"Then I'll remind you, or I'll make you remember." Daunt stimmed himself, then prepared a brutal strike. It missed, but it awarded him some confidence as he gained a bit of ground.

Lord Vader deflected the attacks and struck back at the odd Zabrak.

Daunt took the pain with a grin. Death didn't have power over him now.

[Verse Aura]

Things weren't looking good for team BDH. She was afraid; surely they all were to one extent or another. But Verse had a motto; 'never not be not thinking! Just go!'

"It's just one more door! And he's just one guy!"

Her enthusiasm was infectious, maybe they COULD do this? Spurred on by Verse's little burst of leadership they...

"I mean, one super strong guy, but come on!"

[Oraka Hin]

Master Hin could feel the darkness closing in on his students, they were facing one of the greatest evils the galaxy had produced… Darth Vader. They had sacrificed everything but the Force was not with them, they served a purpose as all things do.

He reached out through the Force, it was simple to find the pain and struggle and they heard his voice as all were attuned to the Force, “The Force is With you, you are the future of the Jedi… the galaxy. Stay strong and remember, no one is truly alone with allies at their side.”

He became one with the Force, his clothes falling to the ground.

There is no Death, there is the Force.

OOC: Most Penalties removed the Roll is Hard with a setback.

Things were getting desperate. Qareme tried her best to organize everyone but it was too chaotic. Then she felt it; Oraka passing. His words whispered through the force.

"Believe in the Force, and the Force will guide us through...." Qareme added, although her words were impossible to hear.

Zerras felt a calmness come over her as she pulled off a service panel. If she could rewire things properly, they might still have a chance.

"Is it the red wire?"

The moment Daunt reconciled with his imminent death, he felt a surge of serenity and peace, a sense of connection between him and who he fought alongside even though he didn't really know them. Against the impervious, impenetrable evil of the man he wanted to stop, they felt closer to him than ever. He shuddered at this sudden connection, the pull, though chose not to overthink it. For the first time since he remembered his calm was not a veneer, it came from within. He didn't understand what was occurring, but he found no anger in himself at this sudden change. Something pushed him toward going with the flow, or rather manoeuvring over the flow, something that had been with him since he remembered...

But maybe that lull was not for him. After he put some bacta in his veins and charged, he fatally exposed himself.

Lord Vader neatly parried and retaliated with a pinpoint attack... Oraka was dead, at least something had gone right today.

[Daunt]

With his last effort, clinging to his defiant attitude, Daunt deflected the worst of Vader's cut, rendering himself onto the verge.

Whenever the shadows are longest and darkest, know that the Light still shines to offer a flicker of hope. She heard Oraka's words, and then felt his passing to become one with the Force. She closed her eyes, noting the moment; letting it wash over her, before she opened them with renewed vigor again. There was always hope, always the Light, always the Force.

She smashed buttons, letting the Force guide her.

The Force would have to wait a little while longer for hope.

The gentle path was not for Daunt, it was quite clear now. At the moment of greatest serenity he had started failing miserably. So now he embraced the opposite emotion, the deep hate nurtured in him. Maybe that's why Zabraks had two hearts, to have one for the Light and one for the Dark. And now, it was the sinister one pumping blood into his muscles. He roared.

"I defy you, pothead!" He lunged himself in a fierce attack that struck home and had a potential to push Vader back!

Lord Vader clashed with the Zabrak only for him to cut the warrior down and strode forward saying, "Already forgotten."

The Zabrak fell, cut across his legs, and stopped moving, with eyes open. Retinas were twitching. He had dreams.

But she saw nothing.

It was desperation time. Qareme took a moment to stim herself before she turned to Vader, stared at his face (or at least what she assumed was a face) and spoke calmly across the air, her words carrying across the chaos of the area.

"Leave."

She hoped the Force would help her.

I believe this isn't a success, but Influence on Vader to make him leave (or perhaps at least move to short range then come back in a turn?) Either way Triumph is 2 points so running total 7 points. Incidental to stim. 3 setbacks for next person)

[Lord Vader]

The clash of wills is immense and for a moment she feels something good? Washed away by darkness and rage as she feels his lightsaber strike back at her…

Brief words… from a familiar if distant voice, “… you were my brother, Anakin! You were supposed to save… Jedi… not darkness…”

Then another voice, “I HATE YOU!”

And then pain.

"I believe in you," Verse said to Qareme as she moved to distract Vader. Verse then... tried to fiddle with some controls some more.
