Floats sniffles
“I know you ain’t been here much recently but... you’re a decent fellah Mr Ru’Ni. I can always loan you my share if you need a ride in the future or a boat or something?”

He offers a dip of his head to Floats, before getting up from his chair and offering her a very platonic and careful hug. "Just make sure you keep this here one out of trouble and I'll be grateful. I know it's a big ask, but I'm sure you're up to it."

Floats was given a soft pat on the shoulder as Astin walked back into the common

"Figures." He replied with a grimace, taking a sip of his beer, and studying Ru'ni for a moment. "Be careful and don't be fooled by her Ru'ni that woman just as much a monster now as she was when she did the razing. When I talked to her about meeting you she seemed right and willing to die. 'There is no death, only the Force.' That's what she said.

"But when she came to the meeting she was armed, and she had brought friends, advocates you could say. She showed her true nature when she slaughtered Hrugos though. She could of run into that tank and demanded his surrender, tried to show him the same mercy her new friends showed her. Instead she cut him to pieces."

"Nobody say it though, they were too pleased she fought on our side. They didn't notice she remained the same kind of monster, and the only difference was she no longer bares her fangs at us." At least for the moment.

He offers a dip of his head to Floats, before getting up from his chair and offering her a very platonic and careful hug. "Just make sure you keep this here one out of trouble and I'll be grateful. I know it's a big ask, but I'm sure you're up to it."

Another sniffle followed by a bone crushing hug in return
"He's a lot of trouble, but it's good trouble and I'll do my best!"
Astin's pat is much appreciated, although Floats is obviously more than a little concerned by both the departure of a ship mate and the apparent jedi related massacre at the Aznuri conclave.

"You sure you're not putting too heavy a burden on her shoulders, Ru'ni?" Astin asked with a raised eyebrow. "I can be a whole mess of trouble, and now you're leaving me alone on a ship with two ladies." It'd probably just make things worse? Or maybe better?"

[Ru'ni Wayne]

"Better or worse than if there was an infant on board?" Ru'ni asked as he rolled his shoulders after the intense hug from Floats.

"I know Dove prides herself as something of a mother figure, but that's a whole nother level."

"I'm just glad we're a real mature group of folks or things could be difficult."
The thought of maturity reminds her that Ru'Ni is leaving again and she goes back to sniffling, it wouldn't be the same with the pervert ratio all different now!

"As long as this Empire thinks they can do whatever they want, things will always be difficult." Ru'ni hands Floats a tissue for her blubbering.

"But good friends can help make difficult times better than they have any right to be."

[Astin Denive]

"I think Mia was more of the mother, Dove is just subbing in. Plus Floats could teach a kid everything she knows about boats." Astin replied with a half smile before taking a sip of his beer.

"You put a baby in front of Dove though, well she'd likely end up hiding under a table or something."

Going back into the kitchen Astin ffetched a couple more beers, and offered them to Runi and Floats.

"As Floats said though, wwe'll manage." AStin finished before giving a nod to Run'ni and his comment abotu friends.

It's not pleasant when a nautolan blows their nose, but desperate times lead to desperate measure. Heck, she even accepts a beer, a sure sign that the world is gone upside down.
