Time Out Take Out (D1, Mid-Evening, Mia/Dove apt)

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"That's the spirit. Hopefully nothing happens tomorrow that'll keep us from going then," Mia said, totally not baiting impending doom.

[Dove Gray]

"Yeah." Dove nodded, returning to her meal. "We can go after checking out that cram berry thing. Sounds like some kind of fun activity the locals engage in, so it's good for us to join in on it."

[Petrus Karath]

"Head out from there? Sure." Petrus nodded agreeably. "And hey, you'll get to see a bit of Jaklu." He spread his hands, smiling. "Maybe save the trip to the hot springs until next time, huh?"

He looked at Mia. "What do you think? Hot spring vacation, sometime? Maybe just a day trip?"

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"I'm not sure if we'll have time for that until, well, we succeed in our mission." Mia folded her hands, trying to summon up thoughts on how to proceed. She wasn't a tactician; all of her motivational speeches came from pure instinct.

"Aw come on, everyone needs a bit of R&R on occassion," Dove gave Mia her best puppy-eyes look.

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus helped. As a Nice Young Man, he gave pretty good puppy-eyes himself.

"Maybe if we can get some people at the hot springs to join in too," Mia said. She then smirked and shook her head. "That being said, it's good to be fresh. Not like I worked on the field everyday."

[Dove Gray]

"I will shake my money-maker on behalf of the Resistance." Dove wiggled her eyebrows enthusiastically.

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus laughed, casting Dove a quick amused glance.

"Yeah, I mean, even back in my old life, we got to rest from time to time." Petrus shrugged. "I mean, that usually was just reading, or quiet meditation. But natural beauty aids in meditation. Sometimes we'd have the opportunity to rest in really beautiful places. Like when I spent a few days on Ithor." Petrus sighed in pleasant reminiscence.

"Dove, inappropriate!" Mia exclaimed. She gave a meek look to Petrus and then sighed. "Is this hot spring near this 'feeling' of yours, kid?"

[Petrus Karath]

Grimacing, Petrus shook his head. "No, not really. Deep desert. Sorry, I can't get more specific than that. It just doesn't work that way."

He looked at his two friends. "That probably doesn't help what you're looking for. But I can't help thinking that they're connected. Maybe this prison has..." Petrus thought for a moment, and then shook his head. "Something about my destiny there, too."

Dove only grinned at the admonishment for inappropriateness.

"Well, I might not believe much in this religious stuff, but I believe in your gut-feeling. And well, if I were to put a high-sec prison into the desert, I too would put it into the deep desert. Can't have any random sandlicker just strolling up to it."

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"My brother mentioned this sorta stuff enough for me to believe in it," Mia added in support of the 'kid.' She pulled out her datapad and laid it out on the table. "Now then, we can head on over after the festival, because we certainly ain't missing it."

She then blinked and looked up at Petrus. "Any chance that this feeling will just go to this super evil camp?"

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus shrugged. "Sure. It's possible. I'm guessing that whatever I feel is drawing me towards that camp." He spread his hands. "But it's not like a compass. We can't just triangulate it, or drive around while I point, or anything like that. It's just a feeling."

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"Well, maybe the Speed Freak from my home planet will be willing to give us a ride," Mia said before giving Petrus an encouraging thumbs up. "I don't really have the same 'feeling' but I'm betting this might be key to doing, well, what's needed."

[Dove Gray]

"Yeah, he could be a good person to have around. Also handy with fixing things." Dove knew that neither she nor Mia were any good at mechanical stuff.

"Everyone got protective gear for a desert-wanderin'?"

[Petrus Karath]

"I do." Petrus said, raising a hand. "I'm also pretty handy, you know. I mean, I'm not an engineer or anything, but that's how I've gotten by sometimes, when you two are away."

He set his empty plate aside, apparently finished.

[Dove Gray]

"Mm, that's true. Maybe you boys could exchange notes on it, or something. Better two than one, at least." And Astin seemed to know how to ride a speeder pretty well too.

[Petrus Karath]

"Sure." Petrus waved a hand. "Why not?"

He glanced at his chrono. "Warrior's Heart is on soon." He smiled at his two sorta-moms. "Either of you wanna join me? Last episode was ending on a cliffhanger. Aaliq was just waking up, but she couldn't remember anything. I wanna see if she recognizes Elgin, and realizes that he's the one who pushed her."

[Mianerra Tavvos]

"I don't like jumping into the middle of shows. Gets kind of confusing," Mia answered, "Besides, there are still chores to get done here. Missed a lot of them due to, well, stuff."

[Dove Gray]

"Mm," another nod from Dove. "Gotta finish up here, and head out for work." She indicated her guitar by jerking her head in its direction.

"Another time, Petrus. I know you like that show a lot."

[Petrus Karath]

Petrus nodded. "Yeah, okay. Some other time." He sighed gently as he rose to his feet.

He looked back and forth between them. "I mean that. My place, sometime soon, okay?"
