Ru'ni had convinced the Elders that he had unfinished business to attend to, some loose ends to wrap up before he committed himself to his sentence. Some of that business was here, hopefully someone would be here, if not he had some papers to leave on the communal kitchen table.

Floats was covered in bandages and had apparently fallen asleep on a chair in the kitchen.

Ru'ni chuckled at the sleeping Nautolan. She was so innocent in so many ways, although the bandages she bore spoke to her having seen recent violence.

It appeared he was not the only one who'd had a busy day. He tried to sit down quietly, but the seats were obviously low in the priority of repairs and it screeched horribly as metal grated on metal.

Floats starts awake "Lightning!"

Her head twitches left and right for a few moments before she takes a deep breath and looks around
"Oh, heya Mr Ru'ni. Late night?" There is a toothy Nautolan yawn

He nods in acknowledgment of Floats' assessment. "In quite a few ways. Looks like your day has been...unusually dangerous? Or at least I hope unusual. If that's the daily life of a boat mechanic, then damn!"

"Oh yeah, we uh, got into a bit of a scrap, and I was made a jedi knight....real long day now I think about it, guess they're going around!"
Boat mechanics had it hard as anyone!

"I hope it was good long though? I know you've needed some time to sort things out, Miss Dove and Mr Astin said it was complicated."

"Wow! There's a lot of you Jedi around it seems. But... congratulations?" He offers tentatively, glad that his rite of passage into the Aznuri was apparently less painful.

"Yeah, I think so. Some good news, some loose ends tied up. I think I'm starting to figure out where I belong, which is comforting. But definitely complicated..."

Astin walked into the ship, clothes still a bit damp, apparently he had been somewhere recently where it had been raining.

Giving a nod to the ships two occupants he delivered a fairly standard greeting. "Evenin'"

"Captain," Ru'ni greeted the pilot with a grin. "Figured out where to stick your big missile tube yet?" He asked a little teasingly.

"Wow! There's a lot of you Jedi around it seems. But... congratulations?" He offers tentatively, glad that his rite of passage into the Aznuri was apparently less painful.

"Yeah, I think so. Some good news, some loose ends tied up. I think I'm starting to figure out where I belong, which is comforting. But definitely complicated..."

"Captain," Ru'ni greeted the pilot with a grin. "Figured out where to stick your big missile tube yet?" He asked a little teasingly.

"Thanks! I got this pretty cool scar on my back if you wanna see, then I got hit with lightning, again."
She manages a tired smile at the good news
"Hey now, figuring where you belong is real important! I still haven't figured that out yet, even though technically I belong in an aquatic environment."

Narrowing her eyes and looking between the two
"Big missile tube? Is this onea them, euphemisms y'all use?"

"I'm not sure I rate that moniker, Ru'ni. In fact I imagine some of the fly boys in their fighters would be grumbling if they heard it " There was a smile on its lips when he said it, so it was clear he didn't mean it as a rebuke.

"Ah, not this time Floats. It's really just a big missile tube that I have no idea what to do with." He smirked. "Maybe I'll just keep in around just in case I need to shoot something with it." Or someone. Astin hadn't missed the part about belonging though, and he figured Ru'ni was here with a decision of his own. Still that waa no reason to rush the subject.

She continues to turn her head between Astin and Ru'ni, slowly picking up on the subtext.

"It got pretty banged up in the fight though," Ru'ni commented as he looked to Floats. "Maybe you can help him make it work properly." Then he broke into giggles. "Okay, now that was going to be 'onea them euphemisms'." He added once he had calmed down.

Hearing Floats commemts about lightning and scars he let out a kow whistle. "Sure you're ok there, I'm not much of a doctor but you seem in good humor after...well whatever electrified you. Caught in the rain with a live wire or something?"

Astin was right about the reason Ru'ni had come, but wanted to see if anyone else was turning up, rather than having to explain it twice.

"You'd be surprised at the stuff folks leave lying around, Floats. Astin replied chuckling as he heard Ru'ni and his euphemism. "I think this is a first, I might be the only without their mind in the gutter." He teased in response.

"Aye, that does sound like a story you have on your hands there. If you're willing to share it."

“Uh, well if by rain you mean ‘imperial attack’ and by live wire you mean ‘inquisitor shooting lightning’ then yeah!”
Gosh, euphemisms were fun!

“And Mr Astin, if my mind’s in the gutter it’s because you put it there with your well meaning gutter mind!”

Smiling at the two and rubbing a bandage
“Well, first we had our trials to become Jedi, that’s where I got the school scar in a place Mr Astin would like to see but can’t on account of it being a personal location. Then we got attacked by the biggest, baldest and baddest inquisitor and his death squad. It was real scary and I guess we won? I mean, I killed him, but it don’t seem right to celebrate killing a man”

"I just nudged your mind in that direction, if it's there now it's because it wants to be." He teased in return. Falling silent to listen to the rest of her explanation.

He had to admit he was a bit disappointed that she had become a jedi, seemed those villains were trying to rebuild their sinful order, and that didn't feel quite right to him. Though he didn't bother commenting on it.

"Hey, I can't help if it scars are cool." He might have a bit of one from his blaster burns. "Still seems like you had an eventful day, glad to hear you killed that inquisitor fellow. Though you're right about it not being something to celebrate even if it was nessacary."

"Pretty much, I got knocked around and shot a bit, nothing like being electrocuted though." Another stim and he would be feeling a lot better.

"But, well, some folks you just can't talk down, and others... Well there are some out there you likely shouldn't even try it with." It could and would just make matters worse.

"That would be convenient." There was no lie about that. "Sadly though not all evil is so visible or easily identified." He finished with a soft sigh.

Shaking his head he let a playful smile dance onto his lips. "I'm not fully healed if that's what you're asking, I was thinking of taking another stim before bed though."

"Course your welcome to look over the work the nurses did if you really want."

She makes sympathetic sounds about the injuries
“I mean, I’ve never had medical training so I wouldn’t even know what to make of them. You uh, breathing okay and not bleeding too much?”
she looks to Ru’Ni for confirmation of her definition of good health

"Long as the insides are staying on the inside." Ru'ni confirmed with a grin, then he'll probably be fine in the long run. "I mean he didn't even lose consciousness once, so he's a pretty tough nut to crack."

Glancing around, he wonders where Dove is at too, although he'd seen her out and about late at night before so didn't think much of it.

"But anyway, I assume these go to you Astin. I'm signing over my stake in the Coyote. Onsell it, or split it up between the lot of you, I'll leave the call up to you."

"Wasn't a spy." Astin answered Floats, with a wry smile. "Maybe I'll tell you some day too, now though isn't quite the time."

"But,seems like it's a consensus, mt shirt stays on and we let the stims get to work a bit later." Moving to the fridge, he pulled out a bottle of beer and popped the top on it, before walking over to Ru'ni.

"I figured thats why you came, can't stay even if ya wanted too?" He asked walking over to Run'ni he held out his hand for the mans shares. "Thanks for coming by to let us know, I'll talk to the others and figure out what to do with these."

“I know you ain’t been here much recently but... you’re a decent fellah Mr Ru’Ni. I can always loan you my share if you need a ride in the future or a boat or something?”

"I figured thats why you came, can't stay even if ya wanted too?" He asked walking over to Run'ni he held out his hand for the mans shares. "Thanks for coming by to let us know, I'll talk to the others and figure out what to do with these."

"I'd love to stay, but Neela's not the only one with a penance to pay. The people decided she's to stay on and work with the Aznuri to make amends for the Razing, and that I'm to work with her...integration." He smiled and nodded at Astin.

"Besides, you were right as willing as Vi would've been to travel with me in the Coyote, I think she'd prefer to raise our child in the tradition we both grew up in."
