Oh, I did want to say that, while Sacha was often confused or put off by Horus, I greatly enjoyed her interactions with him.

Thanks for the Epic Events on the final day
The Vader event made me think of that 5-man instance in WoW's Wrath of the Lich King where at the end you just have have to get the hell away from the Lich King!

In addition, I'd like to voice my appreciation on how you structure and balance events of some narrative complexity. That's usually a hard thing to strike that golden spot between making it both passable and gripping/dramatic for players. The Vader event was a masterstroke in this regard. Thank you.

Thank you I am glad the game was well received, it leaves a good feeling that all the time invested was worthwhile for the players.

Re: Dapper Dog Feedback and Stuff
I only did a drive-by question earlier because I was using limited posting time for the game, so I didn't yet say, this was awesome! I have a smaller sample size for these sorts of games so I don't have as many points of comparison as other players, but, I had a tremendous amount of fun. I'm glad that this game happened at a time in my life when I could engage with it as much as I did.
I was going to offer more specific feedback, but as I was reading through this thread I think Sinnya said pretty much everything I was going to say! So, except for the very particular to her experience parts, "what she said" (maybe it runs in the family). And I would include as seconded by me praise for the Anzuri stuff, even though Vaya was in the literal sense an outsider to it.
I am increasingly curious about the structure of these things from the GM side (some farfetched ambition to maybe do one myself). When you concieved the main plot (which I think of as the various stages of resistance, interwoven with the Jedi's stuff with Oraka/Valus/Neela, but if that's not what you thought of as "the main plot" that would also be interesting!), how did you lay it out?

Re: Dapper Dog Feedback and Stuff
I knew I wanted to do a post Order 66 storyarc with a popular video game out plus the Mandalorian I figured people would like that setting. I wanted to hit the classic themes of tyranny versus a nascent rebellion. I also knew I wanted a more cinematic increase in power hence the higher XP haul, to show the rapid growth over the course of the story.Vaya Mer'darrow wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2020 12:43 amI am increasingly curious about the structure of these things from the GM side (some farfetched ambition to maybe do one myself). I knew I wanted to revisit Bankor, and I had some basic overall sweeping stories of the Resistance fighting and the Crime story was fleshed out as well at least the end and beginning but a lot of it was organic and based on character submissions and actions. I added the Crimson Dawn after several characters brought that into their backgrounds; Lyla was created to fulfill the hunter roll for Bowze and then I added the Palpatine angle as a nod to the Emperor’s Hand and Mara Jade from legends.
Oraka was created before the game but the Valus link came after I decided he knew Xanna and made that more explicit. Neela was created late in game formation on Day 0 once I had a handle on how I wanted to handle Mahon and his reason for fighting. I knew then redemption could be possible if players wanted to go that route but it was never a for sure thing which is why I added randomized rolls for them.
I had some overarching goals but a lot of the details filled in during play in response to players and the needs of the story. I am not too proud to admit to throwing a hook out there before knowing how I want it to connect to the overall story. Also I never fall too in love with a story to not adjust it later if I need to.
When in doubt, allowing a player to be right with their conspiracy theories is a fun thing to watch, since it only engenders more theory crafting which you can steal from. Again this works for me because I am quick to think on my feet, but not for everyone I also think about the games a lot and consider scenarios of how things would go.

Sorry for the double post but I did think of a question about this series. I know it was sort of a more spur of the moment thing but do you envision this as a trilogy+? Or just going game by game until you feel all the stories worth telling have been told/you get tired of running?

Thinking trilogy up to the battle of Yavin or so. Maybe 4 games at best.Jurdak Surt wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2020 9:50 amSorry for the double post but I did think of a question about this series.
