Falling to Pieces (The Coyote, Day 7 Late Morning.)

"That probably depends on what the tip is." Astin replied chuckling. "Meet em on the beach in a bikini with 50 credits, I think you're golden."

[Dove Gray]

"I will keep that in mind."

At least the food looked good, even if she hadn't managed to remember all of the lessons. "Well then, let's eat?"

[Astin Denive]

"Let me just finish up one thing." Moving to the fridge he pulled out a few items, making a simple salad for the pair.

"There, can't have just fish after all."

[Dove Gray]

Dove sighed, shaking her head with a good-natured smile. "Ugh, you're just like Mia." She proceeded to put on her best impersonation of her fellow blonde.

"Meals should be balanced and healthy; at least half the plate should be veggies. Greasy street food isn't proper meal, Dove!"

[Astin Denive]

"I probably get it from my mama." Astin said with a shake of his head, a bit of laughter in his tone. "Though I wouldn't go as far as Mia, greasy street food is a good meal every now and then. I just think a proper meal is more then one dish."

Dividing some of the fish and salad between them, he moved to the fridge for a fresh beer. "Might not of even been veggies if I hadn't been to busy flirting to prepare sides."

"Oooh, so it's my fault?" she laughed and stuck her tongue out.

"I'm just glad it's food I didn't have to cook. And nutrition bars get really boring after while..." Dove sighed and gave a look to the food. At least it looked good! "And yeah, greasy food is totally a fine meal! It has a lot of carbs and stuff - excellent for someone who needs that. I burn through carbs and calories like they were paper."

"That's my story and I'm sticking to it, Miss Expert as Distraction" he replied with a playful wink.

"Nutrition bars get boring after the first one." Astin corrected, taking his beer and plate and heading towards the kitchen table. "Though now you got me wondering what all you're doing to burn all those calories." He added teasingly.

"As for cooking, I don't mind it, I usually try and make enough to have left overs though. Mostly in case I get hungry in the middle of the night, or don't feel like cooking the next day."

Dove gave an innocent shrug. "I have a high metabolism, among a few things." She figured he wouldn't be interested in listening to her list the genetic aspects she had been modified with to make her a more effective operative.

"But leftovers never taste as good as they do fresh. At least in my experience with takeout food."

[Astin Denive]

"Ain't got that wrong." It was the downfall of take out food. "The bonus of something like this though, is the fish will likely make for a pretty damn good sandwich later this evening."

"Could probably use it for other things too though, like tacos."

[Dove Gray]

"Fish tacos do have their appeal," she agreed, but she was thinking of something else. "We should have a big taco night later with the crew and friends... after the fighting's done."

"Or did you want a big beach cookout instead?"

"I'll be fine with either one, though I'd say a cook out could likely accommodate more people." Though a taco night did also sound appealing, all you can eat...

He shook his head, to banish stray thoughts. "Grilling would call for a simpler menu though."

[Dove Gray]

"Hmmm..." Dove made grabby-hands at imaginary food. "All you an eat tacos..." It was probably food she was talking about.

"Maybe you should talk to Xanna about setting up something like that? If everything goes well, a big celebration with good food will be good for morale."

[Astin Denive]

He smirked and shook his head. "We can make the taco day a more intimate affair " That just meant with close friends only, right.

"I just have to be careful about flirting with her since she is dating someone?" He asked raising an eyebrow. "My random nudge in the legese is a little out of date."

[Dove Gray]

"She and Petrus is a thing, so behave," she warned him, although with a smirk. "Won't have some scoundrel trying to sabotage the kid's first relationship, ya hear?"

[Astin Denive]

"A soup girl and a geek." He considered that for a second. "I suppose that works out." As long as Petrus didn't go all creepy stalker.

'I'll be good then, try not to flirt with girls with boyfriends anyways, only need to make that mistake once and you don't really want to repeat it."

"Good. Because you know I'll give you a good whoppin' otherwise," Dove shot a smirk at him.

"Shall we eat, then?"
