[Djanik]

"Ah yes, I should say, I'm looking for ship parts. I can't speak for Venator or Verse here."

With a faint shrug, he glanced at the roster of speeders for rent.

"I think I can manage six seats without breaking the bank. Any more and we may want two speeders, instead of the price hike for a speeder bus."

[Verse Aura]

"I'm looking for a bunch of stuff, anything really. Whatever I can use to modify equipment with, so anything from bolts to igniters and high-range electronics."

[Venator Praedae]

Venator tips his helmet at the newcomer. "Welcome darl'n. Always handy da have more hands on a job. Venador Praedae da's name. Wuh ya see is wuh ya ged. Imma jus here da find some lood. Maybe if we're lucky we can find something da help with gedding a ship. A swanky new weapon be nice doo."

"I can keep my eyes oud for any varmids da may wanna jack us. Help some with scaveng'n and pilot if need be as well."

[Elaranu]

Elaranu listened to Djanik and Verse, nodding at what they said since it aligned with her own needs. Then the Mandalorian spoke up.

All she could do was blink a little, "Pardon... but I..."

She turned to the other two, "Did either of you understand a word of that? That WAS Galactic Common, yes?"

[Verse Aura]

"Well, that seems a little rude," Verse said, "I'm sure the helmet just makes it more difficult to speak."

Also, it was probably a dialect, but the helmet theory seemed more plausible to her.

[Djanik]

Djanik laughed, and then glanced at Venator.

"It's not so hard. You just have to assume all the consonants got lost somewhere while he was hunting something large, with too many teeth."

Patting the mandalorian on his shoulder pads, he added, "Salt of the earth, you learn the lingo if you hang around long enough."

[Venator Praedae]

"Course id was Galacdic Common. Do ya undersand da words com'n oud of ma mouh?" Venator shakes his head. He seems a little indignant? Maybe?

"So ya god a name li'l lady? Waddya bringin' do dis li'l hodown?"

[Elaranu]

"I... only learned started learn the language five years ago, you must understand. The lingo, as you say, throws me off. It is like when people talk really fast, though I am getting better at that, yes yes. ...yes, my name. I am Elanaru."

She seemed a bit flustered, but gave a small bow of her upper torso, with an arm crossed over it, regardless.

[Verse Aura]

"You've only learned Galactic Basic five years ago?" Verse found that a little odd, but mostly just intriguing.

[Elaranu]

"Yes yes. It was taught at the academy alongside Huttese. No reason to use anything but Cheunh back home, trade language with the outside traders."

[Djanik]

Djanik had been distracted from the conversation by an argument near the counter about speeder prices, and hurried over to see what the current sale was, and see if he could haggle the price down.

[Verse Aura]

"Oh, I've been listening to this Hutt throat-rock band lately, they're pretty good. Maybe I should learn Hutt though so I know what they're singing about."

[Venator Praedae]

Venator nods. "Always good to know da lingo. Huddese is preddy popular around the Ouder Rim. Ids handy if you wanna planed hop."

[Elaranu]

She nodded a littlrle as she watched the other Chiss leave, turning back to the other two, "Yes, well... You can never be too prepared, I think. Speaking of which, we were talking about scavenging?"

[Verse Aura]

"Oh yes, it's not... it's not illegal, is it?" She seemed worried for a moment. "I just need some power-converters and the like, but they're so expensive when bought from the merchants here."

[Venator Praedae]

"Da's for sure." Venator nods. "Noth'n wrong wid scaveng'n. Jus godda wadchoud for any vulchures. Imma just look'n for some scrap da sell."

[Elaranu]

Ela listened carefully this time, before nodding, "There is no city or law enforcement around that area, supposedly. I am less concerned about breaking laws than things long since being picked over. Or hostile squatters."

[Venator Praedae]

"Been dere a long dime da's drue. Dhough ships are mighdy big. We can probably find a good haul if we dry." Venator comments.

"As for squadders." He fingers trace the handle of the blaster pistol at his hip. "We just be ready to defend ourselves, need be."

[Elaranu]

"I mean, I am certainly no fainting damsel, as I think it is said. I know how to use blaster as well as any. I am hoping it does not come to that."

[Venator Praedae]

"Yeah. Somedimes a show of force works bedder to keep varmids to jus dink'n 'boud robb'n ya. Radher dan jus robb'n ya." Venator comments.

"In any case, bedder to have a crew da wadch yer back."
