[Djanik]

Djanik paused, wiping his brow.

After a moment he said, bluntly. "It varied. The one who had command of my unit? Arrogant, dismissive, superior and condescending. Sure that he knew better than anyone else because of his glorious force."

Shrugging, he added, "I also met one... Kenobi? I think it was. In passing. He was courteous. He said hello, very friendly like."

Grabbing another lump of scrap, he added, "Apart from that? I met a few in passing, most were kind, but most also had that same damned self-assurance... as if they could never be wrong."

[Vaya Mer'darrow]

Vaya said "Hmm," but didn't change her expression.

"And you, Bowze? I'm guessing you never got up close and personal with one during wartime, given as you still have bilateral symmetry."

[Bowze Coppa]

''I profundly dislike the Jedi'' he answered back ''They where hit or miss tought. Highly egoistical. Some seemed to have earned it, others not...but they all seemed to think everything revolved around them for some reason.''

He heaved a ppiece of machinery on the ship

''They were easy to manipulate...even with their cheatsy powers.''

Vaya gave a neutral "hmm" again, and continued operating the lift.

Djanik set down another chunk, resting against the ship for a moment, and glanced up at Vaya. "Ok, I'll bite, what's your opinion of the Jedi? You're fishing for something - out with it."

[Vaya Mer'darrow]

Vaya shook her head. "I'm not fishing, I'm... researching. Conduncting field interviews." One corner of her mouth became a tired and subdued version of her usual smirk. "Although I guess proper procedure and ethical guidelines state that I'm supposed to tell my subjects that that's what I'm doing." She shrugged the same shoulder she was smiling with, perhaps in non-apology.

"I see."

He raised an eyebrow. "What are you researching for?"

[Vaya Mer'darrow]

Vaya's smirk became more fully formed. "Tell me you never got a little curious, when you weren't being annoyed. These people cheat, but they're not charlatans. They sense something, there's something that lets them do what they do. Even if you can't feel it yourself, didn't you ever wonder, just a little, what it meant?"

[Djanik]

"Of course I wonder."

He scowled. "In part, I wonder what force could be benevolent that gives power to monsters and heroes alike - with seemingly no care for the consequences."

[Vaya Mer'darrow]

Vaya gave a quiet laugh. "Heh! What an awful thought, some sapient invisible omnibeing capriciously sprinkling magic dust... nah, I think that whatever it is, it's not thinking like that. Or not thinking at all, just, you know, existing. It doesn't pick Forceful beings any more than the MuscleForce picks out which of us get beefy." She tapped her entirely unimpressive bicep proudly.

"Not that I know personally. The Jedi are my main source of first-hand accounts, and they aren't the easiest to get to talk sense about it, either. Can you believe one of them told me that they weren't a religion? Hah!" She laughed the laugh of an academic, ha ha ha, these silly people don't know how to define their terms properly!

[Djanik]

"Well, whatever they are, they got dealt a good hand, yet they don't seem to realize how much luck is on their side..."

He chuckled darkly, then imitated some jedi with a nasal voice from his past.

"Oh no, it isn't luck, Dak, it's the force. You have to trust the force - it is telling me to lead you into this trap that I'll survive because I'm so powerful, never mind the troopers that died - they're not really important anyway - they're not jedi!"

[Bowze Coppa]

''There are other Force traditions if I recall...'' Bowze chimed in ''Dathomir had some form of spooky witches back in the day.''

[Vaya Mer'darrow]

"Oh?" said Vaya blandly. She didn't move to touch the padded carrying case she had slipped Juri's gift in to before she had climbed down. "I think I've heard of them."

[Bowze Coppa]

''I don't think there are any left though...Something happened between them and Dooku. Not sure what...'' he sighed ''Grievous led an attack on them''
