[LM9] It's Morphing Time

[Venator Praedae]

Venator heads back out to the Mandalorian camp to meet up with Sacha to upgrade his gear.

[Sacha Ordo]

Sacha took the opportunity to deliver the ship at the same time. She wasn't amazing at piloting, but she could manage something as simple as flying and landing in atmo easily enough.

She waved as she walked down the gangway.

"All fixed, as promised. Sorry about the wait. It wanted to be temperamental for a bit, there."

[Venator Praedae]

Venator waves back. "No worries darl'n. I'll figure id oud in no dime."

There is a bit of an awkward silence following that as he rubs the back of his helmet with his hand. "Look... dis is... ah forged id, I'll jusd say id. 'Boud me gedd'n a bid hod under de collar ad ya a few weeks ago. Yer righd, ad de end of de day, yer a Mandalorian and da's wad madders de mosd. So wa I'm dry'n do say is... I'm sorry."

[Sacha Ordo]

"I accept your apology. Besides, probably a lot of people are going to respond like you did. I need to be ready to face that," she replied with a small nod.

"I had plenty of opportunity to run off and be a sorcerer if I'd wanted to. I'm a Mandalorian to the core."

[Venator Praedae]

"Good do hear pardner." Venator replies with a nod.

He fishes something out of his backpack. "I picked dis up in de cidy. 'Boud dime I ged an upgrade. Can ya addached dis do ma gun?" He gestures to the blaster rifle on his back.

[Sacha Ordo]

She nodded. "Sure. Attaching it's the easy part. You want any major changes to it?"

[Venator Praedae]

Venator hands her an attachment to enable rapid fire.

"I'd like a sedd'n for rapid fire. 'Long wid de usual ones. De guy said da gun may ged shakier dan a goose in marmalade, so I god somedh'n else do help sdeady id."

[Sacha Ordo]

"Sounds good." She went up the gangway, gesturing for him to follow. She'd apparently set up a small workbench inside. Nothing fancy, but it was a place to keep her toolkit.

She took the attachment and the rifle and started to work. "We'll get the repeating working first."

Venator follows Sacha inside and makes note of the workspace. "Looks like ya already god sed up here. Imma gonna move my gear in lader."

[Sacha Ordo]

"Yeah. There's even space for me to set up a miniature forge, which is good, since I need to fix my armor," she replied with a sigh. "The beskar plating wasn't perfectly done."

She sorted her tools out. "Okay, now for the stabilizer."

"Groovy." Venator takes a look at the weapon.

"Are you able do re-use de beskar or do ya need more?" He asks about her armour.

[Sacha Ordo]

"Not sure yet. If I need more, it won't be much," she replied, leaning back in the chair.

[Venator Praedae]

"Mind if I give id a dry?" Venator asks.

"So ya ready for dis big baddle da we're 'boud do have wid da Imps?" He asks.

[Sacha Ordo]

"Sure, go nuts."

A moment passed and she shrugged. "Ready as I can be. Can't get any readier in the time we have, so I better be." She chuckled but it was a little dry and humorless. "I volunteered to board the Star Destroyer."

[Venator Praedae]

Venator steps outside briefly to try some test shooting before he comes back. "A lil shaky bud I'll manage. Some pracdice and id'll feel good."

"Good luck. I'd go bud Imma sdill hurd'n bad from chas'n a mark. Give dem Imps a good kick in de pands fer me."

[Sacha Ordo]

"Yeah. Autofire's going to be like that no matter what," she agreed.

"This is the Way. They won't know what hit 'em," she said, giving a thumbs up. "Of course, I'm mostly gonna be there to be an engineer." She taps her helmet's "chin" thoughtfully. "I should learn slicing..."

[Venator Praedae]

Venator nods. "Learn'n new skills da goes along wid yer sdrengdhs. I am plann'n on upp'n my pilod'n game."

[Sacha Ordo]

"Excellent... I'll have to rely on you for that. I'm not great at it," she admitted.

[Venator Praedae]

"No worries. I godcha covered darl'n. I'll be able to land on de dail of a Hudd in four shakes." Venator gives a thumbs up.

"Do ya have any ideas on wa ya wanna upgrade on yer gear?"

[Sacha Ordo]

"I'd like to make my suit sealed," she said. "Always a good precaution."

[Venator Praedae]

Venator nods. "A purdy good precaushion. Dhough da means ya can'd ged sumsh'n else. I'm guess'n ya did some work on yer armour already? How 'boud yer weapons?"

[Sacha Ordo]

"I think my sword has about as much as I can handle, and I'm a terrible shot," she explained. "I'd like to build a new weapon, though."

[Venator Praedae]

"A sword in a gun fighd? Guess some people like do hid id up ol' skoole." Venator comments. "Has da worked oud good for ya so far?"

[Sacha Ordo]

"To be honest, I've come out the least scathed of all of my companions in most situations," she replied with a grin. "It was how my caretaker taught me. I want to learn more of his techniques, though. He could block blasters, and that seems pretty handy when, like you said, bringing a sword to a blaster fight... At least a beskar sword."

[Venator Praedae]

"Beskar swords are cool. Are ya gonna ged a shield do go widh id? Will help keep ya safe from blasder fire." Venator suggests.

"My go do for close combad is my drusdy knife."
