[Day 8 - MM] Vode An

[Dapper Dog]

Horus sat on a stone statue and listened to the resistance operative offer an olive branch and see if the Mandalorians want a chance to strike at the Empire. The old Mandalorian has called the Mandalorians that wish to speak together as he feels he should not make such a decision on his own.

This is an important decision.

Sacha stood near Horus, listening to the offer. She'd made her own bed in that regard, but that had been her own decision. The last one she'd made had shaken her confidence, but that just meant she needed to do better in the future. She looked to the armor, curious about his thoughts on the matter.

"Child of Ordo, your thoughts on this? Should we aid this Resistance or go our own way?" Horus asked.

[Sacha Ordo]

She paused for a long moment in thought. Finally, she said, "The Empire wants perfect order, and we're not bootlickers. It is only a matter of time before they come for us." She looked toward the Resistance operative. "I don't think it would be a bad idea to have allies."

[Dapper Dog]

A few Mandalorians shout, "We should not involve ourselves! Where was the Resistance when we were attacked?"

[Sacha Ordo]

She looked to them. "They were with us, at least some. There were outsiders fighting at the front, if you remember, even though we were not their allies then. Even one of the Cathar set aside his grudge to help defend us."

[Dapper Dog]

Horus said, "She speaks true... and it would not be the first time we have chosen sides as a people."

She nodded in agreement, though she couldn't remember many that had turned out well in the stress of the moment. Bringing up any of those would take things in the opposite direction.

"If not historically, consider the situation in practical terms. The Empire has already taken a side against us. We've been attacked here, and Mandalore itself is controlled by the Empire. Battle lines have been drawn. We are part of a side. The question is whether or not we bolster it, and those under similar circumstances."

[Venator Praedae]

Venator is attending the meeting and standing in the back listening. He was not present during the attack and is one of the few Mandalorians will working in Rygor. He listens in on the details of what happened that day. He is surprised to hear that some allies came to the aid of the Mandalorians.

They seem to listen even if reluctantly and one says, "I will fight, at least here with these allies. This is the Way."

[Sacha Ordo]

Sacha nodded, echoing, "This is the Way." Eventually, someday when the Resistance was larger, when her plans came to fruition, there would be more. This was enough for now.

[Dapper Dog]

Horus then said, "You have your answer, now run along and tell your masters we will ride to war."

He turned to Sacha, "You have done well."

[Sacha Ordo]

She smiled under her helmet. It was all she'd wanted to hear. But... now things were bigger for her.

She nodded. "Thank you."

She paused. "I will need to leave soon. I think there is much more I need to do than I realized. I should make Bo-Katan aware of what has happened here, as well."

[Dapper Dog]

"So your time with us is coming to an end?" he asked. "You will always be welcome here, as you know."

[Sacha Ordo]

She nodded. "This is the Way."

"It is." She looked down at the gauntlet of what she created. "Manda'yaim is held by the enemy, and our relic and leadership is held by an outsider. I have to help."

"I had hoped to finish my armor before I left, but I was only able to locate a single ingot of beskar." She took it out to show him what she had recovered from the ship. "Though this reminds me, have you heard in any of our histories of an Oddyn Viszla?"

[Dapper Dog]

"I have not heard of the name," he responded.

He looked at the ingot and said, "I think you are ready to forge this, that much I know you can do."

[Sacha Ordo]

She nodded. "I understand. With this, do we have the supply to finish it?"

[Dapper Dog]

"We would need a second," he said grimly.

"If you are leaving us, then it may be time for you to be fully ready," he said rising and walking to the forge.

[Sacha Ordo]

She nodded, following. "Yes." She didn't feel there was a question anymore. It was time for her apprenticeship to finally come to an end.

[Dapper Dog]

"Then it's time you learn to work with beskar, it's not a forgiving metal and it will fight you, but you can handle it," Horsus said.

He puts another ingot down, "This is the Way."
