber? You got something for me?''

[Jabber]

"A secure connection to Mr. Fixit, one droid criminal mastermind. Even better, his physical hideout is in the Foundry, meaning we might be able to get a more direct line in."

Jabber holds up the chit.

"HYDRA checked it already and it's clean to use."

[Bowze Coppa]

''Wonderful news Jabber. You are hella efficient.'' he said picking up the chip ''But before I talk with Fixit, can you give me an update about Vandil?''

[Jabber]

Jabber nods.

"She's tucked herself away in Tididol's old digs. She seems properly paranoid, wouldn't greet us in person. It seems the rumor that she would pay fifteen thousand for proof of death on the Disciple is real. We are doing some digging...it would be quite a boon to get that cash, and having someone favorable to the Resistance doesn't hurt."

Jabber pauses. "How did the meeting go?"

[Bowze Coppa]

''A lot of confusion...people that should not be there were...but they might pull an attack against the Dictator, might. They also do not want anything to do with Vandil...not officially anyways. They also do not have enough ship to evac everyone at once...and the jedi are doing something vague against the High Inquisitor but hell if they gave détails.''

He reached for his datapad and showed his notes to Jabber

''Ground operations are planned and I asked that we would be the ones to attack the foundry. I have to ask HYDRA if she needs access to the comm towers Vandil had us spike a few months back to help our entrance and extraction. I aim to trojan the hell out of their systems to get all the info we can get.''

He paused thinking

''The disciple should also have valuable information and assests stored digitally, right?''

[Jabber]

Jabber nods. "I would imagine she has quite a bit. If there is any chance to get to the heart of her operations, and then data spike it? I think that would be better than her actually being dead."

The Jawa is thoughtful for a moment. "Look, taking out a crime boss is one thing. If we are taking about a serious ground attack, or even doing after an SD?" The Jawa lets out a low whistle. "We better make sure we are ready to go to ground or find a very dark or have deep hole to climb into. I mean..."

The Jawa looks around the base thoughtfully. "I'm proud of what we've done here. But we are not ready for a galaxy of pain to fall on us all at once."

[Bowze Coppa]

''Her dead and us acquiring intel, loose assets and creds is optimal.'' then came the talk about the ground assault

''I am not more thrilled them you are but they have an ace in the hole: some Mon Calamari cruisers and carriers are waiting one system over. If they can get fighter superiority...they stand a chance. As for the ground assault we will not be alone. Several points will be attacked at the same time all over the city and spreading the imperials thin. With the dictator occupied and the station sabotaged. We can achieve our goals...view this as an investment. The foundry's data can prove incredibly valuable.''

He paused and scrolled down the pad, showing a star map

''Lieutenant Vaya found these old maps as well as disused hyperlanes. There are several places we can hide and there might be other hidden CIS assets hidden in those space caches.''

[Jabber]

Jabber takes a gulp. "So it's really real. Every scrap of Intel will help when we run."

He pauses. "I guess it makes sense. Bankor isn't my home, just aplace to lay for a while. It's time to move to bigger and better."

[Bowze Coppa]

Bowze nodded and put a hand on the Jawa's shoulder

''This is the nature of the war we fight, the asymmetry requires us to keep moving or else risk being discovered. We will leave people here to man the listening post but the rest will need to take off.''

[Jabber]

Jabber looks around the base with fondness.

"I think you might have actually started something "

[Bowze Coppa]

''We did'' he replied ''None of this would be here if we did not all pitch in.''

he looked around himself ''I look forward to what we will do next.'' he paused looking at the chip

''But now we have more things to do. Please ask Hydra about dataspikes for both the disciple's data and a strike on the foundry while I settle things with Fixit.''

[Jabber]

"sounds like a plan. I'll do just that."

Jabber heads back over to HYDRA

[Bowze Coppa]

Meanwhile the nemoidian tried to contact Mr.Fixit, but to no avail.

''I hope nothing happened''

[Dapper Dog]

There is a message, <Minor Technical Difficulties, this unit will be right back to stealing everything you love shortly.>

[Bowze Coppa]

''Hmm, Fixit does not answer'' he told Jabber
