[Day 1 - LM] Have a New Seat [Closed]

[Dapper Dog]

Elaranu is brought to a white chamber, with a single table and two chairs.

[Elaranu]

Elanaru sat in the chair she was directed to sit in and pouted. Like a human child. This was outrageous! She was just trying to make an honest living gathering parts and fixing machines!

Before the Imperials could follow her in she composed herself. Sitting up straight and smoothing out her jumper she took a deep breath; This misunderstanding would be cleared up shortly. Yes yes, the Imperials had simply mistaken her, a Chiss, for one of the unwashed masses teeming about the galaxy. That must be why they had thought her papers odd or kept calling her "Pantoran". ...it must be some human insult or something.

[The Inquisitor]

Twenty minutes pass before a seamless door opened and in walked the Inquisitor. He casually gestured and the Chiss woman is flung from her seat against the wall and pinned there, nearly 2 meters off the ground. She cannot move.

He spoke in his calm mechanical voice, “Do you know why you are here, Chiss?”

OOC: Triumph used to absolutely terrify her, she suffers 3 strain from the sheer terror.

[Elaranu]

Ah... so he was an ozyly-esehembo. Impressive. And a strong one at that.

Her voice was obviously strained, but the woman kept it together otherwise. At least on the outside, "A misunderstanding, I think. I cannot think of any other reason. I do not steal or commit crimes, great one."

At least not that she knew of... hopefully this had nothing to do with her parents.

[The Inquisitor]

"Oraka Hin, what does that mean to you," he said to her as he paced in front of her, his cape fluttering behind him.

[Elaranu]

"I do not know the word. ...some sort of name perhaps? Not a Chiss name."

She wished her Galactic Common was better, but she had only started learning the language five years ago. She probably should have felt proud to know what she did, but her mind that was one that dwelt on limitations like niggling lice.

[The Inquisitor]

As he continued to pace she slid along the wall to match his steps. He continued speaking, “Have you been exposed to a Jedi, Chiss?”

[Elaranu]

"Exposed? ...I have heard a few rumors about those Jedi since I left my home; Something about... about rebel 'sky-walkers' within the Empire. Those with the gift within the Ascendancy are sent to the army or fleet, so I never even knew any ozyly-esehembo growing up."

She panted lightly through her nose, wondering where this was going; The "force" was so far away from her experience, that she feared maybe she'd been exposed to something she wasn't aware of. After all, if aliens with the gift had such strong powers as this one, who was to say she hadn't been ensorcelled by one of those unwashed hordes on the ships and space stations?

[The Inquisitor]

"Do you support the Resistance?" the Inquisitor asked.

[Elaranu]

"What, against the Imperial government and the Emperor? Why... I mean, that doesn't really seem logical to me. The Chiss support the Imperium; My people recognized the new rule as preferable to the Old Republic, and I agree. It is a strong government, and strong is good."

[The Inquisitor]

The Inquisitor twisted his hand in a circle and she slid on the wall until she was upside down and now eye level with the tall Inquisitor. He said, “Will you report any Jedi or Force user activity to the proper Imperial authorities, Chiss?”

There was a hiss and then a low hum and she could feel heat next to her face and something blinding just at the corner of her vision. He added, “This is a yes or no, answer.”

[Elaranu]

"Yes."

...yes or no answer it was. She was not sure yet who the proper authorities were. But they were ~authorities~; Surely such people would be apparent, no?

At least all the blood rushing to her head didn't turn her too purple.

[The Inquisitor]

"See that you do," he said turning and leaving as he came... once he was out the door she fell on her head in a heap.

OOC: Suffer a wound from the fall.

[Elaranu]

Elanaru sat up slowly and rubbed her head; Well... such things were to be expected with rebellions. But really, how could they think any blue-blooded Chiss could be such scum? It seemed she had much to learn about the intricacies of the situation she'd gotten herself into...

Standing up, she peeked out the door to see what was going on.

A little flustered, Ela let herself be lead back to her stuff; Hopefully, none of it was confiscated...
