[Day - 2 LA] Fire and Flames [Event RP Thread]

[Xanna Teevou]

''Here is the map...follow...'' he was interrupted by the shot of a heavy gun. The impact propelled him backwards into a ditch formed by a previous blast. He coughed blood.

Suddenly a familiar face was staring down at him, though it was streaked with blood and grime. Carefully she administered a stim pack. "Bowse? Bowse! Can you hear me?"

Xanna gently shook the Nemoidian's shoulder before carefully turning to look out over the crater. "The gunner is distracted, we need to move, now." There was a nasty wound on her side that looked fresh, and blood had seeped into her clothes.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

As fate would have it, Ru'ni almost crashed into the trio of ladies coming back from the battle. He wasn't much of an imposing presence, but he fell into line with them, bolstering their forces at least a little. When it came to combat he couldn't do much but if it came to it, his death might buy time for the others to escape.

"Sinn'ya, what....Viati are you..." Ru'ni stumbled all over his words before a clarity flashed behind his eyes. "Where is the bitch who did this?"

"Thanks, Jabber," Dove didn't decline the stim to replenish the one that was used.

And then all sorts of things were happening. The Neimodian was shouting orders, and... did she see lightsabers through all that smoke? No, it had to have been a trick of the light. There were no lightsab...

"Mia, have you seen the kid?"

[Verse Aura]

As fate would have it, Ru'ni almost crashed into the trio of ladies coming back from the battle. "We fought her off," she said to the man, "but... she took my friend captive..."

Verse, carrying Sister Viati emerged from the area where she had fought the 13th sister. Maybe people had seen the flashes of lightsabers there, or heard their thrum. Perhaps not. There was a lot going on, after all. A lot still happening.

"Where to?" she yelled toward the Twi'lek that should be guiding them.

"This way."

Sinnya weighed the risks of moving Viati further against the risks of delay in getting her to real medical treatment. She navigated a course that split the difference, avoiding the violence and sticking to quieter alleys as she led Verse toward the area where the Enclave bordered on the colonist slums. If they came to a good bolt-hole--or stumbled upon help--before they made it all the way to the foreign witch's clinic, they could decide whether to stop or press on.

After a while, as they paused while Sinn peered carefully around a corner, she gathered her scattered wits enough to ask, "... so. Are you really a Jedi?"

And then help arrived, possibly. "Brother Ru'ni! You're alive too." Her relief was obvious. "She foresaw her death, but she was wrong. She's going to make it, we just need to get her to help. The d--the Sith is gone, for now."

[Verse Aura]

Verse had nodded to the girl's question. It wasn't like she could really hide it anymore even if she wanted to.

[Ru'ni Wayne]

"Sinn'ya, what....Viati are you..." Ru'ni stumbled all over his words before a clarity flashed behind his eyes. "Where is the bitch who did this?"

"We fought her off," she said to the man, "but... she took my friend captive..."

"You will not want for allies to retrieve your friend." Ru'ni swears. "I think many will be seeking to return the favour of this attack on these innocents."

[Ru'ni Wayne]

And then help arrived, possibly. "Brother Ru'ni! You're alive too." Her relief was obvious. "She foresaw her death, but she was wrong. She's going to make it, we just need to get her to help. The d--the Sith is gone, for now."

"There is enough death already today, the Aznuri will endure this as all things, but we need our leaders to do so. It is good you have Viati, have you seen Sisters Hulia or Hanibu?"

[Verse Aura]

"That's good to know," she said with a weak smile, "I guess... we'll have to talk to the... what was her name again... Yusandr, see if she's got the location of Camp-14. That's probably where they took her."

She glanced over her shoulder, to the sister she was carrying. "But first we have to get some more medical help. I guess I could use some too."

[Sinnya]

"Yes, camp-14, that's what the Sith said, wasn't it?" Sinnya had been dazed, but not completely out. "The same place that trooper was talking about yesterday." Or was it the day before? The long boring-scary stretches stuck inside the captured transport had eventually begun to blur together.

"I haven't seen either of those two. But that's not all. Brother, the Sith was talking about the Calm." She lowered her voice instinctively.

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"Thanks, Jabber," Dove didn't decline the stim to replenish the one that was used.

"Kriff, the kid!" Mia pulled her hidden blaster out from under her coat and looked around. She peeked out from behind cover, over where she could have sworn she saw those fancy laser swords. It didn't even occur to her that others whom had retreated could have been involved in it. "Kid! Petrus, where are you?!"

[Ru'ni Wayne]

"I think there was....around here somewhere....a healer, " Ru'ni scans the area looking for Juri through the smoke and the haze, but his search is interrupted by Sinnya's comment.

"Then someone knows too much to be permitted to leave this system." He responded very coldly in tone to mention of the Sith's knowledge of the Calm.

[Verse Aura]

"If she knows about it, it's possible others among the empire do as well," Verse said.

She of course knew only a little about the 'Calm', really just what Sister Hulia had told her.

[Juri Saizesh]

Juri checked over Daunt, checking for any lasting injuries. Breathing in, she brought her hand up to his cheek. "I told tou to be careful." She whispered, before looking around.

She kept her medkit prominent, knowing that others might need help.

Her eyes scanning the survivors. "Who needs help? We... I can aid."

Assuming she could hear the offer of help, she raised up a hand. "Here!"

Verse herself was pretty injured, but the woman she carried was likely much worse off, as was the Twi'lek.

Bowze cough some more blood but he opened his eyes, aware and wary. Immidiately he grabbed her arm to pull her down.

''No, stay here...the gun will overheat in a few shots, we will move then but not before.'' his gaze focused on her ''Miss Xana...I'll live but you don't look so great yourself...here...''

Reaching inside his robes he got a stimpack out and a commlink

''Take one for yourself.'' he said before opening his comm ''It is the nemoidian talking...how is...shit...allright stay down and regroup.''

She gave him a curiously energetic grin. "I've had worse, but thank you." As Bowse organized the troops she counted the shots from the Repeater until the trooper began to curse.

"Okay, now we go! You keep telling them what to do." Xanna half-dragged the Nemoidian out of the crater in the direction of help. She pushed aside the pain of her own injuries easily enough. Once they had proper cover she guided them towards the group of survivors.

“She knows, but she doesn’t know how to find it. That’s why she hurt Viati, trying to make her tell.” Sinnya’s concern was still almost entirely for the woman who’d nearly died; she hadn’t had time yet to get over her own close call.

“We need to hide her. But—“ she too spotted Juri and waved, even though doing so made her wince. “That’s her,” she told Verse. “The witch from the clinic. What’s she doing here?” Not that Sinnya was going to look a gift bantha in the mouth.

Bowze followed as well as he could, still a bit dizzy from the shot

Across from the triage on the second story of an Aznuri home, Liua called down and said, “Psst… hey sleemos, there is someone hurt in here!”

That’s when a Tie Fighter makes a strafing run and suddenly there is an explosion and the building is a wreck! Smoking stone and rubble!

"Oh, I would say rather a lot, to be perfectly truthful Bowse. There is still much that can be done, beings to be saved." She looked over at the others nearby, noting the faces and looking for familiar ones.

''I admire you nerve, miss Xanna, but it is folly. We need to evacuate the compound with as much people as we can...'' he stopped to take a breath, switching his commlink channels

''This is not good. We need to buy more time...'' he looked up ''Is that Liua? What is she soing here?''

And then the tie strafed

"No!"

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus had just made his way from the battle. His face was pale, covered with and dirt. But while he was panting heavily, his chest heaving, he didn't seem to be panicking. Maybe just a little.

Although he certainly considered it as he saw blaster fire strike the building Liua was in. "No, no." He hissed. Wincing, he ran over to the wreckage, moving as fast as he could make his wounded body go.
