"You forget," she said, "if you think that I'm going to fall and flip like that, like these people I've never known and don't care to know, you've forgotten, maybe you never knew."

"My brother is here, my brother is constantly at risk, I wouldn't be able to handle the thought of doing anything that might put him in danger. So don't, just.. just don't try to compare my situation to theirs."

"If you think I'm questioning what we do because of him, you have no idea."

Dak just shrugged the girl was passionate nothing more could really be said that would change anyone's mind one way or the other. He let his hand dropped and nodded "I apologize if I've offended you Jenna, I trust you and as I said I'll do all I can to make sure this man is given a chance to do the right thing."

Jenna was angry, after all, his words stung in a way that felt like she was being.. well, perhaps treated like a child or maybe.. maybe he just gave voice to the thoughts in her head that spoke ill of her and what she knew all the way here.

Maybe, truly, he really did sound a lot like her, when she didn't make these mistakes.

Maybe that's why it hurt, but by the time she'd started down the ramp off the ship she'd calmed, a moment, and put her hand on the side to prop herself up as she looked back.

"Thank you, Jurdak I.. I know how I sound, I know what I'm asking and I just.. just thank you, for trusting me and for, well, doing what you can. I'll be there tomorrow, where the resistance needs me, where my family needs me, where my brother needs me. Maybe, I hope, maybe I.. maybe I won't lose something tomorrow, maybe I won't have to sacrifice, no matter how this turns."

"I'm sorry, for putting this on you.. but thank you," she said, inhaled deep and puffed up her shoulders. Prepared to take her leave.

Dak waited for a moment "You're welcome Jenna. Thank you for trusting me, bringing this to me first." He paused "Just make sure I get an invitation to the wedding yeah?" He joked with a small smile a gentle ribbing but also a kind of olive branch a offering telling her they were ok in his book, how about hers?

"Shut up," she said, chuckling and shaking her head, walking off the ship. They were gonna be alright.

Dak smiled after her but his smile slowly fell as she exited the ship. The girl had hope but maybe too much, and too much hope could turn to despair in the face of reality. He was going to try but he wasnt confident that things were going to go the way she wanted.

Dak shook his head and turned off the surveillance scrambler, he went about checking his equipment and making sure it would be ready for tonight.
